The Goodfellow's tree kangaroo is a species of marsupial found in the tropical rainforests of Papua New Guinea. It has grayish brown fur with a reddish brown back and yellow stripes. At 22-33 inches long with a 28-33 inch tail, it weighs 13-22 pounds. It lives in trees and eats leaves and fruits. Threats include hunting and habitat loss. Adaptations like strong limbs and claws, and a tail used like a rudder, allow it to survive arboreally in the rainforest.
