1. Work plan:
I will launch “M.O.B- Money or Blood?” on the 10th
April 2020, because the
spring is the perfect time to launch a darkly comedic action thriller like
“M.O.B”- the summer is prime action blockbuster season, so the spring is the
right time to launch a more unique but still recognisable-by-genreaction
thriller with a bit of a tongue-in-cheek twist, in the form of the funny, quirky
and simultaneously sinister hitman who will be played by my friend and
uniquely engaging actor Oisin Kelleher. There is nothing locally going on at the
planned time of release, however it is Good Friday, which I think is a good
thing, as people will be off work and getting into the holiday mood, which
might convince them to watch “M.O.B” as something which will entertain
them immensely. My actors, Oisin and my friend and extremely capable actor
Joe Manzi (who will play the young man who is eventually killed by the hitman
because he fails to repay borrowed money) are both over 18, so I don’t need
to collect permission slips signed by their parents- they have both agreed to
star in “M.O.B” and have thus given their own consent. If the actors couldn’t
make it during filming I would replace them with Max Polingkhorn as the
hitman and Harvey Grahamas the young man, but this is a last resortand I
doubt will happen. I might also enlist Harvey Graham and Ben Gadsby as part
of my production team, as they both have extensive knowledgein film and
photography which I feel could elevate the general look of my film. As for a
budget, I would say that I would aim to spend no more than £25 making the
film, with this money potentially going on make-up for the cuts and gunshot
wound, however I would try and do this myself (and with the help of my
production team) to savemoney. I would also have to consider travel costs,
costume process and buying food for my actors- travelling shouldn’tactually
cost anything as both filming locations are a shortwalk away from my house,
costume should also cost little or nothing as nearly all of the clothes belong to
the actors who wear them , or are borrowed from a friend. As for food, I would
be willing to providebut seeing as everyoneinvolved in the film are my friends
they will probably buy lunch from a local shop. The budget could also be put
towards any potential royalties that I might have to pay to usethe Rolling
Stone’s “Sympathy for the Devil”, however it’s possiblethat they might not
reply to my email asking them for permission, meaning I can lawfully usethe
song for free. Overall, I would say my budget is £25 maximum, realistically
though I would hope it will come to around £5.
