What do you consider are the most crucial attributes or impacts of sustainability and development to address, and how might you evaluate or measure these?  * Attributes: Pro-poor; Fostering grassroots innovations; Participatory and bottom up planning, implementation and monitoring; Collaborative (involvement of local stakeholders including local government, NGOs, local science and technology institutions); Adaptable; Affordable; Context-appropriate for local needs; Locally-accessible terminology * Evaluation and measurement: Quantitative data; Qualitative analysis (measuring patterns of adoption and adaptation); pro-poor cost benefit analysis Key Features of that Vision - Sustainability and Development Objectives Part 1: Where do we want to go?
Describe innovations (technical, social, organisational, etc), institutions, policies and practices that support the objectives chosen. Explain.   *Institutions: Local and national governments; Grassroots research centres; Education and training centres   * Policies and practices: local government commitment and coordination policy; incentivization;    *Innovations: mentoring network among innovators; a forum for national innovation dialogue Part 2: How do we get there?  Creating the Conditions

Constraints  Describe factors (innovations, institutions, policies or practices, social, political, cultural, etc) that constrain or detract from the success of sustainable innovations and practices described.
