The document presents a new Gaussian Kernel-based Fuzzy C-Means Clustering algorithm (GKFCM) for image segmentation, aimed at improving accuracy in segmenting noisy images, particularly in medical applications like tumor detection. GKFCM extends the traditional fuzzy c-means algorithm by incorporating kernel methods and neighbor information to enhance noise insensitivity and detail preservation in image processing. The primary goal of this research is to provide better segmentation results for images with intensity inhomogeneity, thus offering significant advantages over existing methods.
