I ve never discriminated a book or a story. Even the ones that never make my heart
fully resonate to them. Still, I saw and understood their value. I simply knew they

unexpected. I ve read John Steinbeck short story The Chrysanthemums, and it left me

Chrysanthemums, I got the impression the author was trying to suppress the issue
by never addressing the subject openly. He made it feels like his purpose wasn t

9:30 in the morning and 3:00 in the afternoon. The child I observed was a 16 month
old female that I did have previously relations too. I use to work at Oakwood
Methodist as an Extended Care Teacher. I use to care for Baby M in the infantroom.
During the observationthere were two teachers, and 7 infants. The room that the
observation took place in had many toys such as: balls, bouncers, walkers, rattles,
and soft plush books. There was also a play mat where all the toys were, and two
rocking chairs in the room. During this observation I focused on 6 different
developmental domains. In my paper I am going to discuss perception, motor skills,
cognitive ability, communication/language, social skills, and emotions.
Perception is how the infant incorporates his/her 5 senses into what they are
exploring, and reacting too. During my observation Baby M reacted to sights,
sounds, and touching. According to the book haptic perception is perception of the
properties of an object using touch (Fogel, 2011. PG 152). Baby M placed the balls
and teethers directly in her mouth to get a better idea or perception of what the toy
was. Although she is at the age where she knew what each toy was she still explored
it using her mouth. Baby M also showed signs of auditory development by listening
to what the caregiver was saying to her and responding with positive emotions when

opinion. When it came time to look for colleges I was clueless. I had given little
thought to possible options other than local fallback schools. I immediately turned

hours, Officer Alvarado #0347 and I were dispatched to the front of 161 Columbia

I believed Harutyunyan may have been under the influence of an alcoholic beverage.

Myanmar timber camp Elephas maximus to perform the research, looking at the
records of 416 reproductive captive born mothers and their offspring. The elephants
used were from 8 regions of the Myanmar timber camps with the youngest breeding
being 5 years of age and the oldest being 53. The mean age at the first birth of
offspring was 19.48 years with the maximum number of lifetime calves being 10
calves. Hayward et al. discovered that individuals who didn t produce calves
before the age of 19 had lower calf survival than those who produced one or more
calves before the age of 19. Although beginning reproduction earlier in life is
correlated with a shorter lifespan, the cost is outweighed with higher annual
breeding success as well as increased calf survival (Hayward et al). The investment
of energy and resources into breeding at an early age increases the chance of calf
survival but also results in shorter lifespans compared to those who begin
reproduction later in life (Hayward et al.). Based on the findings, the costs of early
life reproduction are offset by higher lifetime breeding success in younger elephants.
