Font ideas
- 1. Font ideas
- 2. This is a conventional Japanese looking font or style of writing meaning it is recognisable to the audience as a link to the name of the song. However I do not feel this font is suitable for the band name as well- and as I want to use the same font for both- this means this font is not ideal for the CD cover. I feel this font is more pop-punk and playful as it is rounded off and bold meaning people buying the CD are likely to notice it. I do feel it is a little bit large however and may take up too much room on the cover.
- 3. This again has the pop-punk feel to it as it is rounded, fun and unusual. It is easily recognisable and bold making it aesthetically pleasing. However I do not feel it has any link to the song itself even though it would be ideal for the bands persona. This could be a potential font. I chose this because it is a fun looking font which makes it look as if the band have written on the CD cover making it seem a little more personal. The capital letters make it stand out to the audience making it seem appealing and attractive. However this has no clear link to either the son title or the band meaning it might not be a good idea to use. However if I do want to add that personal tough then this could be the font to use.
- 4. This is the font I am most likely to use. This is for a number of reasons: • It’s pop-punk feel though the use of curved thick letters- almost childlike • It links to the title as it looks Japanese influenced through the way it is written • It is a nice size • It is bold, therefore making the CD cover stand out • It looks hand written making the cover look as if it doesn’t take itself too seriously. This is a link to the music video that active audiences might appreciate. • It can be used to write the song title and the bands name On the final product I may change the colour of the title in order to make it look more aesthetically pleasing or fir the theme of the CD cover. This colour will most likely to be red to match the dotted lines (see first draft).
