My Best Year At Paideia
This has been my most varied year at Paideia. I covered topics that I would ve
never expected. In fact rather than being handed project ideas I came up with a lot
of my own. I worked From humanism to cosmetic surgery, I ve really explored the
educational field.
This has been my best year in math. We started the year covering exponents, which
thoroughly enjoyed working with. The concept initially confused me but after
some practice and explanation I soaked it up. Another big part of math this year
was pre algebra. As with exponents, the concept was originally confusing but over
some time I understood it. I completed a lot of problems where I solved an equation
algebraically. I mainly completed these problems in two different ways using
elimination and substitution. After trying both ways I decided my favorite was
substitution. Even though elimination is quicker I believe substitution is more
versatile. In Beacon I predict there to be complex variations on math I ve already
learned or brand new fields of math. Whatever they throw at me, I look forward to
practicing and applying the concept to real life.
I really enjoyed all different elements of language we learned this year, especially the
short story portion. Tim would give all the students a prompt to write a short story
on, usually based on the one we read in class. The following day everyone would
present their stories, we would talk about the language, analyze the meaning, discuss

In a transitional setting, a university will have instructors who will lecture all
semester long and have you complete two tests; one mid term and a final exam. As
well as have a set time and place for the aforementioned lecture to take place. In
some universities attendance is not a requirement. They want you to pass the test in

Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (JROTC) First came to exist in 1916 as part
of the National Defense act. The Mission of JROTC is to motivate young people to
become better citizens and I know ever since I started JROTC that s just what I have
done.
Over the years JROTC has changed and evolved a lot over the years and i am proud
to say that i can be part of an organization like JROTC.
Before 1967 the amount of JROTC programs was limited to 1,200. The amount was
increased to 1,600 programs and in 1967 again it was increased to 3,500 units in the
year 1992 the limitation on the number of programs was removed from the law in
2001. The amount of Cadets that are required at minimum are three hundred in a
Battalion.
Women have served the United States Armysince 1775. They nursed the sick and
wounded, cleaned and fixed torn clothing, and cooked for the troops on military
bases.Campaign services did not exist in the Army until the 20th century. Women
were an invaluable but an essential part of the Army .Women continue to have a play

Through perseverance, dedication, and patience, isolated people can immediately
change transform themselves to fearless people who have no difficulty whatsoever
with communicating. This has been proven throughout the ages and in my family as
well. Whether you are the extreme loner at your school, or a jobless person willing
to sacrifice anything to receive a job, you can become intrepid conquering your
isolation issues. In my family, my mother used to be extremely shy among others
when she was in high school. She had a few friends, and, in addition to that, had
some case of social anxiety. Often ignored by others, she refused to give up.
Throughout time, she improved immensely and now has a multitudinous amount of
friends. Also, she currently has no social anxiety due to her conquering her fears of
social rejection. My mother now owns a successful business as a result of this
beneficial change. You can always change no matter what. All you need to do is act
efficiently and face your fears. You can help face your fears by taking extracurricular
activities such as band, choir, academic teams, volunteering, etc. Even Albert Einstein
played an instrument, the violin, while conducting his research on the relationship
between energy and mass. By having extracurricular activities, you can easily
communicate with others as extracurricular activities mostly require you to
