5.  Nagerbazar junction on Jessore Road is an important junction situated in the
north of Kolkata city under South Dum Dum Municipal Area.
 It is the east terminal point of Dum Dum Road which acts as E-W link between B
T Road and Jessore Road thereby NH 34 in the north.
 Nagerbazar Junction is a T-type junction of Dum Dum Road and Jessore Road.
 This junction gets congested everyday due to the development of markets,
construction of multi storied buildings in the peripheral plots and shops.
 The traffic congestion situation gets further worsened due to the accumulation of
buses, auto rickshaws and slow moving vehicles at the junction area.
 To facilitate an easy movement of the through traffic at Nagerbazar, Transport
Department, Government of West Bengal, proposed a Flyover along Jessore
Road with Entry ramp from Dum Dum Road.
