The “Flipped”
Classroom
By: Stephanie Jones
Flipping the Classroom
• In a flipped class, students gain content knowledge at home through audio,
video and text, so that more class time can be devoted to discussion,
exploration and experimentation.

• When this isn’t possible, teachers can create a flipped classroom while at
school. This is refereed to as “Spinning” a classroom. This can be achieved
by having access to audio and video presentations while at school.
