Oscar Fred Gibb proposes an audio documentary project about strange individuals in the town of Market Weighton. He will interview people with unusual hobbies like train spotters and Sunday football players. The documentary will give insight into why these people pursue their interests. Gibb will also interview fake people to advance a story about a presenter who alters his views after making the documentary. Over nine weeks, Gibb will research subjects, conduct interviews, record sound, edit audio, and evaluate his final product. He believes his improved skills from past projects will allow him to create a better audio documentary.

Rationale:
Throughout the year and through all the different projects I have created I have gathered plenty of
new and useful skills as I am now used to writing an evaluation and proposals as I have created
them for each project and so I will use these skills to ensure that all the writing pieces (alike this
one) that can reach the achievements I need. My last audio project was interesting as I was not
used to using adobe premiere and so it wasn’t a great product but now with the skills I have gained
since then I now know how to fade sounds in and out and will not make stupid mistakes and
hopefully create a much better product.
Project Concept:
The concept for my project is that I wanted to create a documentary on strange individuals that
everyone may know like a train spotter or a 30-year-old man who plays football every Sunday as
many people don’t understand why these individuals are interested in trains or waking up at 7:00
to play football on a Sunday and this documentary will give an insight into these people as well as
this documentary as I will interview some “odd” people I will interview fake people too like a fake
train spotter etc. as the documentary is a part of a story about the narrator as he will begin as dull,
angry presenter who is fed up with his job and doesn’t treat people fairly and after creating this
documentary his preferences change as he begins to alter how he acts towards people. I will have
to research into different people around the town of Market Weighton as I will need to research into
the local radio show host and plan when I can interview them as well as I will need to access
where the radio will be as well as I will need to research if there is any other strange people around
Weighton as I will need to create the correct questions that will provide interesting and maybe
comical answers.
How will the project be evaluated and reviewed:
I will evaluate my work strictly as I will question why I decided to create a story other than a regular
documentary and how clean the editing will be but I will also be fair and discuss what is good
about my project as I will need to help highlight the positives as well as being self critical
