Google can now show your name and profile picture in search
results next to the stories you may have written. The image
turns link to your Google profile page.
As a content creator or blogger, this is an important feature
for you, because you can now indirectly claim authorship of
your content on Google search pages, this is called Google
authorship.
The advantage of Google's CTR can improve. This is because a
page of Google is often full of text and so people may be
attracted more towards an outcome that has a visual element
(author's photograph) is credited.

Google will often show the author’s profile picture
