Another key problem was going over the 2000 word limit. I reached the word limit in the conclusion
making me have to cut things out of the conclusion, introduction and background information.
The other problems i faced were:
People telling me they re not interested and just walking off
Calling the council numerous times to get the answers needed
As there is negative there are many positive things I have learnt while i was creating my SGP. They
include:
Learning how to construct a well written report
Greater self confidence in asking random people questions on the street this resulted in me gaining
better communication skills
I have learnt many new ways of gaining data and how to use many chemicals and metres to determine
the results. This assignment has also gave me a look at how the council manages its time to make the
creek cleaner.
If I was to do this again many things will be different. They include:

Antigone Essay Throughout history, cultures from around the world has set hat standards for women
to abide to. Up until the twentieth century, women were viewed as second class citizens by society and
had less freedom and rights than their male counterparts as compare today in the modern world where
women can be more involve in society. Although women still face discrimination such as the glass
ceiling in the business corporate world, the quality of life of the western woman today has drastically

Creon would never in a million suspected Antigone to have broken his law because Creon views
women as being submissive to men and not brave enough to do such as a bold act. Once the Guard
capture Antigone caught in the act of trying to finish the burial of Polynieces, Creon is in disbelief
because the perpetrator of the crime is not a man but a girl. When Creon asks Antigone if she bury her
brother, she answers I admit I did it. I won t deny that. (Sophocles 500). She does not hesitate when
she tell Creon that she bury actually she proudly admits what she did and justify her act because it is
the will of the gods which upset Creon even more Here she again displays her proud contempt having
done the act, she boast of it (Sophocles 546 547). Creon does not even talk directly to Antigone at first
but face the Chorus Leader because is still in shock a girl would be brave enough to break the law and
disobey him. Later Creon and Antigone began to argue whether or not it is right or wrong for
Polyneices not to be bury. One of the

Richard Attenborough Research Paper
The religious beliefs if film icon and Gandhi director Sir Richard Attenborough
Legendary British film actor Sir Richard Attenborough passed away on August 24 at the age of 90.
The performer, producer, and director starred in dozens of films, and is most well known for his roles
in Jurassic Park, The Great Escape, Flight of the Phoenix, Miracle on 34th Street, and A Bridge too
Far. Attenborough also produced and directed many movies himself, his most acclaimed work being
the 1982 biopic Gandhi for which he personally won two Academy Awards.
The critically acclaimed Gandhi was Attenborough s passion project. The film featured British actor
Ben Kingsley now famous, but little known at the time in the titular role, and Attenborough both
produced and directed the biography. Although he won two Academy Awards, the film itself won
eight. Criticized by historians for contributing to myth making, the film was nonetheless a critical and
financial success, earning 20 times its $22 million budget. The project finally got off of the ground
after 20 years of Attenborough attempting to secure funding. By selling off his possessions and
spending so much money I couldn t pay the gas bill, he was eventually able to produce the biopic
himself. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Admitting that he would remain open to the idea of faith, the actor and film maker was critical of
organized religion which he saw as a source of conflict. Attenborough told The Scotsman, I can t
believe, as Gandhi did, that there s only one religion, one form of practising your credo. I am at a loss.
I will go on trying because I would be arrogantly stupid not to, but having to adhere to custom and
conviction in terms of practice I find destructive rather than constructive. It seems to me that
organised, formal religions have done a fair amount of damage in terms of our chances of living

Summary Of A Model Of Christian Charity
In 1629, the Massachusetts Bay Company gathered a royal charter to settle a new Puritan colony in
New England. After losing patience with the english government and Charles the first for their dislike
of the puritan group, they did not fight fire with fire so they left to North America after hearing the
group found a new colony in New England. This would give them the ability to practice their beliefs
without persecution. As they ventured to the new colony, John Winthrop wrote a necessary sermon, A
Model of Christian Charity where he and his other founders kept record of hoping to achieve a
community remaining sole devoted to God, that stay true to Calvinism and who are united as a group.
A Model of Christian Charity was written to ensure that even when obstacles occur, the Puritans will
stay united rather than fighting amongst each other. That they will not let their struggle to start in a
new area take over their beliefs that they will have a strong society over the society in England.
Winthrop s sermon starts with the most first question that comes to mind when thinking of why people
are in the positions that they are in, why are some poor and others rich? To answer this, he addressed
three reasons why God wanted it to be that way. The first was that a variety of people means different
ways that god will be honored. Another reason was that the rich would perform acts of kindness to the
poor or less fortunate and this would further the spirit of the ideal life.

The National School Lunch Program Essay
The National School Lunch Program (NSLP), originally initiated in 1946 under the name the National
School Lunch Act, has served in excess of 224 billion school lunches to children throughout the
United States since its inception (National School Lunch Program). The goals of the program include
serving a school lunch that meets certain nutritional requirements and is available at low or no cost to
eligible students (National School Lunch Program). While the program has undergone many changes
over the decades, the core tenants of the program have remained intact. Changes should be made to
the way the National School Lunch Program operates to ensure that all students have access to a lunch
that is nutritious and affordable for all income levels, while accommodating the palate of each child.
In numerous incidences around the country schools have reportedly denied their students school
lunches because their lunch accounts are overdrawn in some cases by only a couple dollars (Green).
Also, traditional packed lunches are under fire, in part, because some administrators who feel that the
lunches are not nutritious enough for students have banned them (Eng, Hood). Because some school
children are going hungry and have no other means of obtaining a meal during the school day, the
school lunch program needs to take additional measures to ensure that the needs of all US students are
being met.
Although families with lower incomes may be eligible for reduced or free school

How Is The Australian Legend Poem
In the opinion of historian and author of The Australian Legend Russel Ward, his representation of the
typical Australian is a practical, rough man who gives things a go. Other perceived ideas stated in his
text are; masculinity and mateship, egalitarianism, larrikinism, anti intellectualism and stoicism.
Published in 1958, these ideologies symbolize the typical man in the days in was written, whereas
nowadays it can be perceived differently with modern, multicultural Australians. Though most of the
ideas are still accurate to todays people, it was only focused on the men, and not the women or general
society including the indigenous. I have chosen to analyse two classic Australian bush poems by two

Back Pain And Tendons
Back Pain and Tendons
The skeletal muscles supplies us movement, which is supported by the posture. Our muscles will
shorten, tighten, contract, and promote mobility. The muscles join with bones that attach to the
tendons. Once the muscles begin contracting, the muscles are stimulated and join the fibers through
our motor neuron cells. The nerves makeup axon, body of cells, dendrites, etc, and these elements
transmit impulses to the nerves, sending the impulses to the major components of our system, such as
Central Nerve System. The network joins with cells, fibers, muscles, etc, and conveys messages,
transmitting them through sensations that stop at the brain. The brain transmits signals that are sent
from motor impulses and carries onto ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In fact, the coccyx lies at the bed of the second spinal column. Damage to this baby can lead to serious
problems, which the coccyx is non supported. The coccyx creates the fused bones. The fused bones
reside at the baseline of the spinal columns. The bones in summary are the tailbone.
The coccyx is at greater risk than any other element within the skeletal structure, since the coccyx can

Resuscitation is the process of clearing the airway. The act is performed by smoothly tilting the head

are present, you want to take extra precautions if resuscitation is necessary. Once you clear the airway

Brown V. The Board Of Education
Brown v. The Board of Education Topeka, Kansas, 1950, a young African American girl named Linda
Brown had to walk a mile to get to her school, crossing a railroad switchyard. She lived seven blocks
from an all white school. Linda s father, Oliver, tried to enroll her into the all white school. The school
denied her because of the color of her skin. Segregation was widespread throughout our nation. Blacks
believed that the separate but equal saying was false. They felt that whites had more educational
opportunities. Mr. Brown, along with the NAACP and many civic leaders, fought for equal
educational rights for all races. Brown v. The Board of Education case and the events leading up to it
had a positive effect on education and society. Community events in our country leading up to the
Brown v. The Board of Education case were segregated. The Plessy v. Ferguson decision of 1896
made segregation stronger with the separate but equal doctrine. Blacks and whites are separated in all
areas of society, including education( Supreme Court Decisions ). Segregation in schools existed
throughout the nation. While segregated schools were legal, they were never equal(Walker). There
was a lack of educational and equal rights in African American communist(Walker). By the 1950 s, the
African American communities were fed up with not having the same educational rights and
opportunities as white americans. An African American team, lead by Thurgood Marshall, won several

Analysis Of The Theropod
The dinosaur group named the theropods shook the Earth at one point in time. This group, which
included Tyrannosaurus Rex and velociraptors, had razor sharp teeth used to tear prey apart. But over
many time periods, these vicious predators traded their serrated teeth in for long beaks and feathers.
No one quite knows how the theropod transformed its teeth into a beak, but a recent study discusses
insight on the evolutionary mechanics behind the transformation. A Tyrannosaurus rex linked to a

Juvenile Charged with Murder of Two Month Old Infant An eleven year old African American
juvenile girl was charged with murder in the state of Ohio for killing a two month old baby girl, Zuri
Whitehead. The mothers were friends who had met while working at a medical clinic at Cleveland s
Cuyahoga County jail, and the defendants mother had previously taken care of Whitehead s other two
children without problem or concern. As stated by the article, the baby was staying overnight at the
eleven year old girl s request (name not given due to the age of defendant). At about 9:30pm that
night, the juvenile s mother had called, saying that she was close by and had wanted to take care of
Zuri for the night. At around 3am that morning, the mother had fallen asleep on the couch only to be
awoken by her daughter holding the badly injured baby and saying that something was wrong. She
had taken the baby upstairs, and when the eleven year old girl had come back downstairs, Zuri was
found bleeding and her head was badly swollen. The older girl s mother panicked and called 911.
Shortly thereafter, Zuri was flown to a children s trauma unit in Cleveland where she died during
surgery for sever internal injuries. Police who are currently investigating this crime are saying that the
eleven year old will be undergoing a psychiatric evaluation. She will remain in custody of the Lake

The Opportunities and Obstacles of the voter registration laws
States that have implemented voter registration laws claim that those laws are put into place to prevent
voter fraud and safeguard the voting system (Underhill, 2015).
Conversely, adversaries to voter registration laws, namely the civil rights movement, contest that voter
registration laws impinge on the rights of voting citizens (Underhill, 2015). Furthermore, opponents
disagree with the aforementioned voting system transparency but actually overpowers votes of the
majority and takes away from minority voters, specifically, the Black community. This is

My Greatest Accomplishment Was Being A Three Time...
My greatest accomplishment was being a three time heavyweight champion. I got my first title when I
was 22. The fight was February 25, 1964 in Miami Beach, Florida. I was a 7 1 underdog against that
ugly bear, named Sonny Liston. I told him he was too ugly to be a champion and I should be the
Champ because I was young, fast, and handsome. I was right, I beat that ugly bear in the seventh
round. Float like a butterfly sting like a bee is what I told that him. After that fight, I won 11 fights
before losing the belt to Joe frazier. Then in 1975 I regained the title back by beating him in 15
rounds. I said no one could beat me twice and I meant it. Unfortunately, I later lost it to some chump
named Leon Spikes in 15 rounds. Never count me out because I won the title back again one more
time. I got revenge on Leon Spikes and got back what was mine in a unanimous decision. I finished
my boxing career with a 55 6 record and best of all being called the greatest of all time, which I
cannot disagree with. The biggest obstacle people thought I would have, was to overcome being an
african american. But I took pride in the fact that I was labeled black. Especially during the time when
it was mostly white athletes in professional sports. My biggest obstacle was being a Black Muslim,
because the Black Muslims had a bad reputation for hating white people or thinking they were evil.

Employee Engagement Is Essential For Any Productive And...
Employee engagement in the workplace is essential for any productive and successful business. It is a
level of commitment and involvement an employee has towards their organization and its values. An
engaged employee feels a sense of purpose and belonging, and has the drive to improve performance
for the overall benefit of the organization. Effective engagement of one employee will motivate others,
inspiring the entire atmosphere of the workplace to where all employees are focused on their
organization s success. According to Gallup s 2013 State of the Global Workplace study, only 13
percent of employees across 142 countries are engaged at work. The study also revealed that 63
percent are disengaged and almost a quarter of all employees are actively disengaged (Gallup, 2013).
Engaged employees are crucial to protecting the competitive positioning of an organization. Bolman
and Deal (2013) state how a skilled and motivated workforce is a powerful source of competitive
advantage (p. 133). However, recognizing a strong and highly motivated workforce that is committed
to a company s mission and objectives can be a challenge. This paper will focus on best practices to
effectively engage employees, analyze the effectiveness at Hoag Hospital, provide recommendations
for further enhancement, and describe ways to improve leader effectiveness.
Best Practices Organizations must work to develop and nurture employee engagement. With the strong

Interracial Marriages And Its Effect On Society
Interracial Marriages (relationships) have existed for years, though society traditionally has had
difficulty accepting these unions. Over the years, attitudes toward interracial relationships have
changed dramatically and will likely continue to change as our society becomes increasingly diverse.
An interracial marriage is generally defined as the union between two individuals who come from
different racial/ethnic backgrounds, such as and African American women and a white American male.
Interracial has been difficult to define. Society has had difficulties accepting interracial relationships.
Don t let opinions get in the way of love. Slaves at this time were legally permitted to marry, though
many enslaved people entered into extralegal marriages that were recognized in their own
communities. Most states prohibited interracial marriages. These prohibitions, which were known as
antimiscegenation laws (a term that originated In the 1860s), gained strengths. These laws applied
only to marriages between African American and whites. Racial prejudices also affected the
government s use of marriage as a way to confer citizenship. In 1855 Congress passed a law granting
citizenship to foreign women who married American men (Edwards). From colonial times until the
1960s, antimiscegenation laws declaring race mixing and intermarriage illegal were common in most
state laws. These laws were intended to protect whiteness and thus were not generally enforced for
marriages

Comparing The Methods Using Products And Services
M2: Compare the methods used to distribute products and services.
For M2, I will compare the different distribution channel for two different product which is food and
clothing. I will examine how retailer distribute food and clothing and what s required to ensure the
product is at good condition before it reach to customers.
Food
The distribution of food is different from clothing as suppliers will need to bear in mind how to
appropriately handle food products, example, and health inspection in storage room to avoid
transmissible disease. The food distribution is short to ensure that the food is fresh and will not go out
of date. This is why many food retailer like Tesco mainly source their product in UK than overseas.
Food like fruits are perishable therefore retailers need to take in consideration to how they will handle
the product, transport they are going to use, preservation of product and how it s going to be packaged
before they sell it to customers. Perishable food like fresh strawberries or frozen food are both time
and temperature sensitive. This is why business like Tesco usually temperature in their storage room is
at optimum temperature range to maintain quality and freshness of the food like fresh strawberries.
On the other hand, Tesco also packaged their food like fresh strawberries in a plastic container to
ensure that it s not going to smash. This also enables customers to purchase the product easier as the
fruit is already packaged for them.

Genesis 25 Thesis
Genesis 25 is primarily written in prose, but God s words to Rebekah about her pregnancy emphasize
the importance of what he is saying to her and the fate of her sons. The poem reads, Two nations are in
your womb, and two peoples born of you shall be divided; the one shall be stronger than the other, the
elder shall serve the younger (Gen. 25:23). God has foretold that the two brothers will have numerous
descendants that are able to form two nations, but he doesn t explain why they will be in conflict. As is
common in the Bible the youngest son achieves superiority over his elder brother. There is an odd
choice of words in this poem though. By saying that Esau will serve Jacob it implies that he will

Rereading it though he does have a point to be this way, Jacob received the best blessing from his
father and when begged to also get a blessing Isaac gave Esau a rather harsh and pitiful one. What was
said in Jacob s blessing was the complete opposite for Esau. The word serve is also mentioned in this
poem, Isaac is telling Esau you shall serve your brother (Gen. 27:40), but there is no further evidence
that ever supports this claim that he does serve Jacob, unless both God and Isaac were not literally
talking about the brothers but the two nations they establish. Verse 40 also supports this idea with
Isaac s phrasing of, and you shall serve your brother; but when you break loose, you shall break his
yoke from your neck. (Gen. 27:40), in Genesis 33 Esau and Jacob meet again after several years and

Adjustable Speed Induction Motor Drive
PWM Adjustable Speed Induction Motor Drive
Abstract:
This paper investigates adjustable speed induction motor drive using 2 level and 3 level PWM.The
result obtained is verified using Matlab simulation. This result compares the hamonic contect in
between 2 level and 3 level by FFT analysis tool.To analyse the resulta a carrier based pwm was taken
using 2 level and 3 level topology and a threephase bridge convetor with internally generated
capability SPWM/SVPWM was intrduced. Carrier freqency18*60Hz, modulation index 0.9, output
voltage freqency 60 Hz and ouput voltage phase 0 degre Was fixed. So corresponing to above
values, the motor speed was 1800 rpm. Or 188.5 radian/sec, hence torque is 11.87Nm. A two pole
squirrel cage motor was taken subjected to 400V dc source with modulation index0.9 prduces 220v
rms.when motor starts, at 0.5s it reaches its steady speed 181 radian/sec or 1728 rpm. Now by
discretizing the FFT tool displays the frequency spectrum of voltage and current waveforms. These
signals are stored in workspace in the ASM structure with time variable generated by the Scope block.
As my model is discretized, the signal saved in this structure is sampled at a fixed step and
consequently satisfies the FFT tool requirements. It was observed that value of total harmonic
distortion(THD) was 65.77 percent in 2 level and 35.11 percent in 3 level for SPWM invertor and
56.77 percent for SVPWM invertor.

The Audit And Compensation Committees Essay
This paper contributes to the auditing literature by investigating empirically auditors responses to
overlapping membership on audit and compensation committees (overlapping committees) and the
equity holdings by overlapping audit committee members. Boards of directors are at the helm of
corporate governance and work through sub committees (Adams, Hermalin, Weisbach, 2010;
Hermalin Weisbach, 1998; Hermalin Weisbach, 2003). Delegating different board functions to distinct
committees represents a separation of tasks and functions, and has been strongly recommended as a
suitable mechanism for improving corporate governance (Kesner, 1988; Spira Bender, 2004). Two
important sub committees found in modern organisations are the audit and compensation committees.
The audit committee is a subcommittee of the board of directors with delegated authority to oversee
the auditing and financial reporting related matters of the firm. The compensation committee, on the
other hand, is entrusted with responsibility for setting managerial pay, including an optimal amount of
performance based incentive pay. The question of whether overlapping membership, where at least

Community Digital Art
Many artists around the world work with a canvas, on paper, and many other ways of drawing, even
since computers and technology became mainstream artist have also started using the digital world as
their canvas. I started digital art when I first started on the computer and I ve been hooked ever since.
Digital art is a great way of drawing without making a mess on your desk, it s all accomplished in files
and programs on your computer. In the beginning there wasn t really any programs that allowed you to
freely draw what you wanted. When Windows XP first came out, many creative minds started to
realize there was a program called Paint on their desktop. Paint wasn t a very cutting edge program but
it was advanced for its time and many digital artists started with it. I actually believe that it is indeed
much easier to use a computer to draw than it is on a canvas or ... Show more content on

Orthodox Christianity Research Paper
Being of Greek and Bulgarian descent, Orthodox Christianity has played a tremendous and positive
role in my life. We, as Greeks, are a proud and religious people; and are firm believers in God, the Son
of God, and the Virgin Mary and the Orthodox Saints. Through my theological education, knowledge
of history and personal experience, I have learned to conceptualize that Orthodox Christians promote
peace, harmony and unity among all mankind, condemning violence.
Those of the Orthodox faith believe that when Jesus created the Church nearly two thousand years
ago, He created only one church; hence, they (every Orthodox Church) are unified and viewed as a
single entity. (1) People of the Orthodox faith follow the Divine Liturgy, the Old Testament ... Show

being is introduced into this world, they have the ability, to discern for themselves, using the mind that

freedom to make their own decisions and choose their own actions. It is at the sole discretion of every
one of God s children to choose the type of person they wish to portray in this lifetime. Some of God s

How Did Eva Perón Change
On May 7, 1919, Eva Perón, the most influential woman in 20th century Argentina, was born in a
small city outside of Buenos Aires. In 1934, Eva moved to Buenos Aires to follow her dream of being
a famous actress. In Buenos Aires, she got her famous nickname Evita . Like most people she
developed her character over time, and for Evita, this a was largely influenced as she climbed slowly
but surely to the top of the acting world. Evita s character changed as she did more work and as she
climbed the acting ladder, but fundamentally she was a woman who enjoyed luxury and would do
anything to achieve it. In 1944, her intentions changed when she met her husband, Juan Manuel Perón,
the future president of Argentina . From then until her death, Evita

The Importance Of Unconditional Love For Children
and precious throughout the course of their relationship, as each one explores each other. As children
grow from infancy to adulthood, they will develop their own personality traits, opinions, and
challenges. They will no longer pay attention to their parents like they used to as an infant who
intently focused on them. Parents need to be aware of their children s evolution and be able to handle
it (21). It may be easier to redirect toddlers who are focused on playing with specific toys than it
would be to redirect teenagers who are experiencing problems with alcohol or other drugs. This kind
of love may require that parents use tough love and intervene with their children s addictions, by
expecting them to accept responsibility for their behaviors, not rescuing them while continuing to
support them. Thus, even when parents do not approve of some of their children s behaviors, they
need to have unconditional love for them. The group members gave their opinions about the topic.
They acknowledged that unconditional love was important, even when children misbehaved. One of
them told about when he was incarcerated and how his mother maintained her undying support of him.
She wrote him letters and phoned him weekly while sending him care packages too. Another person
mentioned that unconditional love was deep and endearing. No one loved the person like her parents
and children did, not even her husband. That kind of love was accepting another person with their
warts and all. Thus,

Psychological Aggression Analysis
The stories were scored ranging from 1 (no secure base script) to 7 (secure base script). Both content
elaboration and prototypic scriptedness of the story completions were carefully assessed during the
scoring procedures (Waters et al., 1998). The appendix includes examples of stories that received both
high and low scores. Two raters scored the stories. Cohen Kappa for interrater reliability between the
two raters was .80. For secure base scripts, principal component analysis indicated that all items
loaded on one factor. For female participants, this factor contained 52% of the total variance
(eigenvalue = 2.08), with an alpha of .69. For male participants, this scale contained 55% of the total

Participants were asked how they managed disagreements with their dating partners over the four
months preceding the study. The psychological aggression subscale included 8 items, including items
such as I insulted or swore at my partner. The physical assault subscale consisted of 12 items. Physical
aggression included items like I pushed, grabbed, or hit my partner. Participants were also asked to
indicate the frequency of these actions for themselves and their partners. Reliability of these two
subscales ranged from .69 to 80. The modified version of the CTS is a widely used instrument with
good construct validity (Archer, 1999; Shook, Gerrity, Jurich, Segrist, 2000; Straus, 1990; Straus,
1995). In this study, frequency scores were used to create composite variables as suggested by the
scoring manual developed by Strauss (2004). More specifically, physical assault and verbal aggression
measure the aggression toward another for each participant, computed by averaging the self and
partner reports on the frequency of each action. Higher scores indicated higher frequency of the

Impact Of Convenience On Consumer Behavior
Impact of convenience in the mind of consumers in making purchase decisions in Australia
Introduction
There have been drastic changes in the Australian retailing landscape. Though Coles and Woolworths
are still the largest retailers, others like Aldi have made its way in increasing its market share. At the
same time, local convenience stores still continue to function throughout Australia. It indeed comes to
one s mind as to what are the factors that are contributing to such consumer behaviour; whether it is
some special skills of the local convenience stores or whether the prices offered are better (which
seems like a less possible scenario) or is it just the convenience of the stores being located nearby
which makes such model operational even in the wake of intense competition between the majors and
addition of online capacity by new entrants. Given the circumstances, a research based on identifying
existing small scale operations and finding what prompts consumers to purchase from such stores will
indeed give some insight regarding whether convenience plays any important role in purchasing
decisions of consumers in Australia.
Research Aim
The aim of the research is to identify the causes of consumer behaviour in making purchase decisions
from local convenience stores and whether such decisions are related to any forms of convenience or
is it due to other factors.
Research Objectives
The objectives of the research are as below:
1. To study current status of convenience

How Is Hector An Epic Hero
Some may contemplate why Hector is considered one of the heroes, in Homer s The Iliad, without
truly understanding the meaning and characteristics of a heroic man. First and foremost, Hector in
particular is one of the most important figures of The Iliad because he embodies general ideas and
essential qualities of an epic hero. Throughout the entire book Hector, prince of Troy, is presented as a
man going to dire straights to protect the city he so dearly loves. He also bravely faces his opponent, at
the end of the book, with great courage and true heroism, despite the fact he knows he is doomed.
Hector is a hero because he exemplifies key qualities and general ideas, fights for his family and city,
and bravely faces his greatest opponent, Achilles . ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Throughout The Iliad Homer portrays Hector as dignified, dazzling, and brilliant. He uses epithets
like, ...breaker of horses , man killing Hector... , and noble Hector... to describe the Trojan warrior.
These epithets all describe the skill and strength Hector possess. Hector, the mightiest warrior in the
Trojan army, exhibits immense strength and skill in Book 12 when he leads the assault that finally
penetrates the Achaean ramparts. This courageous action gave Hector great kleos, which was greatly
valued in Ancient Greece. In Book 16 Hector also bravely faces Patroclus, whom he thought was
Achilles, and kills him. The endurance, vigor, and dignity Hector acquires are all characteristics of an

One of the reasons why a department has high attrition rate is its Supervisor. If you are in this
department and you find your superior unbearable, would you rather quit or stay? The following tips
will give you more time to contemplate on the reason he is behaving that way and how you should
conduct yourself when he is around. Observe your feelings when he is around Are you frightened,
insulted and annoyed when he is around? Why is that so? Is it the way he speaks and the way he gives
directions? Try to relax when he is around and do not get affected by what your colleagues tell you

However, you can still veer off from humiliation by talking to him in private if you want to discuss
some concerns. Do not give him a chance to degrade you in front of your colleagues; else, it will
affect your self esteem. You can send him an email or chat to ask if he is ready for a short talk before
going to his desk. Avoid friction by filtering negative words when you are talking to him. Stay
respectful and utter positive language only as much as possible. Do not gossip Gossiping makes the
workplace disastrous. Do not start gossips or spread the unverified news about your boss. If you hear
one, do not comment, nor make any remarks. It will be very disappointing and will add friction to
your unhealthy relationship with your superior. Appreciate every good deed he does We may not know
the reason behind his arrogance and being obnoxious, but every person has a soft side. If a person
feels appreciated by other people, naturally he will reciprocate the feeling with good behavior.

matching patterns and determine whether siblings are more likely to have matching fingerprint
patterns.
II. Hypothesis: Siblings will be more likely to have matching fingerprint patterns than randomly
chosen pairs of unrelated people.

During the second and third months of pregnancy when the fetus is between 1 and 3 ½ inches in size,
the fetus develops pads on their fingers and palms which mark the beginning of the formation of
fingerprints (Johnston, 2015). The growth rate of the fetus and the placement of the pads on their
hands also helps determine what their fingerprint will indentations will be placed (Johnston, 2015). In
the third and fourth months of pregnancy, the skin of the fetus begins to develop from a transparent
layer into a waxy coating, which is called the basal layer, or middle layer. The buckling and folding of
this skin is part of the uniqueness of fingerprints (Johnston, 2015). The ridges on the fingers are the
first identifying marks that form on a fetus skin. How each individual structure is formed is
determined by what they touch in the womb and the fetus exact position in the womb (Johnston,
2015). The level of activity in the womb and the general chaos in the womb promotes differential
fingerprints development in fetuses (Johnston, 2015). By the time the fetus is about twelve inches in
size and six months old, the finger and footprints are fully

When Creon asks Antigone if she bury her brother, she answers I admit I did it. I won t deny that. (Sophocles 500). Richard Attenborough Research Paper The religious beliefs if film icon and Gandhi director Sir Richard Attenborough Legendary British film actor Sir Richard Attenborough passed away on August 24 at the age of 90. The performer, producer, and director starred in dozens of films, and is most well known for his roles in Jurassic Park, The Great Escape, Flight of the Phoenix, Miracle on 34th Street, and A Bridge too Far. Attenborough also produced and directed many movies himself, his most acclaimed work being the 1982 biopic Gandhi for which he personally won two Academy Awards. The critically acclaimed Gandhi was Attenborough s passion project. The film featured British actor Ben Kingsley now famous, but little known at the time in the titular role, and Attenborough both produced and directed the biography. Although he won two Academy Awards, the film itself won eight. Criticized by historians for contributing to myth making, the film was nonetheless a critical and financial success, earning 20 times its $22 million budget. The project finally got off of the ground after 20 years of Attenborough attempting to secure funding. By selling off his possessions and spending so much money I couldn t pay the gas bill, he was eventually able to produce the biopic himself. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... • 6. Summary Of A Model Of Christian Charity In 1629, the Massachusetts Bay Company gathered a royal charter to settle a new Puritan colony in New England. After losing patience with the english government and Charles the first for their dislike of the puritan group, they did not fight fire with fire so they left to North America after hearing the group found a new colony in New England. This would give them the ability to practice their beliefs without persecution. As they ventured to the new colony, John Winthrop wrote a necessary sermon, A Model of Christian Charity where he and his other founders kept record of hoping to achieve a community remaining sole devoted to God, that stay true to Calvinism and who are united as a group. A Model of Christian Charity was written to ensure that even when obstacles occur, the Puritans will stay united rather than fighting amongst each other. That they will not let their struggle to start in a new area take over their beliefs that they will have a strong society over the society in England. Winthrop s sermon starts with the most first question that comes to mind when thinking of why people are in the positions that they are in, why are some poor and others rich? To answer this, he addressed three reasons why God wanted it to be that way. The first was that a variety of people means different ways that god will be honored. Another reason was that the rich would perform acts of kindness to the poor or less fortunate and this would further the spirit of the ideal life. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 7. The National School Lunch Program Essay The National School Lunch Program (NSLP), originally initiated in 1946 under the name the National School Lunch Act, has served in excess of 224 billion school lunches to children throughout the United States since its inception (National School Lunch Program). The goals of the program include serving a school lunch that meets certain nutritional requirements and is available at low or no cost to eligible students (National School Lunch Program). While the program has undergone many changes over the decades, the core tenants of the program have remained intact. Changes should be made to the way the National School Lunch Program operates to ensure that all students have access to a lunch that is nutritious and affordable for all income levels, while accommodating the palate of each child. In numerous incidences around the country schools have reportedly denied their students school lunches because their lunch accounts are overdrawn in some cases by only a couple dollars (Green). Also, traditional packed lunches are under fire, in part, because some administrators who feel that the lunches are not nutritious enough for students have banned them (Eng, Hood). Because some school children are going hungry and have no other means of obtaining a meal during the school day, the school lunch program needs to take additional measures to ensure that the needs of all US students are being met. The nerves makeup axon, body of cells, dendrites, etc, and these elements transmit impulses to the nerves, sending the impulses to the major components of our system, such as Central Nerve System. Over the years, attitudes toward interracial relationships have changed dramatically and will likely continue to change as our society becomes increasingly diverse. These laws applied only to marriages between African American and whites. Racial prejudices also affected the government s use of marriage as a way to confer citizenship. In 1855 Congress passed a law granting citizenship to foreign women who married American men (Edwards). For M2, I will compare the different distribution channel for two different product which is food and clothing. Food The distribution of food is different from clothing as suppliers will need to bear in mind how to appropriately handle food products, example, and health inspection in storage room to avoid transmissible disease. The food distribution is short to ensure that the food is fresh and will not go out of date. This is why many food retailer like Tesco mainly source their product in UK than overseas. Food like fruits are perishable therefore retailers need to take in consideration to how they will handle the product, transport they are going to use, preservation of product and how it s going to be packaged before they sell it to customers. Perishable food like fresh strawberries or frozen food are both time and temperature sensitive. This is why business like Tesco usually temperature in their storage room is at optimum temperature range to maintain quality and freshness of the food like fresh strawberries. The Audit And Compensation Committees Essay This paper contributes to the auditing literature by investigating empirically auditors responses to overlapping membership on audit and compensation committees (overlapping committees) and the equity holdings by overlapping audit committee members. Boards of directors are at the helm of corporate governance and work through sub committees (Adams, Hermalin, Weisbach, 2010; Hermalin Weisbach, 1998; Hermalin Weisbach, 2003). Delegating different board functions to distinct committees represents a separation of tasks and functions, and has been strongly recommended as a suitable mechanism for improving corporate governance (Kesner, 1988; Spira Bender, 2004). Two important sub committees found in modern organisations are the audit and compensation committees. The audit committee is a subcommittee of the board of directors with delegated authority to oversee the auditing and financial reporting related matters of the firm. The compensation committee, on the other hand, is entrusted with responsibility for setting managerial pay, including an optimal amount of performance based incentive pay. The question of whether overlapping membership, where at least one audit committee member is also on the compensation committee, is desirable from a governance perspective has received increasing attention from professionals and researchers (Chandar, Chang, Zheng, 2012; Habib Bhuiyan, 2014; KPMG, 2008; Liao Hsu, 2013). They will no longer pay attention to their parents like they used to as an infant who intently focused on them. Parents need to be aware of their children s evolution and be able to handle it (21). It may be easier to redirect toddlers who are focused on playing with specific toys than it would be to redirect teenagers who are experiencing problems with alcohol or other drugs. This kind of love may require that parents use tough love and intervene with their children s addictions, by expecting them to accept responsibility for their behaviors, not rescuing them while continuing to support them. Thus, even when parents do not approve of some of their children s behaviors, they need to have unconditional love for them. The group members gave their opinions about the topic. They acknowledged that unconditional love was important, even when children misbehaved. One of them told about when he was incarcerated and how his mother maintained her undying support of him. She wrote him letters and phoned him weekly while sending him care packages too. Another person mentioned that unconditional love was deep and endearing. No one loved the person like her parents and children did, not even her husband. That kind of love was accepting another person with their warts and all. Thus, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 29. Psychological Aggression Analysis The stories were scored ranging from 1 (no secure base script) to 7 (secure base script). Both content elaboration and prototypic scriptedness of the story completions were carefully assessed during the scoring procedures (Waters et al., 1998). The appendix includes examples of stories that received both high and low scores. Two raters scored the stories. Cohen Kappa for interrater reliability between the two raters was .80. For secure base scripts, principal component analysis indicated that all items loaded on one factor. For female participants, this factor contained 52% of the total variance (eigenvalue = 2.08), with an alpha of .69. For male participants, this scale contained 55% of the total variance (eigenvalue= 2.23), with an alpha ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Participants were asked how they managed disagreements with their dating partners over the four months preceding the study. The psychological aggression subscale included 8 items, including items such as I insulted or swore at my partner. The physical assault subscale consisted of 12 items. Physical aggression included items like I pushed, grabbed, or hit my partner. Participants were also asked to indicate the frequency of these actions for themselves and their partners. Reliability of these two subscales ranged from .69 to 80. The modified version of the CTS is a widely used instrument with good construct validity (Archer, 1999; Shook, Gerrity, Jurich, Segrist, 2000; Straus, 1990; Straus, 1995). In this study, frequency scores were used to create composite variables as suggested by the scoring manual developed by Strauss (2004). More specifically, physical assault and verbal aggression measure the aggression toward another for each participant, computed by averaging the self and partner reports on the frequency of each action. Higher scores indicated higher frequency of the aggressive ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 30. Impact Of Convenience On Consumer Behavior Impact of convenience in the mind of consumers in making purchase decisions in Australia Introduction There have been drastic changes in the Australian retailing landscape. Though Coles and Woolworths are still the largest retailers, others like Aldi have made its way in increasing its market share. At the same time, local convenience stores still continue to function throughout Australia. It indeed comes to one s mind as to what are the factors that are contributing to such consumer behaviour; whether it is some special skills of the local convenience stores or whether the prices offered are better (which seems like a less possible scenario) or is it just the convenience of the stores being located nearby which makes such model operational even in the wake of intense competition between the majors and addition of online capacity by new entrants. Given the circumstances, a research based on identifying existing small scale operations and finding what prompts consumers to purchase from such stores will indeed give some insight regarding whether convenience plays any important role in purchasing decisions of consumers in Australia. Research Aim The aim of the research is to identify the causes of consumer behaviour in making purchase decisions from local convenience stores and whether such decisions are related to any forms of convenience or is it due to other factors. Research Objectives The objectives of the research are as below: 1. To study current status of convenience ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The growth rate of the fetus and the placement of the pads on their hands also helps determine what their fingerprint will indentations will be placed (Johnston, 2015). In the third and fourth months of pregnancy, the skin of the fetus begins to develop from a transparent layer into a waxy coating, which is called the basal layer, or middle layer. The buckling and folding of this skin is part of the uniqueness of fingerprints (Johnston, 2015). The ridges on the fingers are the first identifying marks that form on a fetus skin. How each individual structure is formed is determined by what they touch in the womb and the fetus exact position in the womb (Johnston, 2015). The level of activity in the womb and the general chaos in the womb promotes differential fingerprints development in fetuses (Johnston, 2015).
