WHAT IS Google+?
Google+ is a social media platform that is meant to be a
networking site along with an authorship tool that
associates web-content directly with its author.
There are currently 540 million monthly active users.
Google+ TERMS TO KNOW
• Badges – Google+ Badges are
widgets you can place on your blog or
website.
• Circle – A way to organize the people
you follow and those who follow you.
When you publish content you can
choose which circles to publish to.
• Stream – Where updates from
Google+ members in your Circles
appear
• Sharing – You can share text,
images, video and links by publishing
• Profile – An individual’s place on
Google+ where you publish content.
• +1 Button – Similar to the Facebook
“like” button. When you click the +1
you are sharing the content.
• Ripples – A tool that helps you
visualize how content is shared and
discussed across the Google+
community. You can click any public
post on Google+ and select “View
Ripples” option to view the activity
related to that update.
