1. All fontstakenfromthe website dafont.com
The first font I
experimented
with for my band
name and album
title was “Bad
Signal”. I really,
really like the way
it looks, especially
on the band
name, Hazmat
Cat, as I think it’s
jagged, fractured
and wild look
clearly conveys
that the genre is
indie rock.
2. I alsothinkthat thissecondexperimental font,
“Urban Jungle”,worksreallynicelywithmy
bandname andalbumname,althoughnot
quite asbrilliantlyasthe first.Ithinkitwouldbe
goodto use for the albumname because of its
urban look,whichthencontrastswiththe title
of the album“The UnweededGarden”,showing
that Hazmat Cat are self-awareandable to
make satirical andintelligentobservations
aboutsocietythroughtheirmusic,muchlike
Oasis.
3. The third and final experimental font, “CF Anarchy”, also works really nicely for the band name,
because itreflectstheirmessy,“don’treallycare”attitude, makingthe decisionof which font to use
really quite difficult!
After a lot of thought, I have decided that I’ll us the first font, “Bad Signal”, for the band name,
Hazmat Cat, and the second font, “Urban Jungle”, for the album name, The Unweeded Garden (for
the reasons behind these choices, see above).
