2. Audience Profile
15-19 year olds may enjoy my type of games as people of this age may have been used to
playing computer games in their childhood growing up, when phone game apps weren’t
around, so it is more likely people of this age will understand how to play these kind of
games. Also, people of this age may own their own computer as computers were around
when they were younger, not phones, so they are likely to have old computers in the
house, etc.
People younger than 15 can still play these kind of games but it is less likely for them to be
playing computer games as they may be more used to playing games on their phones.
The game that I am creating hasn’t got aspects of it that proves that a gender may choose
to play more over the other gender. Overall, the game is a gender neutral game however
it can be more likely that boys will play this game more as it is still more common for men
to be spending their free time and focusing their interests in playing video games than it is
women. Therefor, my game may have a higher ratio of boys to girls.
3. Style sheet
These are samples of colors
that I am going to be
focusing on using when
creating my pre-production
to fit in with my jungle
theme. I will be using the
different shades of green to
create the leaves, grass and
plants and the brown colors
for the trees and
paths/ground platforms.
These are examples
of the type of
platforms I am
planning on
creating, including
the color theme of
them and also the
layout.
I like picture number 2 as I like how there is a
detailed background to the layout and the actual
platforms has lighter colors to make them clearer
and stand out. There are also challenges seen on
this part of the game like crossing the water and
spikes and this is similar to how I want my game
to turn out, with different challenges to
overcome

Collectables:
For my game, I am going to add in objects that
will be spread out across the platforms. Players
will be able to collect these and this could give
the character advantages. I like the idea of
adding in diamonds or something like colored
leaves as collectables (leaves to fit the jungle
theme)
I also am thinking about having a selection of 3
tools that will help the character get pst
challenges. For example, if there is a stone wall
blocking off the platform the player could select
the hammer or axe.

7. Contingency Planning
Potential Issue Solution
Becoming ill and unable to come into
college/study place to continue work
If you can, complete work at home. If you can’t,
plan out a time you are likely going to be back
in college and catch up on work (even if it’s
after your initial class time ends)
Not having a computer at home to finish off
work
Come to college in your spare time or on days
off to catch up
Lose hard-drive See if you can recover your work on your
mac/computer. Make sure you check if the hard
drive has been handed in, try remember last
time you used it
Running out of time to complete work Catch up on work in free time, set out a plan
where you give yourself a certain amount of
time to complete a section of your work.
8. Health and Safety
Potential Issue How will the issue be
avoided?
Looking at the screen too long and damaging
eyes
Make sure you give yourself small breaks to
give your eyes a rest, also wear glasses if
needed
Sitting down for too long so getting back,
shoulder, neck pains, etc.
Having small breaks every hour or so and going
for a walk to relief stiffness.
Making sure you are eating properly as being
hungry will make you tired and unable to focus
properly
Take breaks to have snacks and also a lunch
break (plan a routine out)
Editor's Notes
List age, gender, ABC1/C2DE etc (as appropriate).
Include images as appropriate to illustrate your target audience
Use https://yougov.co.uk/profileslite#/ for similar games to list audience desires/interests and how you will appeal to them through your game.
Explore colours and pixel art styles similar to what you want to produce. Discuss these elements in relation to why you chose them and where you may use them in your project. Go over as many pages as you need to.
Mock up of a potential design using the colours and sourced images. Alter this slide to make it appropriate for your planned product types. Use the content established in your style sheet to do this.
