Propaganda Document Analysis
In our propaganda project we incorporated many effective techniques. Two of which are
testimonial and loaded or emotional words. We had a celebrity endorsement from the great and
powerful Mrs. Chen. We used specific wording and phrases to inflict fear upon the readers. These
types of propaganda have proven to be effective in the past. Celebritytestimonials usually appeal
to younger audiences, while fear and disgust can be effective for people of all ages. Mrs. Chen
said, Eyes are said to be the key to your soul...who wants someone looking in your soul? This
should confuse people just enough so that it makes some sense. For the fear aspect of our
propaganda, we say that eye contact is impolite, can spread disease, can worsen your eyesight,...

Our poster s message is stating that infact looking directly into someone s eyes you will be in
danger of the consequences explained in our mission statement. On our poster we have an
extremely effective slogan and symbol. Our slogan is Nothing To See Here , which will intrigue
our huge audience targeted to feel that this is a secret that they only can hear and will be
relieved to hear it. The symbol we created to go along with the slogan is a red (for fear and disgust)
eye bulging from the paper with a pair of moveable glasses creating a dome over the eyes. The
symbol shows how gross seeing someone s eyes can be and how we should block the sight of them
as the shades are doing and with that, feeling some relief. In our poster we are using more vibrant
colors like red to describe the gross eyes to intrigue the audience and when we are sharing our
solution we have more calm colors like blue, to have the audience feel safe and calm while
reading the poster. The way the poster is being displayed is in a list kindof shape but we have
the middle of the poster with the symbol in more 3D and vibrant colors to master the affect we
want to hold true persuasion. Overall, are design elements for our poster are truly effective to
capture what are view for a better world and safer world is for our audience. The strategies are well
thought out and a good use for

Swot Analysis Of Sainsbury
Operating Profit Margin (OPM) this ratio gives the Sainsbury s management a lot of important
information about the firm profitability, mainly with respects to cost control. A high operating
profit margin means that a company has a good cost control or/ and that sales are increasing faster
than costs, which is the objective of every company.
Sainsbury s operating profit margin increased in 2014 by 0.43% to 4.21% (2013, 3.78%). This
means that every ВЈ1 of sale earns a profit of 0.0421 pence in 2014 and 0.0378 in 2013. Sainsbury s
increased in profit margin beats rival Tesco which has seen its operating profit margin at 4.14%,
3.76% respectively. According to Sainsbury s former chief executive Justin King rise of OPM is

Higher the net profit margin ratio than better. NPM are not the same as a GPM. Under GPM,
fixed costs are excluded from calculation. With, NPM ratio all costs is included to find final
benefits of the income of the business.
Sainsbury s seem to have more control of its costs in 2014 (2.99%) than it had in 2013 (2.58%),
increased by 0.41%. This indicates that Sainsbury s is more profitable. However, this situation
could change as they announced further cut prices which can lead to decrease in operating profit
margin.
Profitability Analysis
The long term profitability of a company is vital for both the survivability of a company as well as
the as well as benefits received by shareholders.
Return on Capital employed (ROCE) is the primary ratio as measure of how efficient the
organisation is at generating profits from its capital. A higher ROCE indicate more efficient use of
capital. ROCE should always be higher than the rate at which company borrows otherwise any
increase in borrowings will reduce shareholders

German Prehistory Sparknotes
Many of the ideas that served as a basis for the Nazi party s interpretation of the archaeological
record can be attributed to the work done by a German pre historian named Gustaf Kossinna.
Kossinna played a major role in the development of German prehistory. Following their defeat in
1918 at the end of World War Iand the signing of the Treaty of Versailles, the feeling of national
pride had fled from many of the individuals in Germany. Kossinna, sought to reignite the feeling
of German pride under the grounds that Germany was part of a superior Arian race. In emphasis
of this belief, he dedicated his book German Prehistory: a Pre eminently National Discipline; To the
German people, as a building block in the reconstruction of the externally as well as internally
disintegrated fatherland (cited by Arnold 1992: 32).... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
One aspect that made his book so appealing is the fact that he claims German responsibility for
almost all major technologic breakthroughs in western history. (Figure 1) He based much of his
research finding on the interpretation of prehistoric symbols that were found on pottery and
painted on cave walls. Interpreted as being an early form of writing, many of these symbols would
later be incorporated into the Nazi party. Further, his theory on Arian expansion in which he
mapped the spread of cultural and technological ideas out of Germany would lead to numerous
excavations in occupied

A Career As A Nursing Assistant
At 17 years old, I had the grueling task of deciding how I wanted to spend 40 plus years of my
life. I always aspired to land a career in the medical field, so I majored in biology like most pre
med hopefuls, but during my junior year, I no longer desired to become a physician. The
medical field was calling out to me, but the specialty of focus was incorrect. After graduation, I
went back to the basics and put my nursing assistant certification to use. I was introduced to the
field of nursing by assisting my mother and her interdisciplinary team on a hospice case. It
showed me how autonomous the job as a holistic hospice nurse is. The amount of dignity and
care they provided for both the patients and their family during the final phase of their loved
ones life was unfathomable, being able to help maintain the respect for human life not only
physically but spiritually as well was an enriching experience. It gave me an entirely new outlook
on life and death. I fell in love with the amount of compassion and empathy I was able to pour into

The Chemical Compounds Of Synthetic Fertilizer
Once soil is intoxicated, the chemical compounds in synthetic fertilizer create a harmful
environment for microbial life and are later dispersed to surrounding areas through the process
of hydrology. In naturally fertile soil, microbial life is diverse and abundant. In fact, as soil
microbiologist David Zuber has stated in his Soil Microbiology FAQ article, there can be
hundreds of millions to billions of microbes in a single gram (about the size of a navy bean in
volume) of soil. These microbes range from bacteria, actinomycetes, fungi, cyanobacteria,
protozoa, and microarthropods, all of which play very specialized roles in maintaining the
integrity of soil. Innately, microbes ward off pathogens, provide root protection, and maintain
oxygen and moisture levels. (Hermary). For example, microbes consume a naturally abundant and
potent form of nitrogen (NH4+), along with other compounds, and excrete preferred forms of
nitrogen (NO2 N and NO3 N). This process, fixation, allow microbes to maintain a fixed levels of
essential chemicals. Likewise, through the process of denitrification, anaerobic bacteria provides
oxygen to soil by removing excess nitrate (NO3 N), while other microbes aerate and disperse the
supplied oxygen. While microbes execute an assortment of other tasks, it is apparent that these
organisms create a balance. However, with the introduction of synthetic fertilizer, this natural
balance is ravaged. As a result of repetitive application of synthetic

The United States Post Office began in 1775, with the intention to create a bond across the nation
and allow every American access to affordable mail delivery service. (S1) Over the years there
have been many changes in the way people communicate. Gone are the days when the only way to
send a written message was through the mail. Technology has given us many new ways to keep in
touch with each other from email, to text messages, and even instant messages. Unfortunately, for
the United State Postal Service, these advancements, which have little to no cost, mean a great loss
in revenue for them. Since 2006 the Post Office has not turned a profit, which leads many people to
question whether their services should be privatized. (S2) The... Show more content on

of mail the Postal Service delivers dropped by twenty percent between 2006 and 2010, despite
the fact that they are responsible for delivering forty percent of the total mail in the world.
Approximately eighty percent of the budget of the Postal Service goes towards employee
benefits and salaries, and a large portion of that is retirement benefits. (S7) When compared to
other members of the government workforce, postal employees have the greatest benefits and
contribute the least to these benefits. (S2) When looking at the costs associated with the
employees and benefits, a lot of people believe the services provided by the Postal Service could
be handled a lot more effectively and cost efficient by a private company, who wouldn t be held
to their union contracts. Though people are sending less mail, the Postal Service has taken steps
over the years to create efficiencies to reduce costs. In the 90 s mail was sorted by hand into
pigeonholes. Back then it would take eighteen people to process around 5000 pieces of mail an

The Violence Of Hindu Honor Killings
In honor killings, most of the women are killed on the basis of an illicit relationship as specified
by their partner or family. Sometimes the killings are carried out for ridiculously pathetic reasons
such as failing to serve a meal on time can be seen as a stain on family honor and can lead to
woman s death. In modern time, where the world is revolving around technological advances and
the independence of women and gender equality, honor killings have exceeded and are more
rampant. While India is indeed a prominent exception to Islams near domination on contemporary
honor killingcases in the world, Hindu honor killings in India are of different form and command
from those of Islamic honor killings. Though no less gruesome, the honor killings in India are
mostly confined to the northern states of India. Besides, as Phyllis Chesler and Nathan Bloom
state these killings are perpetuated by sociocultural factors largely specific to India. As mentioned
earlier, in India, honor killing cases are not just limited to women, but they are also extended to
men. However, in Pakistan and other Islamic countries, majority of honor killing cases are usually
related to female victims, there are hardly any cases of male victims. In India, some of the major
motives behind these atrocities are caste specific motives such as immoral character and non caste
specific illicit relationships. In Pakistan and other Islamic countries, caste purity is not a concern,

Sexual Intercourse Within The Human Species
Introduction Sexual intercourse is an intriguing, yet touchy subject to most individuals. There are
nearly as many different beliefs in regards to the act of sex as there are for something as
prominent and controversial as religion. It is a topic that the majority of individuals do not want to
discuss, yet it is something that the majority of everyone is intrigued about. Throughout this
research paper we will take a closer look at sexual intercoursewithin the human species by
attempting to define what sex is, find out who partakes in this deed, determine when it is typically
done, and finally reveal why it is done.
What Is Sex? While the title begins with the pronoun who, not the pronoun what, it will be much

All of these communications assume that the speakers and listeners share a definition of sex that is
clear, consistent across situations, and unbiased by personal motives. In fact, there is limited
research evaluating individuals definitions of sex, and the research that does exist seems based on
implicit assumptions that may be problematic in some ways. (Peterson Muehlenhard, 2007, p. 256
268)
This statement is implying that they back the notion that the definition of sex is still unknown;
one hundred different individuals would give you one hundred different definitions of the
enigmatic term sex . Additionally, this confusion is established in an article by Judith Mackay
(2011) when she states that sex research, where it exists, is usually fertility related rather than
sex oriented. Even definitions vary. There is no agreed definition of sex counseling, obscenity, or
even what people mean by the term sex, all making comparable analysis difficult. But there is no
way that we could go any further into this research without establishing a set definition, so the
misperception must end now. For the sake of this research paper, sex will be defined as any
vaginal, anal, or oral intercourse between two or more individuals. These three different forms of
sex are often involved in sexual intercourse, but these terms can be ambiguous to many customary
individuals. Each of these different forms of sex varies from one another, all offering something

meeting the surface of his spiral notebook. He s meticulously spelling out T R I S T A N will

These were factors that made Tristan unique, creative, and fascinating. Tristan s parents wanted to
avoid having this label placed on any document in fear that it would impact his future likelihood
of joining the military or being accepted in an occupation. Therefore, they declined the option to
receive medication and instead wanted to address the ADHD as a part of Tristan s personality. The
couple felt it was important to begin teaching Tristan how to fit into the world that didn t accept his
nature. They began to teach him acceptable and unacceptable behaviors in the classroom. He was
told that it was all right to be uninterested in the teacher s content, but he could not run around the
room because that would be considered a distraction to the other students. In this sense, Tristan did
not interpret ADHD as disability, but rather a natural trait he had. In order to fit his teachers
behavioral expectations, he designed his own coping strategies. This included tap drawings,
breaking pencils under his desk, or daydreaming. He found that methods such as these either kept
his mind occupied or took him out of the dull world he was living in and placed him in his ideal.
Although this prevented him from straying from the school s guidelines, Tristan expressed that he
had difficulty learning and absorbing instruction in classes. Despite this hardship, he felt this was
the best alternative so that his peers could

Similarities Between Adam And Eve And Virgin Of The Rosary
Lauren Lavergne
Ms. Beltran
AP Art History 3
Due 1 November 2017
Adam and Eve and Virgin of the Rosary both have their roots set in religion. Adam and Eve is
one of the oldest stories in the world. The Virgin of the Rosary depicts one of the icons of the
Christian religion who beared the savior of the world Jesus Christ. Both pieces tell a story,
different but connected. The bible connects these two pieces both stories of creation. Both
represent the start of a new world of sorts. Adam and Eve Virgin of the Rosary
Adam and Eve by Albrecht Durer (1507) depicts the story of Adam and Eve reimagined with new
meanings and with artistic changes. Adam and Eve are standing together in a forest that seems to
be far removed from the Garden of Eden and seems to be German and seems to eerily resemble a
Grimm fairy tale. Even though the forest seems to be cold Adam and Eve stand naked, and stand
in a classical pose (where the person puts their weight onto one foot). The piece represents
naturalism, Eve is taking an apple from a tree. A parrot is perched to the left of them. There are six
other animals that stroll around without any interest in what is going on, the six animals are; an
elk, ox, cat, rabbit, mouse, and goat. The sign hanging from the branch that Adam is holding onto
has a contradiction within itself. The piece shows the artist as a citizen of Nuremberg (Noricus), but
it says so in Latin, the Latin language represents the

Essay Sir Isaac Newton s Three Laws of Motion
We have all heard the story of the apple falling on Newton s head while he was sitting against the
tree, thus
giving him the sudden idea for the Universal Law of Gravity. This, as I am sure most of us know,
is not really
what happened. A more accurate version would probably be, Newton observed an apple falling
from a tree
and started contemplating the physics of the apple s fall. The acceleration experienced by the apple,
which
started at zero when hanging in the tree, then increased as the apple fell. This as Newton reasoned
from his
second law of motion, means there must be a force acting upon the apple in order to cause the
acceleration,
this force we will call gravity. Thus giving us the acceleration due to this force ... Show more

From this we are able to tell that
if an object is either accelerating or decelerating than an external force must be acting on it even if
it is
simply the force of gravity, air resistance, or friction.
Newton s 2nd Law
This is probably the most known of all three of Newton s Laws of motion.
* The acceleration of an object is directly proportional to the net force
acting on it, while being inversely proportional to its mass.
More often though we see this law written as;
Fnet = ma
Where F equals the net force on the object in Newtons, m equals the mass in kilograms and
a equals the acceleration of the object in meters/second^2. Since force is a vector this can be
rewritten in three separate equations to take into account direction;
Fx = ma, Fy = ma, Fz = ma
Fnet = Fx + FY+ Fz
We must also remember that acceleration as well is a vector and therefor has three components just
like the force. When learning how to use Newton s 2nd Law, however, one usually only uses
examples
where there is only two directional forces acting on an object. These are usually the x direction (side
to side) and the y direction (up and down). For now we are only going to take into account these two
components.
This law is very useful in the fact we can determine the acceleration of an object if we know the
forces
acting on it as well as it s

other hand, is able to suggest a very obtainable solution of using television to teach a child basic
media literacy. Nyham also tries to put on an act for the reader by using medical terms and over
exaggerated words throughout the essay. The author tries too hard to sound educated using words
like infernal (3) or cynical nattering (19) and it comes off as a pathetic attempt to sound credible.
Douglas embarrasses the Boston Globe columnist in this category. Douglas credibility in this
subject remains unchallenged by Nyham s futile attempts to wow the reader with a few SAT
words. Throughout both essays, there is a communal agreement between Nyham and Douglas on
the fact that television has the ability to affect this generation s children in a very negative way;
however, Douglas believes if used correctly, television shows can be a tool for parents to use for
not only distracting their child for a few minutes, but also for teaching them essential life skills at a
young age.

The Federalist and Anti Federalist
Establishing an effective system of government has proven to be an obstacle for centuries.
Fortunately, the Founding Father recognized the common flaws of governments, as did many
common men in the colonies. Consequently, the ratification of the constitution was vital for a
healthy governmental system, though it did bring about much debate and persuasion. There were
two main positions which people took during the ratification, those being the Anti Federalist and the
Federalist. The Anti Federalist were a diverse assembly involving prominent men such as George
Mason and Patrick Henry, and also the most unlikely of individuals, those being Farmers and
shopkeepers. The chief complaint about the Constitution was that it confiscated the power from the
sates, thereby robbing the people of their power. Oppositely, the Federalist believed in removing
some control from the states and imparting that power to the national government, thus making
America partially national. Throughout this debate, many letters were shared between the two
sides, and eventually, it led to the federalist winning over the colonies. Despite what both parties
believed, many legitimate points opposing big government existed. During the course of history, it
has been proven that a large government has the tendency to become corruptive over time, thus
providing an explanation for the commotion during the ratification. The colonists argued the issues
regarding big government while using historical failures as their basis. They reflected mainly on
the ancient Greek and Roman republic, which was rich with ancient tales of tyranny and
destruction. Both of these cities had republics which broadened their conquests to other countries
and in repercussion, their governments became the some of the cruelest and oppressive to ever
be. Additionally, even expects had spoken out on the astronomically negative effects that a large
republic. The baron de Montestuieu was a brilliant French philosopher who inspired the colonist
with his belief that a larger republic would be composed of wealthy men who would find
happiness by oppressing their fellow citizens. Not only did experts express the promised downfall of

ABC News
ABC News, a reliable and formal South Australian news distributer, builds a trustworthy and ethical
television program while Sunrise, Channel 7 s morning news broker, provides an uplifted scaled
back version of current issues in Australia. The form, language and context are manipulated to form,
the purpose and bring in a set target audience. In this case the purpose of both programs is to inform
the audience; however, ABC focuses on trustworthy news while Sunrise connects with the audience.
Form is very important in news broadcasts; it helps construct the purpose of the program using

ABC airs on Channel 2 which regularly airs documentaries and informative programs where as
Sunrise airs on Channel 7, an entertainment and family channel. Channel 2 naturally draws in
more intellectual, education driven people as this channel airs programs such as Catalyst, a
science and technology program and The Business visiting current business and financial news.
Having both of these programs which require an educated audience consequently results in a
more educated and older demographic for ABC News. Contrariwise, Sunrise aired on Seven
shares its channel with programs such as Home and Away, an Australian soap opera and
Restaurant Revolution, a reality TV show. Seven s choice to focus on programs entertaining to
the majority of the population, due to the understandable, relatable and easy to watch, cast

ability to include cliff hangers, unlike ABC, therefore building and drawing in the same audience

Bonobo Intelligence Animal Essay
Why do we say that Bonobo has intelligence? Similar to humans might be a partial reason why
Bonobo is classified as intelligence animal. Many evidences show that Bonobo expresses its
intelligence in the natural world. Bonobo is highly intelligence and physically similar to human
ancestor. Bonobos were discovered in the forest along the Congo River in the Democratic
Republic of Congo in 1927. They are named as the pygmy chimpanzees because of the similarities
in their physical traits with chimpanzees. A lot of people make the same mistake in recognizing
Bonoboand Chimpanzeethough they have the same height. However, Bonobo come with leaner
body, smaller head and longer leg than Chimpanzee. Moreover, they physically feature as the
closest primates to humanwho hold almost 98.6 percent of their DNA comparing with human.( http:
//www.nydailynews.com)
Specifically, learning language indicates the most stunning ability about Bonobos intelligence.
Human is regarded as the intelligence animal because we can use language which distinguishes us
with others. Language covers many combinations of words such as grammars, sentences, phrases
that only human can understand. Since I was a child, I usually thought that the world of animal had
its own language that we did not know about it. Although many species can understand what their
species want to transfer in the world of nature by using methods such as waves or signal, but none
of them can deliver it into language. But we know this:

Logistics, Management and Strategy
THE FUNDAMENTAL OF LOGISTIC MANAGEMENT AND STRATEGY

Abstract
This paper provides a basic but fundamental understanding of logistic primarily based on the book
of Logistics Management and Strategy by Harrison and van Hoek. It will guide you through from
the basic definition and concepts to the different supply chain strategies that exist, as well as
providing a perception on the future logistic development. Explanation of principal terms like
logistic, supply chain management and supply network is discussed, and important logistic systems
like just in time, lean thinking and agile strategies are deliberated. Different ways of working

(2004). The partners or suppliers which are near the source and thus the production until the focal
firm are referred to as upstream (buyer side) (Harrison and van Hoek 2005). In contrary to the
partners or first and second tier customers which deliver to the final end customer are referred to as
downstream (customer side). However, all partners are responsible of adding value to the end
customer in each process they conduct, where the process can be explained as transforming inputs
to outputs. (ibid.) Another term which is similar to supply chain is supply network, where both
terms describe the objective of serving the end customer through the linkage of different partners.
Harland et al.‟s 2001 study (cited in Harrison and van Hoek 2005, p.10) distinct the term
network and chain as following: network as a complex structure of cross linkages between
organizations, and chain as a simple step by step link of few organizations. Harrison and van Hoek
(2005) points out that the supply network should be looked at as a system where there must be an
understanding of how all process are interacting with each other on a dependent way.
Competing through logistics
Harrios and van Hoek (2005) describe four ways of creating logistic advantage in which they
contributes to the competitive advantages of the company. The first way is to compete through

Biography Of Irving Penn And Diane Arbus
Before photography was considered a medium of personal art, it was used for the sole purpose
of portraiture. Carte de visites, daguerreotypes, and even tintypes were all used as a way to
convey a person s physical appearance into a print. As camera technology evolved, so to did the
way photographers take portraits. It skipped from a stale faced man behind a backdrop to
colorful and interesting photographs taken of people from all walks of life. Three of the
innovators of modern portraiture are Robert Mapplethorpe, Irving Penn and Diane Arbus. These
photographers changed the public appearance or ordinary people and celebities while integrating
their own original ideas. Irving Penn was born in New Jersey in 1917, he went to school to... Show

The style of his portraits adds to and even sometimes surpasses the fashion shown. While Penn
shot for vogue, he also strayed away from fashion some of the time to focus on influential figures
with the same style of the fashion portraits he took in the past. A series of his that is very
influential is his corner portraits from the late 1940s, where he took portraits of different
individuals all standing in a very claustrophobic corner, almost making them seem less important
than their influence states. Some examples of this include portraits of Marchel Duchamp and
Georgie O Keeffe: Two very prominent painters are photographed cut off from the work of art,
seemingly stuck in a gray walled room with no artistic fervor anywhere to be seen. The
photographs are bleak, but offer a sense of distance from the audience, enough to show these
famous individuals as humans. Penn creates beauty through humanity, with or without the help of
fashion his portraits convey truly an unhinged reality of fashion and art, unseen by the general
public. Robert Mapplethorpe s portraits are probably the most dissimilar from Irving Penn s in
terms of style and subject, but his photographs use the same ideas of beauty. Mapplethorpe was
born in Queens, NY in 1946, and studied at the Pratt Institute in Brooklyn before dropping out to

The Tv Show How I Met Your Mother Essay
In the TV show How I Met Your Mother, Robin Scherbatsky is a 30 year old woman that does
not portray the typical lady on most situational comedies. Being strong headed and loud
mouthed, Robin is continuously breaking gender roles by working her way up the business
world, not wanting to be a mom, and definitely not being weak or fragile. However, the problem
in society is that most women aren t as bold as Robin. Most women don t have the job security
or ability to be audacious to stand up to their boss or even just saying a powerful statement.
Society is faced with a question of can women be as successful as men in the workplace? Women
are unable to thrive in the workplace because they re expected by society to be submissive and
servile. Society is changing how women are raised, and not for the better. People often genderize
babies from the moment they are born. Right from birth, hospitals make it a point to identify the
genderof a baby by wrapping the newborn in either a blue blanket for a boy or a pink blanket for
a girl. This is because society assumes that just because someone is female, they would like the
color pink. Society is pushing parents to identify children based on gender early on, which also is
the beginning of how gender roles from. For example in the article Learning to be Gendered,
Penelope Eckert looks at the role that the gender of a baby has on the parents and how the parents
in return treat the child differently. In an experiment conducted in the

LD50 is the dose of a specific substance that kills 50% of test organisms, and it varies from

Bullet Proof Armor History
History
The first bullet proof armor was invented in 1897 by Korea and the Japan, it was made
of 30 layers of silk, which in that day could stop a black powder bullet it was nicknamed soft
armor. But then when firearms became more powerful it became useless. So a priest from
Chicago made it better by weaving 1.6mm steel plate between four layers of silk, he proved it
was bullet proof by having a man shoot at his chest from 10 paces (25 feet) away with a 44.
Caliber handgun, when it hit him he said he only felt a tap. So the inventor tried to make a life
off of his new vest. But sadly it never came true, because the military found that that the vest

The vest stops the force of the bullet from hitting you and going into you, it will disperse
the bullets energy across the entire Kevlar panel. If this didn t happen the bullet would hit you
and cause serious damage to the area you were shot in. So that is the reason they make the
entire vest in one piece, so it can take that force of energy from the bullet and make It spread
throughout the vest. (company, 2016)
How effective is it?
Kevlar is what soldiers use today, they can stop some handgun bullets. Such as a 9mm
which has a smaller amount of kinetic energy and a lower velocity, but with a higher caliber
handgun such as a .44 magnum, it has more weight to the bullet which means a larger amount
of kinetic energy and a higher velocity, so you would need up to 30 layers of Kevlar. (Allred,
2015)
How would I improve it?
The improvements I would make would be to make a material that was made of a
strong medal that stops bullets, then I would mix it with a flexible compound to make the

REVIEW OF LITERATURE Forecasting literature is replete with a number of studies ranging
from simple time series forecasting models to econometric models as also the forecasting models
employing artificial intelligence techniques etc. Researchers have employed the forecasting
models with a view to finding out the forecasted demand of traffic for a particular period.
However, the study findings reveal that there does not exist a single model which consistently
outperforms other models in all situations. Quantitative forecasting methods can be categorized
under three broad heads: (1) time series modeling, (2) econometric models and (3) other
quantitative models (Song and Li, 2008). Under time series models, several techniques are
available, e.g. Moving Average, Exponential Smoothing, Holt s Model, Winter s Model, ARIMA
etc. (Makridakis et al, 2003). In time series model, particular attention is paid to exploring the
historic trends and patterns of the time series involved and to predict the future of this series based
on trends and patterns identified in the model. Since time series models require only historical
observations of a variable, it is less costly in data collection and model estimation. However, these
models cannot account for the changes in demand that might occur in different periods. The major
advantages of econometric models over

The Difference Between Egenarianism And Egalitarianism
Due to this topic s controversy in the evangelical church, I am very grateful to learn about these two
different views. The variation of the views even within the egalitarian and complementarian
perspectives was interesting. It reminded me that in ourselves alone unity cannot be found. Only in
Christ can we obtain unity displaying a countercultural attribute that reflects His light and hope for
this world. I am praying for our Great God s faithful help in this.
Egalitarian Perspective In learning about the egalitarian perspective from Linda L. Belleville and
Craig S. Keener, the bottom line difference between egalitarians and complementarians seems to be
the extent of which women can lead men. The egalitarian believes scripture supports mutual
ministry opportunity for both genders. Belleville states Egalitarian is to believe in the mutual
gifting of women and men . (35) Keener s four options of viewing women in ministry is also very
helpful. The fourth option is The Bible permits women s ministry under normal circumstances but
prohibits it in exceptional cases, in which case we should allow it under most circumstances today
(Gundry, Beck 206). The egalitarian view is not about who has authority over a congregation, but
by grace is given to believers through Christ and the gift of the Holy Spirit, empowerment is given
both genders to minister to the congregation and equip the saints for ministry. Authority is given to
Jesus Christ. The command scripture gives to

Criminal Communication and Its Effect
This is an excerpt from an investigation I wrote for Comuniclab, the web magazine of the
University of Rome La Sapienza . The work has been featured in several magazines.
Criminal communication
Naples criminal cartels communication strategies We talk through our guns . I was 8 when, passing
by the headquarters of a mafia clan to reach my school, I heard this sentence. (...) It seems to be a
clear and demonstrated truth: for instance, the war between local gangs Ascione Papale and Birra
Iacomino killed 18 mobsters and wounded several people, between 2007 and 2008. The latter is
one of the most recent mafia wars, and many examples are from that experience.
Wars and murders make many people think that weapons are the best means of communicationfor
mafia groups, but that is incorrect. Actually, these organizations power is widely based on the
ability to communicate to people, in various forms, their dominion over the territory, the capability
to dispense life and death, success and failure, favors and punishments. It is usually hard to find
solid evidence about the power of communication , Mario Morcellini, Professor and Director of the
Department of Communication and Social Research at the University of Rome Sapienza , says. On
the contrary, when we see how criminal cartels use communication, this power appears to be crystal
clear. They are enterprises, built on a communicative and symbolic dimension, and communication

Derek played a veteran, Jaja was portraying a woman leaving an abusive relationship, and Alexia

convey; each dancer dove into character and brought out complex emotions through their
movements. The dancers connected deeply with each of their stories, even though they were

the piece demanded from them and because of this, the music overshadowed the performers. I
also disliked this piece because of the costumes. Keeping in mind that this piece was supposed to
have a loud, aggressive vibe to it, the costumes did not really portray that for me. Instead, they
were sloppy and distracting. They also got in the way of some of the steps, such as when the

The Importance Of Being A Photographer By Photographer
Anyone can be a photographer, as long as you zoom in on what you love. There was a girl who
found a liking to photography because she enjoyed capturing the essence of nature and art. She
loved being able to capture the uniqueness of objects living or not because there are so many
things people should get to see as well as think about how the picture can make that person feel.
Seeing a picture of a rainforest with beautiful trees and glittering water could make someone feel
relaxed, they can also develop an imagination in pictures like this. And that is why she wishes to be
a Photographer. The important thing about being a photographer is that there are certain techniques
and equipment in this career. When someone takes a picture, someone is able to put it on a
computer and edit it. An individual is able to put in color corrections, and other specialized effects.
When editing someone can use a computer, high quality printer, or editing software. When taking
pictures of animals, the individual must wear a type of clothing with a certain fabric so they do not
scare away the animal. Being a photographer takes more effort than someone might think. They
need to have the correct training, and adequate education. Employers look for photographers who
are also imaginative and creative. Those in entry level jobs learn how to set up the lights, cameras,

really put some things in perspective. Starting in 1608, the death penalty became present, and it is
a sanctioned practice where a person is put to death by the state as a punishment for a crime.
Although people make mistakes, the death penalty should be abolished due to inhumanity, taking
away precious lives, and it is an ineffective tool.
Even though it may be the simple way out, the death penalty is very cruel and inhumane. Back
hundreds of years ago, the constitution states that everyone has a basic right to live and a freedom
of speech. Whereas

The Adventures Of Huckleberry Finn By Mark Twain Essay
A study of Mark Twain s Adventures of Huckleberry Finn is an adventure in understanding
changes in America itself. The book, at the center of American geography and consciousness,
asks readers to reexamine definitions of civilization and freedom, right and wrong, social
responsibility and inhumanity. Published in 1885, the novel recounts those pre civil war days
when the controversy over slavery, with designated slave and Free states, disfigured the face of
America and its view of itself as a land of the free. Both geographically and otherwise, the story
is an examination of life at the center: the center of America s premier river, the Mississippi in
the middle of the geographical United states, with slave states below, free states above, which is
the route toward freedom and escape for Huck and Jim; the center of one of the foremost
conflicts on American soil, slavery, which soon results in a civil war; the center of the coming of
age of both a young man and a nation that struggle to understand redefinitions of nationhood and
freedom, right and wrong; and the center of a shift from Romanticism to Realism in art and letters
that would provide for a new way for Americans to express and re create themselves. The novel
offers an excellent example of American picaresque fiction and meaningful use of dialect, although
this dialect may be difficult reading for students for whom English is not a first language. Although
the final chapters of the book seem rushed and rife with

Analysis Of The Novel The Absolutely True Diary Of A...
The novel, The Absolutely True Diary of a Part Time Indian, by Sherman Alexie, fits some of the
most important criteria that makes a good book. The three criteria that makes a good book is a
hook that draws you in, a good conflict, and a relatable topic for the reader. The Absolutely True
Diary of a Part Time Indian has an excellent hook that wants you to read on. The first sentence in
the novelis, I was born with water on the brain (p.1). From here on, this hook makes you want to
find out who this person is and why he or she was born with water on their brain. This was an
interesting hook because it s not normal to be born with water on your brain, which made me
want to read to find out why. The second criteria that makes a good book is a good conflict. In
this novel, there are many conflicts, but the biggest one was when Junior leaves his school on
his Indian Reservation for a school that is in a mostly white town. Junior was telling his friend
Rowdy, that he was transferring schools, Man, I was scared of those Reardan kids, but Rowdy
absolutely hated all of it (p.51). Transferring schools was such a big conflict because he decided
to leave his only friend Rowdy, from his Indian reservation, leaving his friend Rowdy to hate
him. Reardan was mostly an all white school, so Junior felt he was going to be out of place. The
final criteria is being able to relate to the book in some way. There are many topics that the reader
can relate to from this book, but one that

This type of roof may be applied using a squeegee or by spray the roofing materials on to the
surface. There are no toxic fumes associated with this process, and a cold applied roof tends to
perform better than its heat applied counterparts. Rapid cure times make this the preferred
choice of many, and installation isn t dependent on the weather. Liquid Applied Roofs Liquid
Applied Roofs make use of a synthetic rubber that has been liquefied for this purpose. With the
help of this substance, cracks and crevices in a roof may easily be filled and the material is easy
to apply. It may be used over existing roofs, including wood and fiberglass, and is ideal for more
than just commercial applications. RV owners make use of this material to stop leaks in roofs
frequently, and home builders turn to liquid applied roofing materials to increase the longevity of
sealants and caulks used around protrusion points. The liquid also helps to prevent rust on
aluminum and steel roofs. Other Roofing Options And

1.0 INTRODUCTION
The blend of cloud computing and mobile computing presents mobile cloud computing, which
likewise show new issues of security dangers, for example, unapproved access to resources in
mobile cloud. Shielding portable distributed computing from illegitimate access turns into an
imperative concern to mobile clients. Definition of Cloud computing cloud computing is a sort of
on interest registering strategy that lets clients use IT assets, for example, system, server,
stockpiling, administration, application, so on through Internet when requiring them instead of
owning them. Distributed computing can be considered as a whole of SaaS

Country Music Problems
During the 1920 s, people have argued this to be known as the Roaring 20 s because of all the
new trends that were created in different areas of culture. One of the biggest reasons for this were
the birth of new music genres such as Country . People do love country music because of the
meanings behind every lyric of each song, but in reality country musichas brought more problems
than happiness to society. Some of the reasons why country musichas brought a lot of issues to
society are due to its horrible sound, the nonsense from the lyrics, and the use of weird
instruments such as an autoharp and a banjo. As a result of this combination, the percentage of
suicide from all ages has increased ever since country music was introduced. Suicide ratings have
been scaring scientists all over the world, they believe that people who listen to country music go
through 5 different stages that will lead them to their death. This is the biggest problem that
country music has caused throughout the course of its history. Not only has it scared the
population of big nations, but it has also scarred scientists because they have estimated that
humanity could become extinct in the next 30 years. Ever since country music was introduced to
society, the percentage of suicide has increased every year by 3% worldwide. In countries such as
Germany, Honduras, Uzbekistan and a few others have banned country music because it has
drastically decreased their population by 25%. According to New

Personal Narrative On My First Basketball Game
Time out
Pass the ball! Shouted everyone at once.
I was feeling really nervous. My hands were sweaty and my heart was thumping loudly.
I had the ball and everyone was screaming at me to pass it to them.
It was my first basketball game of the season and I was on a different and more advanced team
from last season.
It was so different from training. At training the basketball games that we played weren t this hard
and they were much more fun.
I had never been good at playing in front of people since I had started playing which was four years
ago when I was six years old.
I had seen the basket ball games on T.V and some of my friends played. After a month of begging
my mother to let me start playing she finally gave in.
I had loved playing

Similarities Between A Crab Spider And An Elephant
A generalist and a specialist, they may seem like complete opposites but are they? A generalist
can survive in a myriad of conditions oppose to a specialist, they can only thrive when certain
requirements are reached. Although a generalist appears to be entirely different from a specialist
they still both have similarities. This can be shown by the comparison of a Crab Spider and an
Elephant. A Crab Spider and an Elephant have a lot of sharp distinctions between each other but
they also have many similarities. One instant where this is the manifestation is how their behaviour
is in the presence of humans. Both an Elephant and a Crab Spider will not attack an individual
unless they provoke the species. Another

  • 2. Propaganda Document Analysis In our propaganda project we incorporated many effective techniques. Two of which are testimonial and loaded or emotional words. We had a celebrity endorsement from the great and powerful Mrs. Chen. We used specific wording and phrases to inflict fear upon the readers. These types of propaganda have proven to be effective in the past. Celebritytestimonials usually appeal to younger audiences, while fear and disgust can be effective for people of all ages. Mrs. Chen said, Eyes are said to be the key to your soul...who wants someone looking in your soul? This should confuse people just enough so that it makes some sense. For the fear aspect of our propaganda, we say that eye contact is impolite, can spread disease, can worsen your eyesight,... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Our poster s message is stating that infact looking directly into someone s eyes you will be in danger of the consequences explained in our mission statement. On our poster we have an extremely effective slogan and symbol. Our slogan is Nothing To See Here , which will intrigue our huge audience targeted to feel that this is a secret that they only can hear and will be relieved to hear it. The symbol we created to go along with the slogan is a red (for fear and disgust) eye bulging from the paper with a pair of moveable glasses creating a dome over the eyes. The symbol shows how gross seeing someone s eyes can be and how we should block the sight of them as the shades are doing and with that, feeling some relief. In our poster we are using more vibrant colors like red to describe the gross eyes to intrigue the audience and when we are sharing our solution we have more calm colors like blue, to have the audience feel safe and calm while reading the poster. The way the poster is being displayed is in a list kindof shape but we have the middle of the poster with the symbol in more 3D and vibrant colors to master the affect we want to hold true persuasion. Sainsbury s operating profit margin increased in 2014 by 0.43% to 4.21% (2013, 3.78%). This means that every ВЈ1 of sale earns a profit of 0.0421 pence in 2014 and 0.0378 in 2013. • 4. German Prehistory Sparknotes Many of the ideas that served as a basis for the Nazi party s interpretation of the archaeological record can be attributed to the work done by a German pre historian named Gustaf Kossinna. Kossinna played a major role in the development of German prehistory. Following their defeat in 1918 at the end of World War Iand the signing of the Treaty of Versailles, the feeling of national pride had fled from many of the individuals in Germany. Kossinna, sought to reignite the feeling of German pride under the grounds that Germany was part of a superior Arian race. In emphasis of this belief, he dedicated his book German Prehistory: a Pre eminently National Discipline; To the German people, as a building block in the reconstruction of the externally as well as internally disintegrated fatherland (cited by Arnold 1992: 32).... • 7. The Chemical Compounds Of Synthetic Fertilizer Once soil is intoxicated, the chemical compounds in synthetic fertilizer create a harmful environment for microbial life and are later dispersed to surrounding areas through the process of hydrology. In naturally fertile soil, microbial life is diverse and abundant. In fact, as soil microbiologist David Zuber has stated in his Soil Microbiology FAQ article, there can be hundreds of millions to billions of microbes in a single gram (about the size of a navy bean in volume) of soil. These microbes range from bacteria, actinomycetes, fungi, cyanobacteria, protozoa, and microarthropods, all of which play very specialized roles in maintaining the integrity of soil. Innately, microbes ward off pathogens, provide root protection, and maintain oxygen and moisture levels. (Hermary). For example, microbes consume a naturally abundant and potent form of nitrogen (NH4+), along with other compounds, and excrete preferred forms of nitrogen (NO2 N and NO3 N). This process, fixation, allow microbes to maintain a fixed levels of essential chemicals. Likewise, through the process of denitrification, anaerobic bacteria provides oxygen to soil by removing excess nitrate (NO3 N), while other microbes aerate and disperse the supplied oxygen. While microbes execute an assortment of other tasks, it is apparent that these organisms create a balance. However, with the introduction of synthetic fertilizer, this natural balance is ravaged. Similarities Between Adam And Eve And Virgin Of The Rosary Lauren Lavergne Ms. Beltran AP Art History 3 Due 1 November 2017 Adam and Eve and Virgin of the Rosary both have their roots set in religion. Adam and Eve is one of the oldest stories in the world. The Virgin of the Rosary depicts one of the icons of the Christian religion who beared the savior of the world Jesus Christ. Both pieces tell a story, different but connected. The bible connects these two pieces both stories of creation. Both represent the start of a new world of sorts. Adam and Eve Virgin of the Rosary Adam and Eve by Albrecht Durer (1507) depicts the story of Adam and Eve reimagined with new meanings and with artistic changes. Adam and Eve are standing together in a forest that seems to be far removed from the Garden of Eden and seems to be German and seems to eerily resemble a Grimm fairy tale. Even though the forest seems to be cold Adam and Eve stand naked, and stand in a classical pose (where the person puts their weight onto one foot). The piece represents naturalism, Eve is taking an apple from a tree. A parrot is perched to the left of them. There are six other animals that stroll around without any interest in what is going on, the six animals are; an elk, ox, cat, rabbit, mouse, and goat. The sign hanging from the branch that Adam is holding onto has a contradiction within itself. Essay Sir Isaac Newton s Three Laws of Motion We have all heard the story of the apple falling on Newton s head while he was sitting against the tree, thus giving him the sudden idea for the Universal Law of Gravity. This, as I am sure most of us know, is not really what happened. A more accurate version would probably be, Newton observed an apple falling from a tree and started contemplating the physics of the apple s fall. The acceleration experienced by the apple, which started at zero when hanging in the tree, then increased as the apple fell. This as Newton reasoned from his second law of motion, means there must be a force acting upon the apple in order to cause the acceleration, this force we will call gravity. Thus giving us the acceleration due to this force ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... When learning how to use Newton s 2nd Law, however, one usually only uses examples where there is only two directional forces acting on an object. These are usually the x direction (side to side) and the y direction (up and down). For now we are only going to take into account these two components. This law is very useful in the fact we can determine the acceleration of an object if we know the forces acting on it as well as it s ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Fortunately, the Founding Father recognized the common flaws of governments, as did many common men in the colonies. Consequently, the ratification of the constitution was vital for a healthy governmental system, though it did bring about much debate and persuasion. There were two main positions which people took during the ratification, those being the Anti Federalist and the Federalist. The Anti Federalist were a diverse assembly involving prominent men such as George Mason and Patrick Henry, and also the most unlikely of individuals, those being Farmers and shopkeepers. The chief complaint about the Constitution was that it confiscated the power from the sates, thereby robbing the people of their power. Oppositely, the Federalist believed in removing some control from the states and imparting that power to the national government, thus making America partially national. Throughout this debate, many letters were shared between the two sides, and eventually, it led to the federalist winning over the colonies. Despite what both parties believed, many legitimate points opposing big government existed. During the course of history, it has been proven that a large government has the tendency to become corruptive over time, thus providing an explanation for the commotion during the ratification. The partners or suppliers which are near the source and thus the production until the focal firm are referred to as upstream (buyer side) (Harrison and van Hoek 2005). In contrary to the partners or first and second tier customers which deliver to the final end customer are referred to as downstream (customer side). However, all partners are responsible of adding value to the end customer in each process they conduct, where the process can be explained as transforming inputs to outputs. (ibid.) Another term which is similar to supply chain is supply network, where both terms describe the objective of serving the end customer through the linkage of different partners. Harland et al.‟s 2001 study (cited in Harrison and van Hoek 2005, p.10) distinct the term network and chain as following: network as a complex structure of cross linkages between organizations, and chain as a simple step by step link of few organizations. Harrison and van Hoek (2005) points out that the supply network should be looked at as a system where there must be an understanding of how all process are interacting with each other on a dependent way. • 28. Biography Of Irving Penn And Diane Arbus Before photography was considered a medium of personal art, it was used for the sole purpose of portraiture. Carte de visites, daguerreotypes, and even tintypes were all used as a way to convey a person s physical appearance into a print. As camera technology evolved, so to did the way photographers take portraits. It skipped from a stale faced man behind a backdrop to colorful and interesting photographs taken of people from all walks of life. Three of the innovators of modern portraiture are Robert Mapplethorpe, Irving Penn and Diane Arbus. While Penn shot for vogue, he also strayed away from fashion some of the time to focus on influential figures with the same style of the fashion portraits he took in the past. A series of his that is very influential is his corner portraits from the late 1940s, where he took portraits of different individuals all standing in a very claustrophobic corner, almost making them seem less important than their influence states. Some examples of this include portraits of Marchel Duchamp and Georgie O Keeffe: Two very prominent painters are photographed cut off from the work of art, seemingly stuck in a gray walled room with no artistic fervor anywhere to be seen. The photographs are bleak, but offer a sense of distance from the audience, enough to show these famous individuals as humans. Penn creates beauty through humanity, with or without the help of fashion his portraits convey truly an unhinged reality of fashion and art, unseen by the general public. Robert Mapplethorpe s portraits are probably the most dissimilar from Irving Penn s in terms of style and subject, but his photographs use the same ideas of beauty. Being strong headed and loud mouthed, Robin is continuously breaking gender roles by working her way up the business world, not wanting to be a mom, and definitely not being weak or fragile. However, the problem in society is that most women aren t as bold as Robin. Most women don t have the job security or ability to be audacious to stand up to their boss or even just saying a powerful statement. Society is faced with a question of can women be as successful as men in the workplace? Women are unable to thrive in the workplace because they re expected by society to be submissive and servile. Society is changing how women are raised, and not for the better. People often genderize babies from the moment they are born. Right from birth, hospitals make it a point to identify the genderof a baby by wrapping the newborn in either a blue blanket for a boy or a pink blanket for a girl. This is because society assumes that just because someone is female, they would like the color pink. Society is pushing parents to identify children based on gender early on, which also is the beginning of how gender roles from. For example in the article Learning to be Gendered, Penelope Eckert looks at the role that the gender of a baby has on the parents and how the parents in return treat the child differently. Kevlar is what soldiers use today, they can stop some handgun bullets. REVIEW OF LITERATURE Forecasting literature is replete with a number of studies ranging from simple time series forecasting models to econometric models as also the forecasting models employing artificial intelligence techniques etc. Researchers have employed the forecasting models with a view to finding out the forecasted demand of traffic for a particular period. However, the study findings reveal that there does not exist a single model which consistently outperforms other models in all situations. Quantitative forecasting methods can be categorized under three broad heads: (1) time series modeling, (2) econometric models and (3) other quantitative models (Song and Li, 2008). Under time series models, several techniques are available, e.g. Moving Average, Exponential Smoothing, Holt s Model, Winter s Model, ARIMA etc. (Makridakis et al, 2003). In time series model, particular attention is paid to exploring the historic trends and patterns of the time series involved and to predict the future of this series based on trends and patterns identified in the model. Since time series models require only historical observations of a variable, it is less costly in data collection and model estimation. However, these models cannot account for the changes in demand that might occur in different periods. The major advantages of econometric models over ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Only in Christ can we obtain unity displaying a countercultural attribute that reflects His light and hope for this world. I am praying for our Great God s faithful help in this. Egalitarian Perspective In learning about the egalitarian perspective from Linda L. Belleville and Craig S. The egalitarian believes scripture supports mutual ministry opportunity for both genders. Belleville states Egalitarian is to believe in the mutual gifting of women and men . (35) Keener s four options of viewing women in ministry is also very helpful. The fourth option is The Bible permits women s ministry under normal circumstances but prohibits it in exceptional cases, in which case we should allow it under most circumstances today (Gundry, Beck 206). • 45. The Adventures Of Huckleberry Finn By Mark Twain Essay A study of Mark Twain s Adventures of Huckleberry Finn is an adventure in understanding changes in America itself. The book, at the center of American geography and consciousness, asks readers to reexamine definitions of civilization and freedom, right and wrong, social responsibility and inhumanity. Published in 1885, the novel recounts those pre civil war days when the controversy over slavery, with designated slave and Free states, disfigured the face of America and its view of itself as a land of the free. Both geographically and otherwise, the story is an examination of life at the center: the center of America s premier river, the Mississippi in the middle of the geographical United states, with slave states below, free states above, which is the route toward freedom and escape for Huck and Jim; the center of one of the foremost conflicts on American soil, slavery, which soon results in a civil war; the center of the coming of age of both a young man and a nation that struggle to understand redefinitions of nationhood and freedom, right and wrong; and the center of a shift from Romanticism to Realism in art and letters that would provide for a new way for Americans to express and re create themselves. The novel, The Absolutely True Diary of a Part Time Indian, by Sherman Alexie, fits some of the most important criteria that makes a good book. The three criteria that makes a good book is a hook that draws you in, a good conflict, and a relatable topic for the reader. The Absolutely True Diary of a Part Time Indian has an excellent hook that wants you to read on. The first sentence in the novelis, I was born with water on the brain (p.1). From here on, this hook makes you want to find out who this person is and why he or she was born with water on their brain. This was an interesting hook because it s not normal to be born with water on your brain, which made me want to read to find out why. The second criteria that makes a good book is a good conflict. Junior was telling his friend Rowdy, that he was transferring schools, Man, I was scared of those Reardan kids, but Rowdy absolutely hated all of it (p.51). Transferring schools was such a big conflict because he decided to leave his only friend Rowdy, from his Indian reservation, leaving his friend Rowdy to hate him.
