1. Since an early age, I have developed an interest in art as well as when I hit the later stages of
high school, I developed an interest in digital showcasing of products such as movie marketing.
From a young age, I have had an eye for art and intricate designs from paper to digital pieces.
My original idea for college was graphic design alongside art but it seemed way too ambitious
from the tutors I asked to which they advised me to look at creative media after looking into
creative media I was confident in saying that this course is where I wanted to start. I have found
an interest in creative media as not only the production but the marketing ways we learn in the
projects such as what type of audience we are targeting and what I need to include to be able
to attract the said audience.
My strengths in this course I would say is my way of organizing how I execute the project and
how I have researched and planned even when it’s a large range of ideas to which I can narrow
down to simplify the idea of what I can create and what I cannot create. As well as my other
strength being how I design the project's outcome and the styles and techniques I have tried to
involve making it appealing to a certain audience type. I would say my weakness is that I need
to focus on my independence with work as I rely on what people are thinking when I start my
project instead of just going with what I plan to begin with I’d also say that my weakness is that
I try to be a perfectionist with the work I produced. The skills I amcapable of are creative
designs, organizing within the time management given, I am also able to try new experiences
within the creative industry as I am creating something new all the time. My skills are limited as
I able to work with the software, but I can adapt to new techniques of working with certain
software.
I picked this course as I expected to start in level two considering most of my art was okay, not
excellent but I started in level 3 which is better than I anticipated. My current job is working in a
children’s area doesn’t quite fit into the aspect of my course but it has helped me with
communication skills between myself and the client as I wasn’t all too confident before, but I
can answer the customer if they need help with either department. I was also part of young
firefighters in which I have gotten a Btec certificate in the fire service with a medal alongside.
This opportunity has helped me develop life skills such as what I need to do in an emergency
with injured people either if a fire has started, I have also developed teamwork skills and
leadership skills while taking part in this two-year course.
Within the image of the future, I’m looking to be able to start my own production company to
help advertise people’s organizations and jobs or become a media marketer within the same
type of industry. What I want in university is to be able to learn the business side of media
marketing as well as the creativity that can attract the most audience. I am willing to learn in
any environment to see which one is a better placement for my skills, I’malso wanting to learn
new skills and adapting the skills I’malready capable of. As well as in the image of the future I
am wanting to focus mainly on the influence certain videos can bring across to different age
groups
