Thomson's Gazelle are common in east Africa. They have large ears, tan fur, and lyre-shaped horns. Males weigh 25-190 lbs. Fawns have white markings. They live in grasslands and brushlands of south Kenya and north Tanzania. Their predators include lions, leopards, and hyenas. Gazelles jump to confuse predators and can run very fast. Bucks are territorial. They communicate through snorting and have good senses.
