Analysis Of The Movie Apocalypse Now Directed By Francis...
An Apocalyptic Reality How would you picture Hell? Many people would probably describe Hell
as a place where all you could see and feel is fire and brimstone. Where demons constantly torture
those unlucky enough to spend eternity in a place of unspeakable horrors. Not everyone thinks
this way and who knows if there even is a Hell; but for a group of soldiers led by U.S Captain of
special operations Benjamin Willard in the film Apocalypse Nowdirected by Francis Ford Coppola,
their Hell is all too real. Though it was not in the form of fire and demons, but in the Cambodian
jungle during Vietnam. The film follows the journey of Willard, who begins the movie in search
of a new mission because he feels his life has lost purpose and craves the battlefield once again.
What he doesn t know yet is that he may be in a little over his head with his next mission. The
mission, which is top secret, is to follow the fictional river Nung into the heart of the Cambodian
jungle to find rouge Colonel Walter E. Kurtz and terminate him with extreme prejudice. Kurtz
who was a highly decorated member of the military himself has plunged himself head first into
the heart of darkness and now commands a group of Montagnard troops who worship him as a
demigod. Willard then joins up with a navy PBR or patrol boat led by a man named Chief and
crewmembers Chef, Lance and Mr. Clean. As they make their way up the river Nung, many events
happen to cause the crew to slowly lose their grip with

Life Is Precious In Human Life
Life is a precious gift from God. It is precious because He created it and declares it so in
His Word. It is meant not only to be enjoyed, but also respected. Life is not flippant and is not in
our hands or under our authority to bring into or take out of existence. That alone is God s power
and His authority. Mass shootings and terrorist attacks are an abomination to God because it shows
people taking God s role and authority and applying it to their own wicked, fallen, and human
selves. They ignore and slight God s deity and supreme authority by deciding for themselves who
lives and who dies. Life is not theirs to take. Human life is sacred, it is so precious because
mankind is made in the image of God and bears His image here on earth.
Violation of the sanctity of human life is not only a recent or modern issue. It goes way back to
the dawn of creation with Adam and Eve s first generation. In Genesis 4:8 10 the Bibles tells of
Cain rising up against Abel, his brother, and killing him. Cain s initial sin wasn t murder.
The root of that sin was disobedience then jealousy and bitterness which was what led to the
murder of Abel. God most definitely did not take this sin lightly. He said in verse 10 ...the voice
of thy brother s blood crieth unto me from the ground . God was grieved at Abel s death and at the
disrespect of Cain taking God s matters, that is, life and death, into his own feeble and foolish
hands. Ultimately, sin starts in the heart. Just like Cain, people today

in the U.S. Mexico Border Region we are given an account how the border is braking economic
growth. While the U.S. Mexico border is a major milestone of one half trillion dollars, it has

St. Louis Narrative
Louie...Louie!! She shouted at him. His attention was elsewhere, and she knew every day
around this time she came second, but she couldn t help but call his name. Louie, answer me.
What? he barked as he finally turned towards her. As he loomed over her, standing at the foot of
their bed, buried in his cellphone, she got her first good look at him for the day. She took in his
ragged demeanor; his dirty worn out clothes too large for his scrawny frame. Through a tear in
his pants she could see a cut on his leg, no doubt attained by begging on the streets of St. Louis.
She never saw him do it anymore but there was no doubt in her mind that he had kept that habit,
among others. His disheveled black hair was covered by a grimy nondescript... Show more content

Outline of the Concept of Genetic Manipulation
The purpose of the report is to outline the concept of genetic manipulation, which is an all inclusive
term that describes the deliberate manipulation of the genetic material by biochemical techniques. It
is also referred to as genetic modification or genetic engineering. These are the terms for the process
of manipulating the genes, usually outside organisms natural reproductive process. It involves,
isolation, manipulation and reintroduction. In this report the type of genetic manipulations that will
be discussed are selective breeding in the plants in order to produce desired characteristics. The
case study that covers selective breeding in the report is on Red Fleshed Apple. On the other hand,
transgenesis in animals is the other type of genetic manipulation being covered which means taking
a genefrom one species and inserting it into another. The case study organism explaining
transgenesis in animals will be transgenic cow.

Digital Essay
Digital
The digital world of today can be understood as a product of late Victorian construction of the
machinery of information organization combined with Modernist visual forms.
The works of Lev Manovich and Dr. Simon Cook use a revisionist approach to examine the past
century and a half of visual forms. In his Late Victorian Reasoning and a Modern History of Vision,
Dr. Cook attempts to prove a link between the late Victorian visual forms and the new vision
(including Modernist art) that Manovich observed in the early half of the twentieth century. In his
work, Lev Manovich traces the relationship from new vision to the computer and new media,
claiming a direct connection between the two. Although it is ... Show more content on

However, the science of psychology had a very slow start and growth. In the nineteenth century,
psychology went through a fledging stage in which it attempted to ground itself in different
sciences, such as biology, physics, and philosophy (2). It was this initial experimentation with
psychology that led to the works produced in the late nineteenth century and early twentieth century
observed by Cook and Manovich. However, it was the growth of psychology departments in
universities and colleges that led to the visual forms used in the new media. Upon further
examination of psychology and the three visual forms, the importance of psychology in these fields
will become evident.
The late Victorian construction of the machineryof information organization included the works
of men like Lewis Carroll and John Venn, who attempted to create visual representations of
arguments, usually on the topic of logic. The link between these two men and psychology can
be easily observed upon examination of Mind, a quarterly publication that was established in
1876. In the first issue of Mind, George Robertson, the editor of the periodical and a Professor of
Philosophy of Mind and Logic in University College, London, states the purpose of the journal

message behind it.
To fully understand human resources recruitment, the hidden messages underlay it must be

Hidden messages of HR recruitment to organisations
A good recruitment plan includes programs for candidates to train, develop and stay in the
organisation. According to statistics in the United States where more than 51% of employees are
considering getting a new job (Gallup 2015), human resources turnover is an enormous cost to the
organisation, as the training and recruiting cost will pile up for new entrants to the vacant jobs.
Also, the high performance employee who left the organisation is likely to be hired by the

How Technology Has Become An Educational Tool
Technology has become an educational tool in schools and at home in the past ten years. There
are a variety of educational websites out there to support students from a young age as young as

supervision of a teacher or at home under the monitoring of a parent. Web sites at a young age
could help teach a child an essential skill and let them practice it that skill in an interactive way.
Web sites in the younger grades can contribute to making learningfun and interactive while

The five categories are letters, numbers, holiday, strategy, and skills. All the games within these
five categories seem to have a direct relationship with the curriculum content while making
learning fun. Also, all the games give the students an opportunity to engage in a higher level of
thinking and offer multiple games for the same topic to allow children to pick which game is
more comfortable for them to use. Also, ABCya.com could be easily accessed by a teacher or
students through the utilization of a computer, iPad, tablet, or even cell phone, which is more
accessible to them. ABCya.com also allows the teacher to create a class on the website and the
teacher could monitor what the class is learning and playing and keep track of the students

Biography Of Giovanni Boccaccio s Magnum Opus The...
There made its appearance that deadly pestilence, which, whether disseminated by the influences
of the celestial bodies, or sent upon us mortals by God in His just wrath by way of retribution for
our iniquities, had its origin some years before in the East, whence, after destroying an innumerable
multitude of living beings, it had propagated itself without respite from place to place, and so,
calamitously, had spread abroad into the West .
These are the lines from Giovanni Boccaccio s magnum opus The Decameron , which consists of
various tales narrated by seven young women and three young men seeking refuge in a secluded
villa outside Florence to escape from one of the greatest catastrophies in human history. The Black

Symbolism In William Jennings Bryan s The Wonderful...
During the late 1800 s, a pervasive sense of melancholy permeated throughout the forgotten, dreary
Midwestern United States. While the industrial revolution boosted the economy on the coasts,
Midwestern farmers were victims of deflationary debt increases, exorbitant shipping and railroad
rates, a high protective tariff, and a government that for the most part ignored them.1 Desperate
circumstances moved the everyday American farmers to join together and voice their grievances.
Instead of seeking federal aid or economic relief, they attempted to use the power of the ballot to
achieve their goals.1 The united group of farmers used the Populist Partyas a springboard to launch
their complaints and eventually got their candidate, William Jennings Bryan, nominated for the
presidential election of 1896 by the Democratic Party. L. Frank Baum, a newspaper writer who
lived in a small prairie town in South Dakota, experienced the populist wave firsthand, attending
Bryan s famous Cross of Gold speech in Chicago, and subtly incorporated many aspects of Bryan s
campaign into his children s novel, The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.2 Despite his own claim that this
novel was written solely for the entertainment of the children of today , several historians have
discovered that the book clearly reflects the culture of the time period in which it was written.3 By
symbolically representing the struggles of the everyday working man, Bryan s political enemies,
and the campaign for free silver, Baum

responsibilities that should not be neglected. No matter how small the complaints are, as a leader,
they are to take action and investigate the claim. If upper management does not take any action,
then who will? In Alex s case, he under planned the situation. In order to bring change in an
organization, there has to be well thought out planning. He must consider asking questions such as:
what is the trade offs between his loyalty to the department as well as the governor, and the public
interest? One must also look at the ethical perspective of if the is taking the right action or not. As
the commissioner of the public service department, it is his responsibility to reassure that the public
is receiving the most efficient, honest, fare service that could be provided through the department.
It is also his responsibility to make sure there is no malpractice within the organization. If anyone is
entitled to a right, than he needs to make sure that right is being provided. It is the ethical action to
take.
The way that Alex took action seemed to be under planned due to the lack of cognitive analysis on
the situation. He decided to make a call to a trusted colleague who was

Nonviolent Future By Michael Nagler

Our Families, and Our World by Michael Nagler. Nagler s (2004) Two Force Theory defines an

Nagler (2004) presents the Two Factor Theory through a definition provided by Gandhi. In this
perspective, violence tends to be based on punishment and the non violence is based on acts of
love. These two forces provide a framework for social conditioning and the socialization process
that can change a violent individual into a non violent peacemaker. Critically, Nagler (2004) does
not provide empirical evidence in relation to condition of the mind, but he does show the power of
leaders, such as Gandhi and martin Luther King Jr., to alter social beliefs through non violent
methods of bargaining/negotiations. More so, the historical track record of non violent negotiations
tends to be clear in the success tht Gandhi generated in uniting his country and bringing peace to the
Indian peoples. In this manner, the Two Force Theory provides an important way to understand
violence and non violence through social conditioning, socialization, and the negotiation process in

Theme Of Feminism In Anthem, By Ayn Rand
Anthem is Against Feminism
In the novel Anthem, by Ayn Rand, the theme of female inferiority is shown throughout the novel.
Rand has been known to portray women as obedient and submissive to men in most of her novels.
In Anthem Rand shows how women are inferior to men by; showing that a woman s highest priority
is to follow a man, that men can eliminate and redetermine a woman s identity, and that women are
only there to fit the needs of a man.
In the novel, Liberty begs to never be left behind while they are in the Uncharted Forest because
she cannot live without him. Rand s view on the responsibility of women in a society is that
women are a minority in the government. Rand shows the lack of importance of females in
government because, there were five members of the Council, three of the male gender and two of
the female (25 26). She shows that the opinions of women do not have as much value as the
opinion of a male. The inequality in government represents the imbalance in opportunities and
rights for women and the majority vote favoring the men takes away the voice of the women in
government. After Liberty and Equality run away to the Uncharted Forest, Liberty shows her
allegiance to Equality when she tells him: we have followed you... and we shall follow you
wherever you go. ... Do as you please with us but do not send us away from you (82 83). Liberty
promises her obedience that she will die with him if she needs to.
Rand creates the picture of a woman to sit at the feet of men and support their every need.
Equality renames Liberty two times; this is Rand s way of demonstrating man s dominance over
women. Someone s name is their identity, so him changing her name to what
he sees best is changing her into what he wants her to be. The first time he names her the Golden
One (41), and then again when they are in the forest, Gaea... the mother of a new kind of gods
(99). Equality shows that he has complete control over her and whatever he wants her name to be
is what she goes along with. When Equality sees Liberty for the first time he describes her hair
as; golden as the sun; their hair flew in the wind, shining and wild, as if it defied men to restrain it.
(39). It is ironic when Equality says that

Introduction
Domestic violence in the United States is a serious and grave social concern. Alarmingly, the rate
at which this very intimate violence occurs is increasing. The recent events concerning the
criminal trial of former football star O.J. Simpson have shed light upon domestic violence as a
national and social ill. The fate Nicole Brown Simpson endured is identical to that of thousands of
women who are caught within the vicious cycle of abuse and pay the ultimate price of death as a
result.
Domestic violence essentially affects everyone. It is not merely a personal or private problem
within families. With this idea in mind, just how horrifying are the facts about domestic violence?
According to the Bureau of Justice Statistics (US Department of Justice), a woman is beaten every
15 seconds somewhere in the United States. The FBI reports that domestic violence is the leading
cause of injury to women between 15 and 44 in the United States more than car accidents,
muggings, and rapes combined. Furthermore, the US Surgeon General recounts that battered
women are more likely to suffer miscarriages and to give birth to babies with low birth weights.
The Surgeon General s report also reveals that one in five women victimized by their

Unfamiliar Faces From The Front Door Essay
Unfamiliar faces coming in and out from the front door. Showing darkness that peaks through
when someone walks in. To my side, by the big, dark green soft pillow I lay on, a bucket with
watery colors; purple and green, sits inside, is set aside me. It s the junk candy mommy said to
eat, it s supposed to make me feel better. It didn t.
I don t recognize anything. I look around again and realize my parents aren t anywhere in sight.
Not much I could do. So I let my eyes fall shut.
My body feels like hot sand, yet I m freezing.
Tapping on the floor plays through my ear. The sound is coming closer. I open my eyes and see
me mom walking towards me.
How you feeling, honey girl? She said running her hand across my forehead.
Mommy I feel junk. I answered very softly.
Sorry hun, she looked down. I got more medicine... candy for you. She gets up leaving me alone
again. I hear rummaging in the other room she walked into. Then I see her walking back towards
me with the colored candy. She opens the bottle of green and purple, and just the whiff of it made
my tummy turn.
I sigh. I don t know how to tell her this isn t good, however she sees what was happening to me
when I take it. Does she not notice, or care?
She hands me two of the candy and I start to chew. A chalky bitter taste burst through my mouth
and I chug them down. I look up at her and give her a slight smile.
When I look up, I took in the details. She s looking older and alert. I see her sometimes, trying

1848 Women s Rights Convention Essay
Through out history, Americans have fought for the rights of freedom in their country, freedoms
that have been passed down through dozen s of generations. Freedom s such as religion, speech,
press, slavery and the right to vote. Americans, though very aware of their freedoms, often take
them for granted and forget the struggles that their ancestors went through to obtain them. One
example of this struggle is a woman s right to be treated and looked upon by the government as
equals. This was not an easy battle to win, and it took a strong few to begin to bring the struggle
that women had faced for centuries to an end.
The need for women s rights began back in colonial America where women were referred to as ...

Budget Transition
A Brief Historical Review of Budget Transitions
Given the size and intricacy of the federal government, transition planning is a formidable task. An
incoming president is responsible for making more than 4,000 appointments and managing an
organization with a budget of nearly $4 trillion and more than 2 million civilian employees
performing missions as diverse as national defense, education, preventing the spread of disease and
managing an energy infrastructure. Any candidate for the presidency must be ready to handle the
demands of leading a massive organization on day one.
The presidential budgetary transition can be broken down into 3 distinct phases; pre election
planning, post election transition and post inaugural handover. Each of these stages takes a
differing and increasingly in depth approach to the budget.

priorities and working on urgent issues, and conducting agency assessments to review the budget
that the incoming President has preordained with his Cabinet.
The complexity of the presidential transition process is simplified when it is broken down into
manageable work streams such as policy implementation, agency review, presidential appointments,
and operations.

Beowulf Is The Hero Of All Heroes
I m writing about ancient heroes and whether or not they can be heroes at the present day
time.im going to tell you about their pros as in good things about them and their cons as in bad
things. I will also choose one modern day hero to come pare my ancient hero to and tell you where
he from either a movie or a comic book.
Beowulf is my ancient hero. I chose Beowulf because of all the qualities he has. Beowulf is the
hero of all heroes he is strong, and courageous. He would risk his own life to save other people
life s. He never back down to any person or thing and has never run any from a fight. He throws
his self at danger to try to get rid of evil and look for people to help. In this day of age, I don t
think he would be a good hero for a few reasons. Reason number one I think he is really too
arrogant to throw his self at ever one problem thinking he is going to fix it. I personally think a
hero should be asking them if they want your help before they make it worst. Or they can wait
till they see someone in danger then throw yourself in the middle. Reason two I think he s
arrogant will be the death of him because he think so mighty of his self. He will think he is
unstoppable and that s where his demise will come from. Reason three he not that smart he more
like a jock most heroes are usually smart and clever Beowulf isn t if he meant an evenly match

Picking The Perfect Analytical Tool For Our Business
Picking the perfect analytical tool for our business can be a difficult task, tedious and expensive
business. We can even go for free administrations, for example, Google Analytics. The issue is
regularly that regarding the matter of value or administrations, there isn t much in the method for a
centre ground between the free administrations and the administrations that can cost you a large
number of dollars.
Many companies are complaining that there is huge amount of data and we don t have enough
number of analysts to analyze that data. The most imperative thing to recall when settling on a
choice is that while picking the right tool is vital, of far more prominent significance are the
people who will be getting the key bits of knowledge from the tools. Currently this is a huge
problem running in the industry. A regular situation is for sites to spend big amount on top of the
extent investigation just to have them make a huge number of reports and insights that they don t
have the assets to genuinely get it. Such sites would in all likelihood be ideally serviced by
running with a less expensive more constrained investigation choice that they do have the assets to

A Book Bum Rush The Page By Teri Ellen Cross
In the world we live in there are multiple definitions of what beauty is. However is it right to
deemed a certain skin color more beautiful than the other? In our history we are taught that being
a white complexion has many advantages, and that being a dark complexion is a shame.
Although that is history, in our world today believe it or not individuals are still subjected to
discrimination because of their skin color. In a book called Bum Rush The Page , a poem called
Complected written by Teri Ellen Cross, the author indicates the clear epidemic problem of racism
and identity that is occurring nationwide today.
The title of the poem Complected gives off a pessimistic tone. The word itself is not a real word, I
believe that the author got this title by piecing the word complexion and complicated together. The
two words completely define the racial discrimination dark complexion individuals encounter. Skin
complexion should not be a complicated matter anymore especially considering our history and all
the terrible acts that s been done. But yet today, our skin color seems to be the only thing that
identifies us, and not what we do or what we have achieved.
The author of the poem writes about two young girls and she is also comparing them as they
stand next to each other side by side. The main focus of the poem is the first girl she starts off
writing about, which is also the one that is not Venus ( line 10). This girl has a dark complexion,

Effects Of Expenditure On Terrorism
Expenditure on Terrorism
The money that has been spent by the United States to counter terrorism is over exaggerated and
does not reflect value for money. No one can dispute that terrorism is a unique kind of threat and
it is evil. However, the money spent in this area is exaggerated in both official mind and the
public. The risk of death from a terrorist attack in the United States today is very minimal. The
danger in itself is remote with a low probability of happening. For instance, since 1970, only 3305
United States citizens have been killed by terrorism. If 9/11 fatalities are deducted from this figure,
the number drops to 397. Therefore, the ratio of being killed by terrorism is 1:110,000,000. In
2010, 3841 people died from drowning, 32,999 in car accidents, 2791 from malnutrition, 38,369
from suicide and 29 from lighting (Sherry 3). In the same year, only four deaths from terrorism
were reported by the government. The cases of terrorism are of lone wolf variety which America
has faced for years. Therefore, what is needed is to come up with tactics for dealing with the same
old problem. The whole issue of ISIS threat is overhyped, and it is usually a tactic used by the
government to justify its expenditure on counterterrorism.
War on Terror Strategy
To fight and suppress terrorism the United States should abandon their traditional approaches. The
war is not a real war but a war of ideologies. To win this war, the United States has to stop excessive
use of military

New York and Los Angeles. Back then even airplane cost a lot. The amount that a Constellation
cost was between $685,000 to $720,000. Now a days that s 7 8 million dollars, and that s just
the cost of one Constellation. TWA and Pan Am got a deal from the Government when they
bought the airplanes. Well there is no clear evidence it can easily be seen why they were so
cheap. The Constellations weren t in great shape. They were a part of World War II, and most of
them probably had bullet holes in them, and were in bad shape.
Like I said earlier the Constellation had its ups and downs. It seemed to have served great

Working in IT for the last 10 years I have also had to deal with many of these policies first hand.
Additionally, I referenced the PowerPoints presented in class and The CISSP and CAP Prep

however will point out some of the more important points.
To begin with, any security professional must take in to account the three fundamentals of
principles of Confidentiality, Integrity, and Availability (CIA) that set the security posture for an
organizations information security department. Integrity ensures that unauthorized alteration to
information is not made, alterations are not made by unauthorized personnel, and the information is
reliable both internally and externally. Confidentiality unauthorized release of information,
regardless if the release is internally or externally. Availability for the users to be able to access the
data in a consistent and timely manner that will add value to their job is also necessary.
The process and choice of classifying information is very important. Data of different types have
different values to the owner of the information. Some data may be of more value or critical
importance than other data. Certain information is therefore valuable, and if lost could cause great
financial loss.
Total Layer IT will classify its information using the terms Public, Sensitive, Private, and
Confidential based on the information s value, age, useful life, and personal association. Based
upon the business needs certain groups will have access to these various levels of information.

Schools, school divisions, and even provinces had compared results in the past, but now the

Lecklider s study had school administrators observe the use of technology by staff and students,
and then categorize the technological use as either Type 1 or Type 2. The results showed that
technology use in the schools was significantly skewed to the use of Type 1 technology.
Lecklider states that, Type 1 use of technology was observed as a daily occurrence by 89% of
participants...only 22% of participants observed students using one or more Type 2 technologies
on a daily basis during school (Lecklider, 2009). In an age where the Type 2 technologies are in
the hands of our students outside of school, it is puzzling to see that those technologies are not
being used inside of the school. Many of the Type 2 technologies are present in the schools in
Saskatchewan and Canada, but it is unlikely that if the study were conducted here that the results
would be significantly different. The technology is present, but there seem to be barriers in place
that are preventing a transition from the educational practices of the past century to the ones of the
current century.
One way to ensure that this transition can happen is to consider technological integration as a
component of all the work we do in schools, including technology use that supports increased
student learning. The goal of embedding high levels of technology into instructional practice can be
met if all of the educational stakeholders

Refugees in the United States go through the struggles of not being able to communicate in an

Biography Of Baruch Spinoza s Theory Of Human Emotions,...
At the age of 20, Baruch Spinoza was banned from the Synagog, and from Amsterdam for his
radical believes. His masterpiece, The Ethics, can basically be considered as his guide for humans
to achieve absolute tranquility. His purpose is psychotherapy. It is his directory to living the right
way and being happy and content. He believes that in order to do so, one must truly understand the
nature of two major phenomenas. He, by breaking his book into five different parts, explains the
true and absolute nature of Godor Nature, and the human nature. And thus, by truly studying the
metaphysicsof things, one can use his therapy of the soul, which plays off of his theory of human
emotions, in order to be able to operate on the contents of his/her mind, and the emotions one
produces. In such a way, humans can finally find virtue and salvation.
The first step of the path to salvation, according to Spinoza, consists of humans changing the way
they understand God. To the author, God means something completely different than what humans
naturally believe. To Spinoza, God is Nature. God is everything. God is the one and only
substance, and everything else is merely an attribute or a modification of that substance. As
Spinoza says: God, or substance, consisting of infinite attributes, of which each expresses eternal
and infinite essentiality, necessarily exists . God is the ultimate reality outside of which nothing
can be or be conceived. As reported by Baruch: God s existence,

Bert (1998) explains that the best channel that any manufacturer should prioritize on is one that
makes the end product user happiest, so that they are always willing to buy again the same product
from the same channel member. So it s up to the manufacturer to select a marketing channel that
best serves the interests of the customer.
There are various criteria that are used by the manufacturers to evaluate potential intermediaries for
firm s distribution channel. Among this criteria include
1.Lot size
2.Waiting time
DISTRIBUTION CHANNEL
3.Spatial convenience
4.Product variety
5.Service backup
I will discuss each of the above criteria which should be used by the compact disc manufacturer to

Lot size: this refers to the number of units a typical customer is allowed to buy by a marketing
channel in a particular buying occasion. When the lot number is small, then grater output service
should be provided by the channel (Kotler, 2000). In our case above, if the compact disc player
manufacturer selects a channel member that offers small number of CD players to buying
customers, this means increased costs for the manufacturer, and an alternative channel member
should be sought.
Waiting time and delivery time: this refers to the length of time that the customer waits, for the
receipt of goods. Customers always prefer delivery

hierarchical structure evident in Foyle Food Group clearly defines employee s role within the
organisation and defines the nature of their relationship with other employees. It is a tall
organisation with narrow spans of control, which gets wider as you move down the structure. The
most important decisions in Foyle Food Group are taken by senior management. The hierarchical
structure in the organisation ensures that everyone has a clearly defined set of duties and
managers and the hierarchical environment encourages the use of specialist managers.
Employees in Foyle Food Group are very loyal to their department within the organisation. The
structure of Foyle Food Group provides motivation and opportunity for promotion and Kevin
Tyre said it is a great company to build up through the ranks. In Foyle Food Group, the senior
managers make up the board of directors and are responsible for establishing strategy and
overall business direction, whilst middle managers have responsibility for a specific function
such as finance or marketing. The supervisors in Foyle Food Group oversee the factory floor
operatives. It is very important, especially for Foyle Campise as they have to deal with raw meat,
it is important to section off the different sections to prevent any cross contamination. It would be
very serious if anything of this sort happened as customers could get very ill and lead to further
action taking against the business. So it is very important that the business organises the premises
properly in a way that this will not happen and also they will have to keep the premises
exceptionally clean. The positions that the employees get depend on

Critiquing Critique
In the evolution from student to scholar, the process of critiquing assists in not only personal
development, but also professionally in the evolution from student to scholar. According to
Cameron, Nairn and Higgins (2009), the art of critiquing documents provides insight into another
individuals thought process which broadens development (page 45, para. 2). From a personal
standpoint, receiving a critique has the ability to incite insecurity and negative emotions from
students; therefore, the ability to grow from ones mistakes. The objective of providing feedback
on a course of research is to provide advice that may enhance an individual s work. Therefore, a
students attitude towards receiving criticism and the method in which is it provided

How Educational And Cultural Environment Of A Subject Can...
Summary:
Prior research on professional scepticism focused mostly on the trait perspective .But this paper by
argues the mostly commonly held assumption that individual personality attributes are static. The
main focus of this paper is how educational and cultural environment of a subject can make a
difference in their personality variable self construal and therefore influence sceptical judgment.
There has not been any research done in this respect that involves Chinese accounting student in
China and Australia. Two countries with similar accounting standards but very different educational
systems. In order to challenge the assumption data was collected by using surveys from final year
accounting students in both countries. Then the data was examined using the experimental
research method (Ying and Patel, 2016) .And the results agreed with the hypothesis developed and
literature reviewed that Chinese students in China are more inter dependant on the self construal
variable which relates to the educational and cultural environment being an influence on it .Further
examinations have been done to provide empirical evidence regarding the influence of self
construal on skeptical judgments of an individual. The paper also addresses prior theoretical
limitations as well as mentions culture and educational influence has not been emphasized in the
original paper adequately. The findings draws the conclusion that accounting is not just about the
technical aspects .This paper also

Increase Student Achievement And Increase Teacher...
Abstract This topic brief is going to look at performance pay and if this type of program can be
used to increase student achievement and increase teacher accountability with maintaining a
positive culture. This is currently a hot topic in many states and there are states that are looking to
adopt this program and some states are dropping it. In some schools this type of program has
proven to raise student achievement, but people argue that although these schools have had
success, there is little evidence that shows that the results are sustainable for long term success.
Keywords: student achievement, merit pay, teacher accountability
Performance Pay Program I chose to focus on this topic because it is a topic that I have strong
feelings about when it comes to education. It is a topic that is highly debated in our country and is
a program that is said to fix the problem that some say we have in public education. In fact, we
see this topic being discussed by the President and Secretary of Education as they have instituted
the 4.3 billion dollar Race to the Top to enforce student achievement data into teacher evaluations
and help enforce the concept of pay for performance. In this paper, we are going to look at
performance pay and how we use student achievement to base a teacher s effectiveness and if it is
truly an effective way of helping increase our nation s educational success. The United States is
usually compared to other countries that

Most Dangerous Cult Research Paper
Did you know that America is home to come of the most dangerous cults in history? Cults began in
America as early as the 1930s, and they still exist today! By definition, a cult is any group which
employs mind control and deceptive recruiting techniques (How Cults Work). Although people may
know what a cult it, they may not know how potentially dangerous a cult is.
Cults can be evil and mind controlling. They can also be extremely dangerous. According to
Rick Ross, an expert consultant and intervention specialist, there are several signs of a
potentially unsafe group or leader. These signs include: absolute authoritarianism without
meaningful accountability; there is no legitimate reason to leave, former followers are always
wrong in leaving, negative or even evil; followers can never be good enough; and the group or
leader is the exclusive means of knowing the truth or receiving validation, no other process or
discovery is really acceptable or credible. Cult leaders use mind control to control their group. This
could be dangerous or life threatening. Leaders are ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)
Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) produces images of organs and structures inside the body
by using magnetic field and pulses of radiofrequency (RF) energy. An MRI machine consists of
two powerful magnets that generate strong magnetic field when electricity is passed through a
conductive field coil. Human body contains large amount of water molecules that are randomly
arranged. Upon entering the machine, the hydrogen nuclei of the water molecules align in one
direction. Then, a second RF pulse is applied in a series of quick pulses that cause the hydrogen
nuclei to be out of spin alignment. When the RF pulse is switched off, the hydrogen nuclei realign
themselves and relax by releasing RF signals, also known as free induction decay (FID) response

American Factfinder Case Study
Nestled quietly only an hour and a half train ride upstate from Manhattan is the Town of
Southeast. You may have heard the name from the esteemed Red Rooster, a 50 s themed drive
up burger and ice cream joint located right of NY 22 ( Historic Buildings | Brewster NY).
Otherwise, you may have heard of the (in)famous Kelly s Corner, where you will find some of the
best wings you have ever tasted, and occasionally, a Trump child after a long day of skiing at none
other than Thunder Ridge Ski Lodge (Buono, Jess. Trump Brothers Spotted in Brewster. ).
Conveniently situated around two train stations along the Harlem Line to Grand Central, the town
is a popular home for commuters. Over 50% of residents work outside of Putnam County, and
almost 20% of workers travel 60 minutes or more to their place of work. More than 1/3 of residents
are employees in the Management, Business, Science, and Arts, making it by far the largest
industry employing Town of Southeast residents ( American FactFinder. American FactFinder). The
mean income of Town of Southeast Residents being $114,000/year, with almost 50% of residents
earning incomes of over $100,000/year ( American FactFinder. American FactFinder), this town

The Debate Of Integrating Elements Of Orthodox Christian...
Orthodoxy, Orthopraxy, and Research Researchers face the challenge of integrating elements of
orthodox Christian theology and orthopraxy into the theoretical orientation of their research. To
maintain the integrity of the study, the research must exhaust ever effort to take themselves out of
the research, allowing the researchto speak for itself. Biblical exegesis can influences one s
research; a researcher should acknowledge their assumptions, taking steps to mitigate them from the
research.
Biblical Exegesis, Orthodoxy, Orthopraxy, and Research
One s level of biblical exegesis and interpretation influences one s believes and behaviors.
Woodbridge (2010) provides three elements of biblical exegesis: 1) the world of the writer, 2)
world of the original audience, 3) and the reader s perception of them. How individuals understand
these three aspects of a text shape their orthodoxy. Biblical exegesis is understanding what scripture
meant for the time and people that it was written to, once that is understood, individuals can make
application into the present world. One s orthodoxy does not always translate into orthopraxy;
individuals think they become an exception until their worldview changes (Mittwede, 2013).
Orthodoxy must become ones worldview in order to affect the orthopraxy of individuals. Biblical
exegesis makes the connections between orthodoxy and orthopraxy giving justification for both.
Orthodoxy without Biblical exegesis has no foundation except preferences

Death of a Salesman is a play written by Arthur Miller and first produced on stage in 1949. This

In the 1950 s society the dream had translated into personal wealth that was personal obtained
any failure to obtain such wealth was seen as a failure of the individual, not society. The
American Dream is a combination of beliefs a belief in the unity of family, healthiness of
competition in society and the need for success and money. In his play, Miller uses some of
these beliefs, which are connected. In that stage of history, America offered alternatives to the
European way of life and plenty of land, riches for all people and all of Americas people could
share in the wealth of the nation. In addition, another belief is the view that America is the great
land in which free opportunity for all exists. The Declaration of Independence states all men are
created equal, they are endowed by their creator with certain unalienable rights. Among these are
life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness . (July 4th 1776) In the 1950 s, Willy s character exposes
a man who shared many of the American peoples ideas of the time. These ideas have been summed
up by the phrase The
American Dream . This Dream is Willy s biggest betrayer and ultimate destroyer. Willy s
character believed that the American Dream of easy success and wealth could and would
completely come true and change his life or the life of Biff. However, neither Biff nor Willy

  • 2. Analysis Of The Movie Apocalypse Now Directed By Francis... An Apocalyptic Reality How would you picture Hell? Many people would probably describe Hell as a place where all you could see and feel is fire and brimstone. Life is not flippant and is not in our hands or under our authority to bring into or take out of existence. That alone is God s power and His authority. Mass shootings and terrorist attacks are an abomination to God because it shows people taking God s role and authority and applying it to their own wicked, fallen, and human selves. They ignore and slight God s deity and supreme authority by deciding for themselves who lives and who dies. Life is not theirs to take. Human life is sacred, it is so precious because mankind is made in the image of God and bears His image here on earth. Violation of the sanctity of human life is not only a recent or modern issue. It goes way back to the dawn of creation with Adam and Eve s first generation. In Genesis 4:8 10 the Bibles tells of Cain rising up against Abel, his brother, and killing him. Cain s initial sin wasn t murder. The root of that sin was disobedience then jealousy and bitterness which was what led to the murder of Abel. God most definitely did not take this sin lightly. He said in verse 10 ...the voice of thy brother s blood crieth unto me from the ground . While the industrial revolution boosted the economy on the coasts, Midwestern farmers were victims of deflationary debt increases, exorbitant shipping and railroad rates, a high protective tariff, and a government that for the most part ignored them.1 Desperate circumstances moved the everyday American farmers to join together and voice their grievances. Instead of seeking federal aid or economic relief, they attempted to use the power of the ballot to achieve their goals.1 The united group of farmers used the Populist Partyas a springboard to launch their complaints and eventually got their candidate, William Jennings Bryan, nominated for the presidential election of 1896 by the Democratic Party. L. Frank Baum, a newspaper writer who lived in a small prairie town in South Dakota, experienced the populist wave firsthand, attending Bryan s famous Cross of Gold speech in Chicago, and subtly incorporated many aspects of Bryan s campaign into his children s novel, The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.2 Despite his own claim that this novel was written solely for the entertainment of the children of today , several historians have discovered that the book clearly reflects the culture of the time period in which it was written.3 By symbolically representing the struggles of the everyday working man, Bryan s political enemies, and the campaign for free silver, Baum ... • 19. Theme Of Feminism In Anthem, By Ayn Rand Anthem is Against Feminism In the novel Anthem, by Ayn Rand, the theme of female inferiority is shown throughout the novel. Rand has been known to portray women as obedient and submissive to men in most of her novels. In Anthem Rand shows how women are inferior to men by; showing that a woman s highest priority is to follow a man, that men can eliminate and redetermine a woman s identity, and that women are only there to fit the needs of a man. In the novel, Liberty begs to never be left behind while they are in the Uncharted Forest because she cannot live without him. Rand s view on the responsibility of women in a society is that women are a minority in the government. Rand shows the lack of importance of females in government because, there were five members of the Council, three of the male gender and two of the female (25 26). She shows that the opinions of women do not have as much value as the opinion of a male. The inequality in government represents the imbalance in opportunities and rights for women and the majority vote favoring the men takes away the voice of the women in government. After Liberty and Equality run away to the Uncharted Forest, Liberty shows her allegiance to Equality when she tells him: we have followed you... and we shall follow you wherever you go. ... Do as you please with us but do not send us away from you (82 83). Liberty promises her obedience that she will die with him if she needs to. Rand creates the picture of a woman to sit at the feet of men and support their every need. Equality renames Liberty two times; this is Rand s way of demonstrating man s dominance over women. Someone s name is their identity, so him changing her name to what he sees best is changing her into what he wants her to be. The first time he names her the Golden One (41), and then again when they are in the forest, Gaea... the mother of a new kind of gods (99). Equality shows that he has complete control over her and whatever he wants her name to be is what she goes along with. When Equality sees Liberty for the first time he describes her hair as; golden as the sun; their hair flew in the wind, shining and wild, as if it defied men to restrain it. (39). Freedom s such as religion, speech, press, slavery and the right to vote. One example of this struggle is a woman s right to be treated and looked upon by the government as equals. I chose Beowulf because of all the qualities he has. Beowulf is the hero of all heroes he is strong, and courageous. He would risk his own life to save other people life s. He never back down to any person or thing and has never run any from a fight. He throws his self at danger to try to get rid of evil and look for people to help. In this day of age, I don t think he would be a good hero for a few reasons. Reason number one I think he is really too arrogant to throw his self at ever one problem thinking he is going to fix it. I personally think a hero should be asking them if they want your help before they make it worst. Or they can wait till they see someone in danger then throw yourself in the middle. Reason two I think he s arrogant will be the death of him because he think so mighty of his self. He will think he is unstoppable and that s where his demise will come from. • 28. A Book Bum Rush The Page By Teri Ellen Cross In the world we live in there are multiple definitions of what beauty is. However is it right to deemed a certain skin color more beautiful than the other? In our history we are taught that being a white complexion has many advantages, and that being a dark complexion is a shame. Although that is history, in our world today believe it or not individuals are still subjected to discrimination because of their skin color. In a book called Bum Rush The Page , a poem called Complected written by Teri Ellen Cross, the author indicates the clear epidemic problem of racism and identity that is occurring nationwide today. The title of the poem Complected gives off a pessimistic tone. The word itself is not a real word, I believe that the author got this title by piecing the word complexion and complicated together. The two words completely define the racial discrimination dark complexion individuals encounter. Skin complexion should not be a complicated matter anymore especially considering our history and all the terrible acts that s been done. But yet today, our skin color seems to be the only thing that identifies us, and not what we do or what we have achieved. The author of the poem writes about two young girls and she is also comparing them as they stand next to each other side by side. The main focus of the poem is the first girl she starts off writing about, which is also the one that is not Venus ( line 10). This girl has a dark complexion, we know this ... No one can dispute that terrorism is a unique kind of threat and it is evil. However, the money spent in this area is exaggerated in both official mind and the public. The risk of death from a terrorist attack in the United States today is very minimal. The danger in itself is remote with a low probability of happening. For instance, since 1970, only 3305 United States citizens have been killed by terrorism. If 9/11 fatalities are deducted from this figure, the number drops to 397. Therefore, the ratio of being killed by terrorism is 1:110,000,000. In 2010, 3841 people died from drowning, 32,999 in car accidents, 2791 from malnutrition, 38,369 from suicide and 29 from lighting (Sherry 3). In the same year, only four deaths from terrorism were reported by the government. The cases of terrorism are of lone wolf variety which America has faced for years. Therefore, what is needed is to come up with tactics for dealing with the same old problem. The whole issue of ISIS threat is overhyped, and it is usually a tactic used by the government to justify its expenditure on counterterrorism. His masterpiece, The Ethics, can basically be considered as his guide for humans to achieve absolute tranquility. His purpose is psychotherapy. It is his directory to living the right way and being happy and content. He believes that in order to do so, one must truly understand the nature of two major phenomenas. He, by breaking his book into five different parts, explains the true and absolute nature of Godor Nature, and the human nature. And thus, by truly studying the metaphysicsof things, one can use his therapy of the soul, which plays off of his theory of human emotions, in order to be able to operate on the contents of his/her mind, and the emotions one produces. In such a way, humans can finally find virtue and salvation. The first step of the path to salvation, according to Spinoza, consists of humans changing the way they understand God. This is currently a hot topic in many states and there are states that are looking to adopt this program and some states are dropping it. In some schools this type of program has proven to raise student achievement, but people argue that although these schools have had success, there is little evidence that shows that the results are sustainable for long term success. Keywords: student achievement, merit pay, teacher accountability Performance Pay Program I chose to focus on this topic because it is a topic that I have strong feelings about when it comes to education. An MRI machine consists of two powerful magnets that generate strong magnetic field when electricity is passed through a conductive field coil. Human body contains large amount of water molecules that are randomly arranged. Upon entering the machine, the hydrogen nuclei of the water molecules align in one direction. Then, a second RF pulse is applied in a series of quick pulses that cause the hydrogen nuclei to be out of spin alignment. Biblical exegesis can influences one s research; a researcher should acknowledge their assumptions, taking steps to mitigate them from the research. Biblical Exegesis, Orthodoxy, Orthopraxy, and Research One s level of biblical exegesis and interpretation influences one s believes and behaviors. Woodbridge (2010) provides three elements of biblical exegesis: 1) the world of the writer, 2) world of the original audience, 3) and the reader s perception of them. How individuals understand these three aspects of a text shape their orthodoxy. Biblical exegesis is understanding what scripture meant for the time and people that it was written to, once that is understood, individuals can make application into the present world. One s orthodoxy does not always translate into orthopraxy; individuals think they become an exception until their worldview changes (Mittwede, 2013).
