Concept & Aim of Project.
For my Final Major Project, I want to design a MMO video
game and create some character and environment
concepts for it.
I will create around 4 unique characters and create a small backstory for
each, alongside designing things like their appearance, clothing and
weapons. I would like to create at least one environment design so that
the game has some sort of visual to it.
Research to Undertake.
Primary Research: I will take primary
images and possibly draw from life.
Look at comics and games.
Secondary Research: I will
search on the internet
and look in the library for books.

Editor's Notes

  1. I would like the game to have Eastern culture to it and it will have some creepy and disturbing enemies which the characters have to fight – based off some sort of existing legend.
  2. Primary images - China Town, museums, chinese culture – traditional, draw from life for poses or if I find any particular locations or objects that I quite like because I want to improve my life drawing. Secondary images – Look fore books and internet about the culture I’m researching.
  3. Faces and poses, making them all look part of the same character. I want the designs to be quite unique Usually I don’t do much development and jump straight to an idea. rather than drawing in the same style I would like to create some new styles
  4. This will have their appearance, weapons, a description of backstory, etc Maybe have it like a poster or advertisement for the game coloured pencil drawings – some games are based off comics
