Gorillas are large primates, with males weighing up to 200 kg and standing 2 meters tall. They have small ears hidden in their jet black fur. Gorillas live in family groups in the forests and mountains of central Africa. They are herbivores that forage for plants like roots, bamboo, and bark during the day. Gorillas care for their young and play an important role in gorilla social structures. However, gorillas are now endangered due to habitat loss and poaching, so conservation efforts are needed to prevent their extinction.
