2. Health Insurance Affects A Person Health Care Act
For as long as I can remember it has always been essential for cars to be insured, but
not always has the human body required health insurance. This topic has always
sparked interest to me because us as human beings are far more worthy than cars, at
least I would say. So when President Obama passed the Affordable Health Care Act
in 2010, I was firmly in favor. Health insurancecovers cost of medical expenses and
surgical expenses for insured individuals. Which can only be helpful in any situation
versus harmful. Although, health insurance can be very costly it is worth it. Nothing
is more important than your health.

Health insurance helps individuals prevent preexisting health conditions from
worsen. An individual with an existing health condition and no health insurance
could face many problems. This could avoid them from working, it could flood them
with fiscal and financial burdens due to medical expenses. Having health insurance
is a major key to living because your health affects your quality of life.
Health Insurance has evolved tremendously since the first type of insurance plan
was developed in America. Accident insurance was the first type developed during
the civil war which covered people in accidents traveling by rail road or steamboat
during the Civil War. Short after accident insurance was offered, disability and
workers compensation was offered to pay for those who could not work, injured
during work, or diseases, but still excluded pay for medical expenses. So during
this time period which was the early 1800s to late 1900s anyone receiving health
care was expected to pay out of pocket for medical expenses. This was thought of as
the fee for service payment method.
Shortly after the Great Depression took place this placed a great burden on hospital
funding and patient s financial ability to afford health care. The first hospital
insurance plan was created
3. Holistic Medicine vs Modern Medicine
The debate of what type of medicine to use has been going on for hundreds of
years. What is better for us to use holistic remedies or conventional medicine?
What is safer for us to use? Most importantly what is going to work best to make us
better? Exploring each side to see how they are different and how they are the same
is the only way to answer these questions. Holistic and modern medicines are both
effective healing methods, choosing the right one for you or a combination of both is
the more difficult decision you will make. Holistic medicinehas been around for
about 2400 years and was widely used and accepted all over the world. Holistic
medicine originated in China and in India first and quickly spread to many other

Some medications can have more serious side effects and should be discussed with
your health care provider before taking any new medication. Depending on the
treatments you are getting whether it is medicine for an illness or pain or if you
are going for surgery of any kind there are always risks that go along with it. As
long as you take the medication as directed it is better for you. You can go for
physical therapy to workout muscle problems or nerve problems if necessary. As
with everything there are risks with every treatment you get or take but as long as
you are taking the medication as directed and follow the instructions for the other
treatments there is less of a risk of you having most of the worst side effects. The
benefits of holistic medicine are you get to research the root of the problem by
going through your diet, lifestyle, and habits to see what is causing the problems.
Holistic medicine is for you as a whole person because it tries to learn what will help
you, body and mind. If you keep getting sick with the same thing over and over then
you may need to change something in your diet and holistic medicine can help you
find what it is. Another benefit is that the treatments are all natural. When you get
medicine from a holistic doctor then you know that it was either made from an
animal, mineral, or herb which means it is safer than most other remedies. The
benefits of modern medicine are that you can
4. Metamorphosis Dilemma
Franz Kafka s The Metamorphosis dramatises the concept of alienation and the
conflict that arises with his employer after Gregor s metamorphosis renders him
unable to work. Gregor is the victim of a dispassionate corporate structure, and is
trapped in a job which engages only a minute portion of his personality (Robertson,
57). However, despite his bodily transformation, Gregor remains emotionally
dependent on his role within the capitalist system, rather than recoiling in horror at
the insect he has become: What a fate, to be condemned to work for a firm where
the smallest omission at once gave rise to the gravest suspicion! Were all
employees in a body nothing but scoundrels, was there not among them one single
loyal devoted man who...was so tormented by conscience...? (Kafka, 3) Gregor s
dilemma is that he serves the dual role as both a cog in a machine , and as his
family s source of income, and the despair and inconvenience of being trapped in
his room heightens his vulnerability as the chief clerk arrives to investigate the
suspicous circumstance (Kafka, 3). Imprisoned by his job and father s debts, Gregor
is invalidated by the business that defines him and alienated by the insect body that
has consumed him. The constraints of Gregor s metamorphosis, as his little legs

This has been a problem throughout history. The article Child Labour by Klaus
Rosmanitz talks about the beginning of the little pay, harsh conditions policy . He
states, Factory owners forced them [the children] to work long hours and they got
very little money for their work (Rosmanitz 1). This shows that, even at the
beginning of the forcing of children to work, bleak conditions and a small sum of

daunting tasks when it states, A young boy stitches together the leather pieces of a

8. How Does Chopin Present The Women In The Story Of An
Hour
Although Chopin wrote the piece The Story of an Hour during a time of patriarchal
societies set in the 1800 s, she explores the inner female mind through the use of her
feminine lens. During the story, the author walks through the events of Louise
Mallard. A family friend informs her of the death of her husband. The majority of the
story focuses on the complex emotions Louise feels throughout the hour. The story
ends with the arrival of Brently Mallard and the sudden death of Louise. By showing
the reader the true thoughts of opinion, Chopin utilizes, shows, connects the activities
of one womanto those of all women in similar situations.
In this piece, Chopin addresses women through the power of men in relationships.
In 1894, women held no power over their lives and relationship; they relied heavily
on the men in their lives to provide for the family. The death of Brently Mallard
introduced Louise to the freedom. Because he no longer is in control of the
household, she will now be able to experience life on her terms and live for herself.

11. Kinnaman s Analysis
Kinnaman s assessment of how Christians are perceived by non Christians should
motivate us to go back to the drawing board, analyze ourselves, and put a new plan of
action together. Christians should care what outsiders think about them because we
are Christ s ambassadors (Kinnaman, 2007). As noted by Kinnaman (2007), when
outsiders question our motives, it neutralizes their interest in Christianity(p. 69).
Christians should embody love, compassion, patience, forgiveness, and service,
among other things and if this is not the case, then, we are clearly misrepresenting the
love and the grace of the Father (Kinnaman, 2007). Therefore, we cannot stand aloof
from these negative perceptions and pretend there s nothing wrong.

14. Tax Policy in Nigeria
INTRODUCTION
A tax policies represent key resource allocator between the public and private sectors
in a country. It is usually imposed on individuals and entity that make up a country.
The funds provided by tax are used by the states to support certain state obligations
such as education systems, health care systems, pensions for the elderly,
unemployment benefits, and public transportation. A nation s taxsystem is often a
reflection of its communal values or the values of those in power. To create a system
of taxation, a nation must make choices regarding the distribution of the tax burden
who will pay taxes and how much they will pay and how the taxes collected will be
spent.

CHALLENGES OF THE DRAFT NATIONAL TAX POLICY
A thorough examination of the current national taxation policy reveal that it is
comprehensive when compared with earlier attempts at designing a policy.
However, there are some perceived challenges that this draft is likely going to face
because of the experiences of past taxation laws. These challenges are as follows:
Administrative Challenge. Experience has shown that the institutional capacity to
administer taxes effectively is woefully lacking in this country. Procedures, reinforced
by third party audits, appear to ensure that taxes are paid and received albeit with
potentially serious and costly internal lags. However, Nigeria lacks capacity to assess
the reasonableness of the returns submitted by taxpayers, including costs and staffing,
skills, pay scales, and other funding, and computer and Information Technology (IT)
infrastructure. Meanwhile the current draft has not put in place an administrative
strategy.
Compliance Challenges. A recurring problem with PIT Nigeria is the non compliance
of employers to register their employees and to remit

All these surgeries listed might not help with R.A. and may threaten the body during

Ibuprofen do help and are considered the top drug that is used to treat inflammation

16. Paradox Of Harris Todaro Model
The concept of migration has been a significant area of study in development
economics. In the past decade, developing nations witnessed immense migration in
their rural population to the urban areas in spite of rising levels of urban
unemployment. In this context, the Harris Todaro model becomes important. It
explains the paradox of rural urban migration and rising urban unemployment.
In the Harris Todaro model, it is assumed that there are only two sectors in the
economy a rural sector and formal urban sector. Here, the wages are assumed to be
fully flexible. The key idea is that the formal sector pays higher wages and it s these
higher wages that create unemployment in the sector. There exists a high wage rate
due to the following ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Secondly, urban sector is considered as the showcase of government policy.
Therefore, minimum wage laws, pension schemes, unemployment benefits and other
facilities are required by law.
Thirdly, firms in the urban sector may pay high wages purposely in order to attract
the best quality workers.
Differing from the urban sector, the rural sector has low wages that fluctuate
according to the demand and supply conditions. In the rural sector, there is no
unionization and the government policies are difficult to implement. Furthermore,
the bulk of labor is family labor which is unskilled, so there is little incentive for the
employers to pay higher wages.
Harris Todaro model signifies that migration is a result of the significant wage gap
that prevails between the two sectors. It is the differences in the expected income to
the actual earnings. Also, not everyone is absorbed into the urban sector. There is
great ambiguity of employment in the urban sector and migration is the result of the
choices workers make despite of the ambiguities.
The graph below explains the Harris Todaro equilibrium

The theory I believe that explains criminal behavior and delinquency the best would
be the Differential Reinforcement Theory, reviewed by Robert Burgess and Ronald
Akers after it was criticized by C.R. Jeffery. Burgess and Akers argued against
Sutherland s work by using what he had used already and adding operant conditioning
and modeling/condition in order to explain criminal behavior more clearly. They
offered seven propositions to summarize the Differential Reinforcement Theory,
which was a justification of Sutherland s none principles of differential association.
The following are the seven propositions, criminal behavior is learned according to
the principles of operant conditioning, criminal behavior is learned both in nonsocial
situations that are reinforcing or discriminative and through that social interaction in
which the behavior of other persons is reinforcing or discriminative for criminal
behavior, the principal part of the learning of criminal behavior occurs in those groups
which comprise the individual s major source of reinforcements. The first proposition
is very important to this theory. The fourth one states that, the learning of criminal
behavior, including specific techniques, attitudes, and avoidance procedures, is a
function of the effective and available reinforcers, and the existing reinforcement
contingencies. the fifth and sixth propositions are the specific class of behaviors
which are learned and their frequency of occurrence is a function of

21. Timothy Mcgrew Contradictions
In the first part of Dr. Timothy McGrew s discussion on the dependability of Acts
and Luke as an author, McGrew shows and proceeds to interact with the opposing
view held by Dr. Bart Ehrman. McGrew respectfully goes through each of Ehrman s
negative and misguided beliefs on the contradictions and errors Erhman believes there
to be in the book of Acts. Investigating the first apparent contradiction Acts 1:12 vs
Luke 24:50, Ehrman holds that Luke unreliably claims Jesusas ascending into heaven
on the same day that he rose from the dead and met with the disciples. However, he
asserts the opposite is stated in Acts and therefore portraying a different picture
where the resurrection, ascension, and the meeting of the disciples did not all occur
on the same day. McGrew reassesses each chapter and displays to the audience the
literal text, which does not show any signs of opposition when placed in regards to
each other. Merely, the text displays a writing style known as telescoping in which
events are misperceived as being in a time either more distant or more recent than the
reality. Thus being the case with the aforementioned contradiction where Jesus seems
to either relax in his activities or overload everything into a singular day.... Show

Each scripture Erhman boldly presents as an endeavour to establish his viewpoint
has most often shown to be grotesquely misinterpreted or seemingly under analyzed.
Such as seen in the instance of Acts 9:7 vs 22:9 where, when viewed in various Bible
versions, any likely contradictions of the verses wither away. The error more so
found in Erhman s failure to look at different translations before making his
assumption. McGrew, therefore, asserts that Bart Erhman can hold no merit to his
oppositions of Luke as an inaccurate and unreliable
22. Nine Months Research Paper
Nine months is all it takes to create every single human living on this planet . Nine
months and in that time you turn from something as small as a seed to a newborn
baby . During this whole cycle and amazing journey we are all made to be unique
and different from everybody else . There is only one you in this planet which has
characteristics that make you who you are. Some of these characteristics happen in
the womb which can affect your whole life. Situs inverses , Ectodermal dysplasia,

complete impact on one s life. Situs inversus is a reversal of organs in a humans

This disorder is caused by altered genes. Altered genes can be inherited or normal
genes can change over time. Someone cannot control what type of genes you get
and therefore you can t change who you turn out to be. According to the National
Foundation for Ectodermal Dysplasia, more than 180 different types of ectodermal
dysplasia exist. Sonic Hedgehog is a protein that plays a role in cell growth, cell
specialization, and shape of physical state. This protein is important in the
embryonic development. Sonic Hedgehog is also involved in a genetic condition
called polydactyly. Polydactyly can be passed down from family to family. This trait
involves a gene that can cause several variations like for example, an extra finger .
Having an extra finger can definitely add to something unique about you. In
conclusion, some of us are chosen to be born with something different from
everybody else. Good or bad it can only affect a few people. Whether it s inherited
or caused by your genes this feature gives us a sense of who we are. Not everyone
can say they have mirrored organs or an extra finger. Although we all go through the
same process to be made something along the way can have a huge impact on

Critically evaluate Lin, 2009. Is it true that an international student must learn a new

INTRODUCTION
Nowadays, there is a lot of scientist and professional who want to learn English to
benefit from its leading position of power in modern research and economy. Linn

A lot of academic readers may agree with him because writing in short paragraph will
make reading easier.
III Non Metaphorical Usage: almost all languages use metaphors to explain
meaning. Trujillo Seaz(2003), cited in Linn(2009) claimed that it might be used in
high levels in the UK media and the American business communication. On the other
hand, academic writers try not to use metaphors that much in their published
academic papers. According to Linn(2009) the Oriental, Semitic and Romance
/Russian do not make that difference in academic writing. People may argue that
probably it is better to make the published paper as easy as they could, so it will be
understandable for the majority of the readers. Others could argue that maybe the
paper was not published for the public to read or to understand it was published for
professional academic readers.

Individuals have a series of identities in which they exhibit depending on social cues
and what is expected from an individual s context. During Ellen Wilkinsons lecture,
From Blade Runner to Facebook: Exploring Identity , Erving Goffmans concept of a
backstage and a front stage identity in terms of private and public identitywas
introduced. His novel, The Presentation of Selfin Everyday Life, establishes the idea
that an individual s identity is a performance for their present audience. Goffman
states the back region tends to be defined as all places where the camera is not

25. Before I Got My Eye Put Out Figurative Language
What is the speaker really saying about sight? The poems, We Grow Accustomed
to the Dark and Before I Got My Eye Put Out written by Emily Dickinson, mainly
focus on sight. The first poem centers around this idea of being in a dark state. If
someone condemns themself to darkness they might not recognize the light and
good in the world. The second poem shows how the speaker is dealing with the loss
of her eyesight and possibly taking it for granted. In each poem the speaker shares
their own perspective on the world. Throughout the poems, Dickinson supports this
idea of sight using figurative language specifically metaphors. In these two poems
you will hear a variation of tones from the speakers.
In We Grow Accustomed to the Dark, the reader is calm and transitions from dark to
light. Lines 7 8 say Then fit our Vision to the Dark And... Show more content on

The speaker is trying to convey the struggle of being half blind. In this poem
Dickinson often displays possession. At one point she tells about her life before,
then she transitions to what she s missing after the loss of half of her eye sight.
Meanwhile, Dickinson makes claims on things she can not literally possess. An
example of this are lines 10 12 which say the meadows mine the mountains mine all
forests stintless stars . Throughout the poem you hear the speaker longing for her
sight. The reader comments explaining that sight is so precious and mentions in the
poem that if she could have her sight back, she would die.
After reading these two poems by Emily Dickinson, each definitely have their own
grasp on sight. Both have a unique way of interpreting this concept. The tone and
writing style of the speaker did help answer the question What is the speaker really
saying about sight? Therefore when deconstructing a poem, it s essential to pay
attention to detail and find the true meaning Dickinson was talking about and in this
case that was sight.

In the end, Silver developed a soul and returned Jane s love, thereby indicating that
Silver is now truly alive. He is a real human as he now has a soul. This is similar to
the time when Galatea comes to life, as she was then a real human.
One significant difference between the myth and the novel is that Pygmalion in the
novel is a girl instead of the novel, while Galatea is a male robot. Also, the male
dominant idea in the myth disappeared. Instead, the author mainly concentrates on
creating equal status between Jane and the robot. However, both texts valued love
and romance above all things. While other values such as family relationships are
less important. Language appearance is also an important idea in the novel. Silver
s appearance, is far above all man. For example as Jane s friend Egyptia said: Beauty,
acrobatics, tenderness, humor, prowess. It s ruined me for a man for weeks. Jane
fell in love with him because of his beauty and perfection. Therefore, appearance
plays a key role in the novel as well as the Pygmalion Myth.

Conflict Resolution in a Virtual Environment
The human mind is a unique filter and for this reason, every one of us thinks and
perceives situations in our own way. One crisis that might be diminutive in nature for
one person can be colossal in nature to another person. This dichotomy gives rise to
differences of opinions, and different opinions can lead to arguments. If arguments
are weighed purposefully and fairly in conflict, then resolutions can lead to a
meaningful outcome. However, if arguments are just for the sake of arguments, this
might lead to an undesired situation leading to conflicts among people. Conflicts

These emails turned into a workplace disagreement. The differences in opinion
caused the meeting to be rescheduled. The affect hindered our organizational
performance. In my conflict, we need to examine different reasons for conflicts.
According to research, latent conflict represents all of the potential sources of
conflict at the individual or group level (Baack, 2012, p.7.3). For example, the
source of the conflict between the team member and me was a difference in opinion
on how to organize the group assigned task. Again, not all conflicts are the same, and
for this reason, management should have a heightened awareness of the different
levels of conflicts in the workplace.
According to research, Resolving conflict cannot take place until the level has been
properly identified (Baack, 2012, p. 7.3). The four levels of conflict are intrapersonal
or intra psychic conflict, interpersonal conflict, intra group conflict, intergroup
conflict. In my situation, the level of conflict with the team member was an intra
group conflict. According to research, Intra group conflict refers to incidents between
members of a group. Disagreements about goals, methods of operation, and
leadership create intra group conflicts. When conflicts are not properly managed and
resolved, the end results can be poor decisions and ineffective group functioning
(Baack, 2012).
The source of the intra group conflict was task related. According to studies, task

Helpwriting.net ...
Traditional Data Centers have obsolete design catering to static workloads,
fragmented networks and server capacity limiting the dynamic allocation and
consolidation of capacity. Most Layer 2 networks use rapid spanning tree protocol
to eliminate possible loops by blocking redundant paths, but it results in wasted
capacity and oversubscribed network. Network fragmentation and VLANs are
used for traffic management, security, performance and broadcast isolation among
services belonging to different clients or tenants. For forwarding VLAN tagged
packets, each layer 2 device needs to be configured and each layer 3 subnet needs
to be mapped to one VLAN. In the data center infrastructure which is shared by
multiple tenants, the 4000 VLAN limit is no longer acceptable. Also migrating
workloads require network to be re configured which can consume resources and
be error prone. To respond to dynamic workloads and demands, network
administrators and operators must be to achieve high utilization of server and
network capacity, be able to assign workloads operating in single layer 2 network
to any server in any rack in the network, be able to move workloads without re
configuring the network. This is achieved by decoupling the workload s location
from its network address. Therefore, key design objectives for the modern data
centers are: Location independent addressing Scalable number of Layer2/layer 3
networks regardless of number of VLANS or underlying physical

Schools across the nation are eliminating programs that enhance creativity or even
discussions about the current world events. They all have an identical curriculum
and are set up to proceed one type of mind that processes information in one way.
Thus, high stakes testing pressures students to improve their performance. Lisa
Collier states, ... So many Michigan students stayed home when their assessment
tests were given last year that several high schools were threatened with loss of
accreditation. In Illinois, 200 students expressed their scorn for the state s exam by
showing up and deliberately giving the wrong answers. Critics feel the students are

At my high school, all students from 9 through 12 grade levels were required to take
the Regents exam authorized by the state of New York. If students did not pass the
Regents exam in June, their first time, and were forced to go to summer school and
take the Regents again, and if they did not pass the test again they were held back a
grade or they did not graduate with their class. Thus, it is hard to test students in this
way since no one was taught the same way all 12 years or learned the same exact
things. That s not all, before taking the Regent exam in June, we had 4 district
assessments each quarter. Higher amounts of testing will end up frustrating the
students and they will feel tired when taking state tests. Thus, high stakes testing is
profoundly a mistaken approach of evaluating student s

Have you ever laughed at the most inappropriate moment? In chapter 13 of Dracula
by Bram Stoker, Van Helsing laughs hysterically after Lucy s funeral. How did this
come about? Lucy was sleepwalking one night when her friend, Mina, finds her with
two puncture wounds on her neck. Lucy continues to have sleep disturbances and
becomes pale and weak, requiring several blood transfusions from each of three men
who have all asked Lucy to marry them: Arthur Holcomb, Quincey Morris, and Dr.
Seward. Dr. Seward s friend, Van Helsing cared for Lucy during her illness.
However, after a terrible night where a wolf s head came through her window in the
middle of the night, killing her mother of heart disease, Lucy is unable to be revived
and dies.
Lucy s Funeral
At the beginning of chapter 13, Dr. Seward is writing in his diary about Lucy s
funeral. Lucy and her mother are buried together after a small service. The most
striking thing about Lucy is how beautiful she looks. When the Professor bent over
and turned it gently back, we both started at the beauty before us. The tall wax

back to her in death, and the hours that had passed, instead of leaving traces of

In addition, it operates gasoline stations and manufacturing businesses such as special
food packaging, optical laboratories and meat processing. Costco is open only to its
members and offers three membership types for purchase: Business, Gold Star and
the Executive membership.
Investment Risk Factors
Costco has many risks associated with its financial and operational performance. One
of the biggest risks that Costco is facing todays is the competition from other retailers
and wholesalers, such as Wal Mart and Target. Costco compete with its competitors
for customers, qualified employees and management personnel, suitable sites and
suppliers. The retail business is extremely competitive and continues to get even more
completive. Such events as the evolution of retailing in online channels has improved
the ability of customers to compare prices and products and as a result enhanced
competition. Any significant increases of competition may adversely affect Costco s
financial performance, and make Costco incapable to compete successfully in the
future.
Majority of Costco warehouses is located in U.S. and Canada. Therefore, Costco s
financial and operational performance is highly dependent on U.S. and Canadian
operations. Within the U.S. it is highly dependent on its California operations, which
contained almost third of U.S. net sales. Any substantial decline in California
operations could

In this passage, Ruth L. Ozeki is portraying the theme of isolation, loneliness, and
death or suicide. The theme of death and suicide is apparent when Akiko wonders
what it would be like to be incapacitated like the girl. The word wonders connotes a
sense of desire and admiration as if to be deprived from strength is something
Akiko wants. Perhaps, Akiko wants to slip into a coma in order to escape from
pain and responsibilities. The use of the term slip gives the impression that being in
a state of coma is easily achieved. Moreover, the theme of isolation and loneliness
can be seen through the fact that no one knows about her illness. Akiko is

Silko uses similes to portray the value of the mountain lion. The mountain lion s
motion were like the shimmering of tall grass in the wind. Comparing the mountain
lion to the imagery of shimmering tall grass in the wind portrays a magical and
ethereal like scene. The imagery gives the impression that there is beauty and value
found in something fundamental. Moreover, the theme of transformation is evident
through the mountain lions relentless motions. The mountain lion changes dark as
lava rocks, and suddenly as bright as a field of snow. The dark as lava rocks indicates
fear, confusion, and overall negativity. On the other hand, bright as a field of snow
signifies clarity, rebirth, and cleansing. The motions of the mountain lion is parallel

are interconnected and there are parallels. The theme of transformation is crucial as it

35. Essay Heavy Metal in the 1980s
Heavy metal in the 1980 s is hard to describe. Its static style did not change much
from the 1970 s, but the lyrics, image, and theatrics took a step forward. Heavy
metal had a huge impact in the 1980 s and there were many successful bands.
Van Halen took heavy metal to new heights. After more than two decades of playing
sold out concert halls, selling millions of albums and enduring various lineup
changes and solo projects, Van Halen is recognized as one of the most resilient and
successful rock bands to emerge from the 1970s and continue into the 1980 s. Eddie

All was not well within the band, however. Rising tensions between Roth and the
other band members were increasingly evident; on their 1984 world tour the band
didn t even play on the same stage, but rather performed on four separate platforms,
symbolic of the escalating rift among its members. Finally, in 1985, after taking time
off to record a successful solo album (and delaying work on the follow up to 1984)
Roth parted ways with Van Halen. This group proved to be the starting point of heavy
metal, starting out in the 1970 s and continuing through the first half of the 1990 s.
After groups paved the way for heavy metal, one band can be the representative of
the heavy metal style in the 1980 s. Metallica was formed on October 15, 1981 by
James Hetfield and Lars Ulrich. Lars played the drums while James was on vocals
and guitar. Kirk Hammett joined the band in 1982 and became the band s lead
guitarist. Metallica s bass player was Jason Newsted, after their first bassist, Cliff
Murton, was killed in a bus crash. It was on March fourteenth that Metallica played
their first gig at radio city Anaheim in California. On June fourteenth the Metal
Massacre LP was released and it was Metallica s first appearance on an official
record. The first release of the LP contained a few mistakes including band s name
being miss spelt Mettallica and Lloyd grants name being misspelled as Loydd Grant.

cadenza for horn soloist. Horn players have to make cadenza by themselves.
Second movement of this horn concerto is a Romance in Ab Major. This form is a
ternary form. Mozart puts horn and orchestra together to play this melody. Mozart
used two themes and some melodic link to connect all movement. The first four
measures of the beginning showed up two times in this movement. This third
movement is a rondo form. The sections of this movement are ABACA. A section
repeated three times. Mozart putted codetta in the last section. And he used the
continuing triple notes to make this piece more excited. At the same time, the theme
of this movement sounds like Mozart s piano concerto No.22. Even these two pieces
do not have the exactly same melody, but still can figured out the similar theme
between these two pieces.
This is interesting evidence about Mozart s four concertos. His first movements of his
concerti are sonata form and third movements are rondo. Because Mozart s first horn
concerto is an incomplete piece, his second movement of this piece is a rondo. In the
other hand, this movement originally was a third movement. In his three concerti
(without first horn concerto), his second movements basically are romance. However,
in No.2 horn concerto, Mozart only wrote Andante for second movement. Even

The price of the new medical device, BrightMatter, at Henry Ford Hospital is
extremely expensive. The cost of the device is over one million dollars, and does

that organizations establish a strategy that will sustain a profit. When considering
costs, organizations need to know what it can afford to pay, while taking into
account the prices the market allows, as well as allowing a profit. According to the

40. Treating Arthritis
Arthritis is the general term for the group of conditions that damage the joints and
result in pain and stiffness in one or more of the body s joints. The most common
forms are Osteoarthritis (brittle cartilage), Rheumatoid Arthritis (where the body s
immune system attacks the joints), Gout (Created by a build up of Uric Acid) and
Ankylosing Spondylitis (Pain and stiffness in the lower part of the spine). There are
many methods for treating arthritis which may include Exercise Physiology,
Phisiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Chiropractics, Acupuncture, Osteopathy,
Naturopathy, Exercise and Medication. A growing number of Arthritis sufferers are
turning to natural vitamin supplements as a preferred treatment method.
Glucosamine, Chondroitin and Omega 3 Fish Oil all have substantial evidence to
show their benefit in the treatment of Arthritis. MSM, Curcumin and Ginger also
have minimal substantiated evidence.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

improve joint mobility and pain at a dosage of 450mg of fish oil per day. Research
suggests that at 1500mg of MSM a day, this natural source of sulphur may have anti
inflammatory effects. Curcumin (found in the Turmeric herb) is said to have
significant anti inflammatory effects when 6g of the Turmeric herb is taken per day
over a course of three months. Concentrated ginger extract has been shown by one
study to reduce knee pain in arthritis sufferers. Rosehip extract is also suggested to
help reduce pain and stiffness in sufferers of Arthritis. Whilst all of these nutrients

circumstances substitute qualified medical advice with information found in this
41. The Distribution Of The Studio System
After the breakdown of the studio system the leading film companies started to buy
each other on a conglomorate scale in order to increase their quality and income
during the production or distribution of the film. Conglomorate ownership has been
in the business for very long time and has shaped the industry. Most companies in
hollywood are economically driven rathern than artisticly driven, therefore whilst
making films it is in the company s best interest to make more money. For the better
understanding of the issua it is important to look at the history of the conglomoration
throughout the film history and then to use a case study for futher more detailed
research. Marvel Cinematic Univerves can serve as a great case study to... Show more

Media conglomerates strive for policies that facilitate their control of the markets
around the world. As a result film in United States has developed as a commercial
pursuit, where profit maximization is the centra target. Conglomoration extends
beyond the ratings and inculudes its value syndication to owned and operated
stations and cable outlets. Futhermore, in 1915 the Supreme Court of the United
States argued that the Exhibition of moving pictures is a business, pure and simple,
originated and conducted for a profit like other spectacles. Companies such as
Disney, who is the owner of the Marvel heroes nowadays, is one of the most
aggressive in the production of content, which can be packeged, then repacakaged,
and distributed in various corporate sectors to generate revenue. Disney have bought
diversity of mass media productions, including film studios, independet film studios,
television channels, parks and resorts, etc. The media in theory forms a marketplace
for ideas who ones who dominates this marketpalce extend its control and ownershio
of conglomerates, which provides them with an unprecedented degree of potential
control over the range and direction of cultural production. The market for film
expanded to a dramatic degree over the last quarter centuary, thanks in large part to
the evolution of commercial television outlets around the world. Motion pictures

42. James Joyce s Araby And John Updike s A P
James Joyce s Araby and John Updike s A P are two stories which, in spite of their
many differences, share many similarities in their endings. The primary focus of both
of these initiation stories revolves around adolescent protagonists who come into
conflict with their unrealistic expectations of women and their societies. Although the
boys use different approaches in pursuit of their ideal, both narrators face a radical
shift in their attitudes as they transit into adulthood.
The protagonists in both stories are ultimately faced with the harsh and shattering
reality that the girls have no desire for their company. In Araby , the young boyaims
to impress his friend s older sister by going to the bazaar and buying her something.
However, when he visits one of the bazaar s stalls, the owner who is an English
woman seemed to have spoken to [him] out of a sense of duty (45). Realizing that
in the eye of Mangan s sister, he is just the little brother s friend whose chivalrous
actions go unnoticed, he leaves without buying anything. Similarly, Sammy in A P
tries to win the attention of the three girls by saying I quit (92) after the store
manager rebukes the girls for their indecent dress. The girls, however, ignore Sammy
s heroic gesture and leave the store. Failing to win the heart or attention of their
respective love interest despite their best efforts, each character experiences great
despair at the end of the story.
The teenagers also find themselves in
43. The Crime Of State Crimes
State Crimes are defined as acts that are largely committed, instigated or condoned
by governments and their officials (International State Crime initiative). These
crimes are considered to be very serious crimes in society today, due to the fact that
they are either committed or condoned by governmental personnel with the aim of
achieving certain goals. Having said that, scholars today do not have the
knowledge of how important these crimes are since it violate international and
criminal law within that state. Eugene McLaughlin identified four categories of
state crime; Political crimes, crimes by security, economic crimes and social and
cultural crimes. However, I will focus on the two that are more widely
acknowledged Political crime is corruption and censorship, a state has the right to
label a behaviour as political crime if it s seen as a threat to the state. Crime by
security has to do with genocide and torture, a great example of crime by security is
the RwandaGenocide that occurred in 1994 which ended up killing 800,000 citizens
in just a few weeks. According to Grabosky and Stohl (2010), state crimes can be
divided into six main types; State terror against another state, state terror against
private interests, State facilitation of another state s terrorism, state terror against its
own citizens, state facilitation of private actors and political terror scale. In this
essay, I will be mainly concentrating on the Rwanda Genocide, Libyan civil war of
2011 and
44. The Journey Of Sacagawea
Throughout the course of American history, there are many men who have helped
shape the United States. However, there are very few women who have also helped
shape the United States. Sacagawea was one of those women. When President
Thomas Jefferson tasked Lewis and Clark to lead an expedition into the west, it was
Sacagaweathat contributed the most to their mission. Without her contributions,
expansion throughout America would have been much more difficult. Sacagawea
provided invaluable help to Lewis and Clark s expedition by using her knowledge
of the land and local tribes to guide them through safer routes, find food, and help
them communicate with other Native Americans. In order to better to understand
Sacagawea s impact and legacy, learning about her beginning are crucial. Before
Sacagawea met Lewis and Clark she went through some adversity. She was born in
1786 with the name Boinaiv as a member of the Shoshonetribe which is around
present day Idaho. During her teen years, around the year 1800, she traveled east
with her family through the Rockies towards the Three Forks area of the Missouri
River. However, while they were... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
No other American woman in history has had more statues made in her honor than
Sacagawea and for good cause. She was both a vital and crucial part of Lewis and

through the west. Even though many people today just see her as a guide , she was
much more than that. Despite going through the separation from her tribe, being
sold as a child, sickness, and having to raise a son, she still made huge
contributions to Lewis and Clark s expedition. Her bravery, knowledge of the land,
and skills as an interpreter all contributed greatly to the success of the expedition.
Without her help, who knows if Lewis and Clark would have ever completed their

Friday. Their 3rd person understood the urgency and said I will try to reach Katie
but if I can t I will come and get her. Not 2 minutes had gone by when mom called
in a panic and was on her way. How did the friend get through to her only 2 minutes
after I had just left a voicemail? I have no doubt they both screen our calls. This
has happened too many times and now that it involves Kyrie s health and well

46. WalkerВґs Cycle of Violence
They way that current law reads in the use of the self defense claim is a person
must be in complete fear of death or bodily injury and the only way to avoid such
death or injury is to resort to the use of deadly force for self defense. Many women
have been sexually abused with the average being around the 60% mark (Ewing,
1990). There are three stages to the Walker s cycle of violence and they are the
tension building stage, acute battering incident stage and the loving contrition stage
(Ewing, 1990). The first stage is one mostly of verbal abuse accompanied by some
small physical abusewith the woman trying to keep the batter less angry. The next
stage is one of tension that escalates and severe abuse takes place. The third stage
is one of remorse by the batterer and assures the woman that the abuse will not
happen again. Unfortunately in most abusive relationships the abuse does happen
again and with each new event the abuse is more hostile and severe than the prior
events (Ewing, 1990). Learned helplessness is where a victim feels as if they have
no control over a situation with no escape or way out of it. This applies to Battered
Woman Syndrome because the learned stimuli of not being able to control the abuse
makes them believe that they can do nothing to stop it so they lose their motivation
to try and stop the abuse (Ewing, 1990). There are many factors that keep a woman
in an abuse relationship and vary by specific cases. Some things that can hamper their
ability
47. The Growth Of Population Growth Essay
The present rate of population growth is one of the most significant environmental
issues we as humans are facing. The exponential growth at which the population is
moving is having direct impacts on climate, energy, poverty, food, the global
economy, and politics (Why Population Matters). The world populationis currently
7.3 billion people and there is growing doubt that the planet is able to sustain
human needs and resource consumption (Population Concern). The expansion of
human population is impacting countries, societies, and cultures around the world
differently. These differences can occur due to, environmental, political, and
societal factors that can determine the severity of the issue and how the country
decides to respond. The population is growing at exponential rates and can be
expressed by calculating the double time, which is the number of years it takes for
population size to double (Harper, Chapter 5). For developed countries, the
calculated double time is longer than that of a developing country (Harper, Chapter
5). The first case study under analysis is that of Rwanda, one of the poorest nations
in the world, which therefore has one of the lowest double time growths (Harper,
Chapter 5). Food scarcity and violence are the stories of Rwanda s fate and is
outlined in Jared Diamond s book, Collapse . The second case study being examined
is China s human population growth, which is not only negatively impacting its own
country, but impacting others at a

ALLOTMENT
Oklahoma Organic Act
The Oklahoma Organic Act (a series of legislative acts) was passed on May 2,
1890. This officially created Oklahoma Territory, which at the time excluded the
lands occupied by the Five Civilized Tribes. This created an issue and caused a
reorganization that allowed the combination for Oklahoma Territory with Indian
Territory.15 Section 29 of the Organic Act stated, that part of the United States which
is bounded on the north by the state of Kansas, on the east by the states of Arkansas
and Missouri, on the south by the state of Texas, and on the west and north by the
Territory of Oklahoma . . . shall be known as the Indian Territory. United States courts
were to assume jurisdiction over civil cases other than those with tribal jurisdiction.
Finally, the act gave attention to Indian citizenship, stating that any member of any
Indian tribe or nation residing in the Indian Territory could apply to the United States
court to become a citizen of the United States . The implementation of the Oklahoma
Organic Act set the stage for Oklahoma Statehood.

When I was around twelve years old I was outside swimming having a blast just
being a kid when my mother comes outside to tell me that we need to go shopping.
Thinking nothing about it, I get out of the pool, dry off, and change, as we headed
for the store, she told me we are out to buy bras for me. Petrified, I told her I didn t
want to go, but we had to because as she said I was starting to develop. While at the
store I was in a silent fit of anger and embarrassment, this can t be happening is all I

New Beginning Early Childhood Learning Center Mission Statement
Our mission for New Beginning Learning Center is to enable our students to be
involved in their surrounding, socialize with peers and learn to precise themselves.
The mission gives a clear understanding that shows children how to create things by
using what they have in their surrounding in a certain technique. The children will
be allowed to use things that are not make believe, which will enable them to
understand these things do occur in real life situations. Socializing with other
people will be difficult for some children but will allow them to do it at their own
pace. The teachers will provide positive role models for the children so they will do
the same. We will also provide a welcoming and safe environment for anyone who
visits our learning center. Our parents will visit our learning centers whenever
possible and there will be an open door policy. We will keep track of all the students
progress through antcedol notes, teaching strategies, assessments and other learning
tools. By keeping track of these things we can help the students to reach their learning
goals. According to () This includes providing multiple, frequent opportunities for two
way dialogue, taking advantage of daily communication opportunities, using your

52. Ethics And Morality Of College Age Students
Abstract
The topic of ethics and morality in college age students (18 23) has been explored
for some time. Many different researchers have come up with different findings. I
have conducted research myself on the exploration of this topic. Four participants of
college age students were interviewed about the given topic. Three participants of
the older generation (at least 15 years older than college age students) were also
given a similar interview. The two groups showed some differences in their thought
process when answering the questions. The college age students made their ethical
decisions based off of how they felt. The older generation made decisions because the
actions themselves were morally and ethically correct.

The understanding of morality considers psychological development. A person s
ability to differentiate between right and wrong is connected to their age. Because of
this, ethics and morality involve emotions that reflect in the feeling of guilt or
empathy. Besides, social cognitive process determines an individual s actions. In
addition to this, media content promotes immorality by glorifying immoral behavior.
In summary, immorality is personal and dependent on taste according to the young
adults who are encouraged by immoral media content. This paper explains different
attitudes about ethics and morality in millenials as well as in the older generation. It
also looks at the role that the media plays in young adults and their views about
morality.
There were numerous articles that were researched and considered before the
formulation of this paper. One of the articles is titled Today s College Students
Lack Empathy . In this article, Jeanna Bryner talked about the findings of 14,000
American students. The research from this article showed that today s college
students are not as likely to get the emotions of others. This was in comparison to
their counterparts from 20 and 30 years ago. This lead to the conclusion that today s
college students have less empathy. Things such as a lot of exposure to media, and
the rise in social media were attributed for this lack of empathy. An example of this is
violent games that promote killing others cause people to be numb to
53. The Importance Of Foreign Policy In The United States
Foreign Policy is an issue that affects most, if not all, of the people in the United
States of America today. Foreign policy, for us, mainly consists of three things in our
country. We work with our allies, we help those who share the same values that we
hold dear to us, and we fight against terror, tyranny, and hatred among other countries,
and even internally within our own. Many people have different ideas of what
foreign policyis, but many can agree about the three listed above. Although, many
can also agree that our ideology and our actions can be very separate from each
other. Sometimes we say we do one thing, and do another thing that can be the polar
opposite from the 3 values listed above,

Americans have the right to vote on laws that pertain to any aspect of our country
s well being and decisions. We as voters should be making the best decisions we
can to make our country the best it can be and pave the superior path for our
children, because this issue affects them just as much, if not more, than it affects
us. Foreign policy decisions often have long lasting consequences. Even more
often, the people making those decisions won t live long enough to experience the
full effects of them. We most likely will. We will have to pay in the future for the
decisions being made today.. We are already paying through taxes for the actions
of generations before us. The costs of the war in Iraq is a big factor in our national
debt, and national debt and interest payments are rapidly increasing because of this
war and many others we take part in. The consequences for these decisions are also
hard to reverse, and our children will probably be suffering still from the decisions

That night, Andre stayed with a Loyalist attorney named Joshua Smith. While not
permitted to wear civilian attire, he got clothes and road horseback with Smith

the trip and when Andre was close to his destination three men stopped him. These
men questioned Andre and instead of showing his pass that he was John Anderson,
Andre trusted the men and revealed who he really was. The men, who Andre thought

It has been said that Arnold should have been the captured and killed instead of
Andre. Major Andre made multiple impacts on the US National Defense. While the
mission he set out to complete failed, Andre broke down the safety net the US
thought they had. By gaining the trust of Arnold and setting up the plan to take
over West Point, Andre was the hole in what was set to be a perfect American plot.
If he did not get caught the outcome for the war would have been a different scene.
The Americans thought they had a fool proof plan when in reality they had one of
the biggest traitors history has ever seen in Benedict Arnold. For Andre to get Peggy
on board to help with getting Arnold on board took time and patience. The plan
would have worked fully if the ship, Vulture, would not have been moved
downstream after Andre got the information from Arnold. This whole incident made
the Americans realize that there could be more spies among them, and therefore
Washington had Andre executed, to set an example for future spies. The second
impact on US National Defense deals with the classification system that we use in the
Army and surrounding agencies today. Information like the plans and layouts for a
military installation would be classified secret or top secret today. Unfortunately, in
the 1700s, there was no system of classifying documents. This could have been a
deterrent in an incident like
