Check list Cadets for me is something I was a part of. I found it fun and
life changing, I was determined not to quit or fail as I wanted
to be good at what I was doing. The drills where hard but
after practicing they became second nature. Learning the
phoentic alphabet has stuck to my mind I could tell you all of
them. The more difficult part is learning it first via the paper
copy folders we filled in but after we had teamwork games
and friendships building but we all worked hard in trying our
best. I was 1/3 girls who attended out of the 9 people who
was participatingm I can say that as a team we worked hard
and it was impossible to not be doing something, wither its
helping take down the ladder or under running and rolling
the hoses or clearing the hydrant or the ropes theres always
somet to help or do after a drill. Our fastest time for a drill
was 12 mins plus a few seconds that was after a few
practices.
I throughly enjoyed this experience as it helped my
confidence in growing around new people.
4. The location of this project
is at the selby fire house
station as my old cadet
course was there
6. week What in that week How
1 research Home and at college research into different products that are similar to my design
2 Idea development and
planning
Creating a range of mood boards and mindmaps about the product I am creating that
includes; styles, techniques, location, organisational docs, storyboard/script, log for
any further information
3 Creating raw content Filming and creating an example of my future product
4 Creating raw content Filming and creating an example of my future product
5 Post- production Putting the footage together and creating a video
6 Post- production ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
7 Post- production ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
8 evaluation Throughly evaluating my product as if I was the audience as well as asking class mates
to look at it and give critism
7. For the styles I could
possibly have an
expressive
introductory voice
and the flow
through each video
can have a
transition or can just
flick straight on it.
The techniques I can
use is by filming at
the cadets and then
modifying the
footage at college. I
can also add in
background music
to attract the
audience more.
My overall idea is to get as musch footage as
possible and interview for as long as possible to get
a range of footage so that I can use it in a on and off
way where it’s going between the different footage
getting cut and changing to a different one with
background music and overlaying the audios and try
keep it to a specific word for each video. I'm also
going to try do some stick figure animations to go in
the video as a full video based on one 'thing
isn't going to keep them hooked'
8. Intro with
some video
Script
Then start with a few of the
interviews switching
between the main parts
Videos with natural and background
music - possibly taking part
Interviews
again
Videos with
interview over lays
animation
With a goodbye or conclusion
This is only a first
draft a more
detailed draft is
show also
9. To begin with im going to
have an introduction for
myself and the topic. I'll
be using animation to
introduce the topics title.
I will fade into an interview or
two from the main instructors
to get their point of view on
the cadets and why it's
something they do for younger
people
I will show videos of
the practices and
learning with the
natural audio no
overlay
The animation ill be putting here would be including
information about other cadets and a fun video to
show it
Some more
interviews but with
the cadets and their
opinions about their
opportunity
Back to the videos but ill overlay some of the
interview audio over them if its related to the
video shown
At the end there would be a reminder of a few things, ideas
for the younger people like wat they may want to be a part of
and an outro
In between gaps where there isnt any audio there will be music playing just to make sure that they arent waiting with no sound
if they are using headphones.
10. MOOD BOARDS
from my mood boards I have looked mainly at fire cadets and
the images that show what they do but ive also looked at
background music that could possibly relate to the main
topic of the documentary and also ive looked at the colour
co-ordinations of the video throughout.
11.
12.
13. For the colour scheme my focus' are the black to a yellowy orange as it is a representative of fire especially
as my focus is on the fire cadets. The other colours are what I am basing other parts on to help it stand out
more in the video
There is going to a drawn animation part during this video as it can split up the information with a bit of
a silly cartoon like section, I'm adding it as part of the documentary as its still giving information about
cadets but it giving the opportunities and life skills more over all cadets instead of just fire cadets. I
am talking about fire cadets but there are other cadets that need addressing to incase there are
young people who want to join a different cadet crew instead of the fire service cadets.
14. Date: 29/10/2020 project update
I am animating my project instead of filming the
cadets due to unforeseen circumstances.
My plan is to create a fun animated comedy
with information in it to appeal to users on
YouTube.
