Audience Profile
Male and Female – My game is a Snowboarding game and males and females have been
both known to have an interest in snowboards or winter sports. There is nothing in my
game that is leaning towards a gender but if I was to say a specific gender would be
more interested it would be males as there are only male characters in the game.
Primary age – (12 to 24). I have chosen this age to be my primary audience because
they are they age range that is most interested in snow sports and snowboarding as
they are fit and active at his age. Also this is the sort of age range that is mostly
interested in video games.
Secondary age – (25+) There are also a lot of other people that ride snowboards or
do winter sports and that I older people. They could have bee doing this type of
sport their whole life and be interested in it a lot. They don’t really play a lot of
games though as this age range normally has a full time job and does not have the
time.
Middle class – This game is free so it wont be a problem for those who are tight with
money. However you will need a smart phone or a computer to access this game so
it is not all free and the lower class might not have access to these things
Achiever – This game will have multiple levels to get through so they will enjoy
achieving top level.
Style sheet
This is the style of font I am going to be using. It looks really
ice because it has a nice bubble effect from all of the
shading that have been done and the little white polished
part on the top left of each letter. I chose a yellow font
because it will contrast really good with the white snow.
This character has a really nice cartoony look to it,
from the detail of the shading on his face and body.
The character is not to skinny nor to big. His head is
bigger that his body and quite square but I kind of like
that style and if done correctly it would look really
good with the whole snowboarding concept to the
game.
I really like the way the snow and the sky contrast
in the picture. It looks really good. The trees are
really detailed, which I do like, but I think that a
less detailed tree would suit the cartoony effect to
the game. Also I like how they have put snow on
top of the trees to make the whole place look a lot
more real.

Contingency Planning
Potential Issue Solution
My computer could shut it self down before I
get to save my work.
I can keep on saving my work every 15
minutes to make sure I don’t lose any work
which would waste a lot of time and possibly
set me behind deadline. Also I can set up
auto save on the computer.
I might not be able to find the fonts. Make sure that I have saved them onto the H
drive so I can access them straight away. This is
so I don’t lose time and become behind on
deadline.
I could be behind schedule. Make sure all my work is organised and if I need
to I will do work at home.
I could lose images. make sure that they are all saved to my H drive
so I wont loose them. This will help me not lose
any time so I don’t go behind schedule.
I might loose my work halfway through from
programme shutting down.
save it all to my USB stick as well as my H drive
just in case if I loose the USB I have a backup. If I
was to lose all of my work I would have to do it
all again and I would be behind schedule and
miss the deadline.
There might be some images that I need off
google but, google might not have any/I am not
typing the right thing in to find the images I am
looking for.
I can make my own images that I will need to
put in my work. It would look more original as
well and make my final product better.
Health and Safety
Potential Issue How will the issue be
avoided?
I could get eye strain from spending too much
time of the computer.
I can keep taking breaks after every 1 hour 30
minutes, to give my eyes a break.
I could get a head ache if I spend too long on
the computer.
I can keep taking breaks after every 1 hour 30
minutes, to give my eyes a break.
I could get repetitive stress injury if I spend to
long on the computers.
frequently keep on taking breaks.
I might have to go to the toilet for diarrhoea or
from feeling sick halfway through.
I can eat the right things before hand so I wont
have to go.
I could be sat in an uncommon posture and I
might start to ache a lot when I stand up.
I will make sure that I am not slouched on the
chair and my back is up right.
I could get strain in my legs and feet. I can rotate my ankles round under the desk
and I can also take frequent breaks.

Editor's Notes

  1. List age, gender, ABC1/C2DE etc (as appropriate). Include images as appropriate to illustrate your target audience Use https://yougov.co.uk/profileslite#/ for similar games to list audience desires/interests and how you will appeal to them through your game.
  2. Explore colours and pixel art styles similar to what you want to produce. Discuss these elements in relation to why you chose them and where you may use them in your project. Go over as many pages as you need to.
  3. Mock up of a potential design using the colours and sourced images. Alter this slide to make it appropriate for your planned product types. Use the content established in your style sheet to do this.
  4. Mock up of a potential design using the colours and sourced images. Alter this slide to make it appropriate for your planned product types. Use the content established in your style sheet to do this.
  5. What sound effects might you need for your animated screenshot? How could you make them?
