Southern gothic literature is known for the irony it produces, how it can derail an
entire story, and take the reader for a ride. Southern gothic literature s definition of
irony deals with the history of the south. The irony that is shown in Stown is the
tattooes on John s body, but also the fact that the Burt s ended up buying John s
property after he had passed. Irony in Stown is to keep the reader interested and
has them wanting to find out more. Throughout the podcast, many things are
thrown our way, the irony of those things make it that much more interesting.
Some things stand out more than others for the characteristic irony. One that sticks

completely covered in them when he passed away. Brian once caught a flash from

Introduction: why does this matter? Origin story and meaning The Samoans are an
ethnic group that reside in Oceania, on the islands of Samoa, in an area of
Polynesia. Samoa has been occupied by these indigenous people for about 3000
years, when they came from the west, occupying the islands of Fiji and Tonga
around the same time (Barnes and Hunt 2005, 243). They carry many traditions with
their culture, however, I will be discussing their tradition of tattooing. Tattooing is
the process of inserting ink pigment into someone s skin to create a permanent
design on them. For Samoans, tattoos are much more significant than just a pretty
piece of artwork, they are, according to Ryman (2004), a right of passage. I will be
reviewing the importance of cultural tattoos, the process of being tattooed, and the
varying origin stories of how tattooing first came to Samoa. Samoan tattooing matters
because it is a cultural tradition that has been practiced in Samoa for over 3000 years

hinders performance. This is in line what we have learned in class bout how lack
of sleep often results in decreased cognitive function. More specifically how those
who are chronically sleep deprived have decreased performance similar to those

class on how the chances of medical errors increase when working re current 24

dendritic branches. In none of the experiments was any imaging done post training
to see any immediate effects. This would also enable them to better see the effect
of sleep on the mice by isolating any changes that came bout during the initial
imaging. What also should have been done is imaging of the dendrites half way
through the allotted sleep time. This would allow the researchers to see how
immediate sleep effects spine growth to determine if a full a 8 hours are required
and how spine formation rates may change as sleep

children to the finest schools. The middle class are like the Sandwich class because
they have more money than those below them, but less than the class above them.
They usually divide into two levels based on wealth and education. The lower
middle class is often made up of less educated people with lower incomes, such as
managers, small business owners and secretaries. The upper middle class consist of
highly educated business and professional people with high incomes, such as
doctors, lawyers, and stockbrokers. The working class are those who are minimally
educated who engage in manual labor with little or no prestige and usually the
unskilled workers are underpaid. Lastly the lower class, they are classified as by
poverty, homelessness, and unemployment. Some suffer from lack of medical care,
decent clothing, sufficient housing and food, and vocational training. Inaccurately,
the lower class are characterized as poor people as welfare mothers, drug dealers
