Time Fractures Animation

Student Name: Jessie Bourke
Number: 371699
Project proposal title: Time fractures
date: 17/01/2021
Main area of activity:
I will be making an animation for my project.
Target Audience
People from the ages of 2 to the ages of 24 are most likely to be entertained. This age group
is likely to watch the show. This is because they mostly watch tv or YouTube daily. My
project isn't directed at any gender as its neutral to everyone. For the socioeconomic status
I am leaning to the grade class of b, c1, c2, d, e. On an ongoing questionnaire the results so
far are 50% of the people who answered said they have watched animated programs and
the other 50% said they may have seen animated programs but are unsure. 83% of the
participants added that they would enjoy a show with portals and curses in the program as
well as33% said that it shouldn’t be a stereotypical hero and villain story. The audience
that I am trying to attract are people who find interest in the unknown and questionable
aspects of the program. The audience isn't supposed to have specifics because tv is a
worldwide aspect of this generation it would be less essential to know that I am addressing
everyone to watch this program even at young ages they wouldn’t understand but in young
children the colourful images will draw them to watch alongside the older family members.
This product is however trying to attract the mainstream audience as it wider range and
variety.
Rationale:
Over the course of the past year, I have learned how to animate my characters and
reviewed my skill set from year one. The animation skills I have developed have help me
create a simple project for the factual project however I am adapting those skills to create a
animated show for people to watch. My FMP from my first year is also the pre version of
this concept and I will be adapting my work to work with and around this projects design
and new scriptures. This project is based on my first years FMP statistics such as, the
character design (them having special abilities), the genre of fantasy and the main point of
a group of kids save the day.
Project Concept:
The concept of my project is a group of friends are hanging out when two get stuck in a
portal and the rest of their friends for a group to save them while ensuring that the rest of
the town is safe from any more portals, it leavesit on a cliff hanger where the victims and
the rescuers are running from other characters in the portals, they found their friends in.
To do this I am going to draw it out on paper then scan it in at college if we go back. This
method I am using is called Rotoscope and it the tracing of movements using lights and
tracing paper its fairly simple but very time consuming. This animation concept is fairly
simple but I will have to create multiple scenes to be able to know what direction I go in
without causing constant redrafts of the story.

How will the project be evaluated and reviewed?
For the evaluation I plan to evaluate the project against the accuracy in similarity of the
script and designs, the diary records that show what I have done and changed throughout.
This process will help me in the future so I can keep track and make informed decisions
and designs without questioning the ability, the accuracy or detailing.

Be aware which of those weeks are in or out of college,as you may need to plan different tasks around other
work when workingremotely. Budget for approximately 30 hours for production – which is roughly two weeks
of your in-collegetime.
