The Song Analysis OfHey, Jude, By Paul Mccartney
Hey, Jude was written by The Beatles band member, Paul McCartney in 1970. McCartney
originally titled the song as Hey, Jules as an ode to John Lennon s son Jules, who was in the
forefront of his parents divorce. McCartney ultimately decided to change the title to Hey, Jude
after hearing the name in a movie and liking the sound of the name. The voice of Hey, Jude is
encouraging and urges Jude to not give up during hard times. Paul McCartneyacts as the persona,
taking an influential role in Jude s life. Hey, Jude contains poetic elements that add to the overall
effect of the song, including rhyme, symbolism, and multiple sound techniques. Paul McCartney
added rhyme to Hey, Jude while coming up with the lyrics on his way to... Show more content on

Multiple sound techniques are used in Hey, Jude to aide the song to take a poetic feel.
McCartney, the lead singer, physically sings the song in a happy, almost encouraging manner.
John, George, and Ringo, the other band members, add backup vocals to aide McCartney in
bringing forth an encouraging tone. The tempo of the music is 3 beats per measure, which is
moderately fast. Given that the fast tempo helps give the song an upbeat and encouraging tone, it
contributes to the effect of the song. The stanzas of Hey, Jude are relatively similar in length,
each having a similar rhyme scheme. The words of the song follow a pattern of stressed and
unstressed syllables, which is referred to as rhythm. The rhythm greatly affects how the listener
interprets that meaning. Repetition of phrases like, Hey, Jude, and, Then you can start to make it
better, are used to emphasize the phrases importance in the song. The repetition allows listeners to
remember the line and, because of this, is considered a way McCartney manipulated sound.
McCartney used tricks within the music, like rhythm and repetition, to create a poetic feeling. The
feeling the music brings forth adds to the overall effect of the song. All things considered, the
comprehensive meaning of the song Hey, Jude has changed for me as I carefully listened for the
McCartney s use of poetry. Paul

The Crisis And The Eurozone Crisis
In dealing with current EU hot button topics, solutions are as many and varied as there are
countries in the European Union itself. There are many aspects to a countries point of view on
such issues including location, history, economy, political outlook, and so on. Because of these
influences countries sharing similar histories, locations, economic standings, and etc. band
together to create voting blocs in order to get their agendas pushed forward. This paper will
discuss the viewpoints of Albania, Bulgaria, and Romania with respect to the refugee crisis and the
Eurozone crisis as related by several meetings of representatives from each country. After reading

With the help of the United Kingdom and other countries, this wall will be replaced and
construction for a new wall along the Greek border will also begin (BBM As an Alt. Route).
Several policemen and the army are currently in place at the two borders (BBM As an Alt.
Route), though their job is to maintain order only.. If the refugees manage to enter legally they are
sent to one of three detention centers where they are met with appalling conditions: filthy
surroundings, overcrowding, abject poverty, and no interpreters (BBM Legal Org). For those who
enter illegally, they often experience intense violence, getting beaten, shot, and/or killed by police
or even average citizens (Amnesty International). This hatred stems in part from jealousy over the
plight of refugees taking away from the troubles of impoverished Bulgarians and in part from
hatred of the Bulgarian Muslim/Turkish minority. When the three countries came together on this
issue a bit of push back was experienced as views on the refugees range from open to unsure to
closed. Albania has taken over 75,000 refugees already and they wish to take in more, but they
cannot support any more people economically. At this point, their Prime Minister wishes to close
their borders but they cannot afford to deploy their army and their

National Organ Transplant
Define the current kidney transplant situation in the United States (organ origin, patients on a
waiting list, and treatment options while on the waiting list). National organ transplant act of 1984
At the end stage of renal disease, many patients choose to go for kidney transplant. Kidney can be
donated by alive or deceased donor. Alive donors have to at least 18 years of age to give consent
for kidney transplant and if not then have to be with their parent/guardian to provide consent. When
a person applies to be on the waiting list, many measures are considered to look for a compatible

What are the implications of the authors findings? How can this information be applied in the
future?
If there is more data and supporting documents available that provide more precise information
about the HLA incompatible kidney transplantation and its results, the technique can be practiced
in future to contribute towards the increased demand on kidney supply at the end stage of renal
disease, so that more patients have access to kidney on fair chances and more patients have faster
access to kidney. There can be more advanced laws and acts to protect the ethical side of the
transplantation.
Can you think of additional analyses/experiments that could be performed to enhance the current
transplantation problems?
There are many improved approaches available for individual organ preservation like:
a)Renal preservation by SCS: where each kidney is submerged into ice saline water and each
kidney is surrounded with perfusing solution and placed in a sterile solution and then stored in

The Iraq-Iraq War
When the gold mining and gold trade era came to an end, the whole world set its eyes on the next
most expensive natural reserve on this planet earth The Oil. And as we know, the Middle East has
been an oil rich region from the start, therefore, the whole world wangled around the Middle
Eastern countries to meet their oil consumption needs by getting their hands on this natural resource.
Saddam s Rule and Petrodollar era:
Same was the case with Iraq, which is an oil rich country and has the second largest oil reserves on
the Earth. By the end of 1970, Saddam Hussein rose to power in Iraq and established himself as its
head. He did not approve of the radical islamic ideas booming in Iran and slowly making their way
to Iraq and it was during this time when Iraq invaded Iran, over the disputed Shatt Al Arab
waterway that divided both the countries. The US, Europe, and other countries of the Persian Oil
gulf financed Iraq in this war, and crowned Saddam as The Defender of the Arab World .
Unfortunately, for Iraq and Saddam, things did not go as planned and Iran retaliated crushing Iraq

Adaptation Of The Film Industry
Article Critique: Adaptation in the Film Industry
From the very outset, it is worth noting that the article s central theme is the practice of
adaptation. Adaption is used in the article to describe the practice of transforming an already
existing work of art to come up with a new form of art. In essence, adaptation involves developing a
new work of art (such as a film) from an existing one (such as a novel or play). The new work of
art is said to have transformed or adapted the original. As such, it is inevitably referred to a
reproduction or adaptation of the original. In this sense, the focus of the article is on how different
artistic and literary works have been transformed into films through adaptation.
It is very evident that the author of the article was very passionate about the subject of adaptation.
This can be deduced from the manner in which he approaches the subject. Subsequently, it is only
logical to conclude that the issue of adaptation was a very interesting one at the time the article was
written. If for nothing else, then there is a high possibility that adaptation was an issue of great
concern (and even a source of controversy) among people in the film industry. Otherwise there may
have been come competing interests at stake. These competing interests may have pitted those
opposed to adaptation and those in support. Although the article does not say for real, it is highly
probable that those in the film industry supported adaptation while those in

The Lives Of Galileo And Kepler s Inventions
In ancient Greek there are a few main famous people that are remembered. They are Galileo,
Newton, and Kepler. These men were very intelligent and creative and like to think outside the box
when it comes to math, science, and astronomy. All three men were in a way connect to another
through their works. Let s take a deeper look into the lives of these three men.
We can start with Galileo an Italian astronomer. He is known for a few things such as the
Copernican theory which basically is the theory that supports sun centered solar system. Also
Galileo became interested in astronomy, and after he did he built the first telescope back in 1609.
With this new invention it helped him discover things about the planets. For an example it helped
him discover ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
He did other work as well as to improve optics in the refracting telescope and coming up with the
Mysterium
Cosmographicum. He improved the Copernican system and wrote in terms of mathematical of how
planets moved.
The last is Newton from England astronomer. He came up with the three laws of motion not to
confuse them with Kepler s three laws of planetary motion. Newton s three laws were one every
object in motion stays in motion until acted upon by force, the second is force equals mass
times acceleration, and the third is to every action there is an opposite reaction. He also wrote
gradational theory with the help of Kepler s previous work. He became inspired by the sight of
seeing a falling apple. This got him curious and wanted to know more. He also was known for the
first reflecting telescope, which allowed him to play around with the colors and prism that came
from the spectrum to see. Though he may not have had tons of contributing he did have major
findings and that is what made him famous.
It seems like throughout history that these three men eventually helped each other out from what
they discovered. Since they were in the same field and had

The Methodical Approach Of A Doctoral Program
As a graduate student choosing a research design on a research topic is very important to the
completion of a doctoral program. Often times as research students they struggle with the research
process in which they require additional help or assistance on a chosen topic. Many students depend
upon their instructors and the additional assistance of the school library and the dissertation center.
In choosing a subject to complete researchone of the most important factors is the methodical
approach in which will be sought in the research process. (Vankatesh, Brown, Bala, 2013).
The methodical approach implied provides assistance in examining, whether the information
researched was initiated and properly researched. When the researched information has been
proven the outcome becomes more prominent and reliable in other research subjects. This is
important because it shows the value of the research as well as its reliability and predictability.
When a researcher applies the proper methodology and research design the comparison among
fact and theory can be verified and it will also provide the researcher ethic procedures needed for
the research to be achieved (Vankatesh, Brown, Bala, 2013).
The researched information will give the strength and weaknesses of an envisioned research
design and method that will be used on the discussion of the effects of marketing on social media
websites. Justification for the method and design will also be provided. The avid need for
businesses to

Professional Athletes who Cheat in Sports Essay
Professional athletes are role models to the American children across the Nation. Professional
athletes must follow ethical standards to play fairly in their sport. This means that players must
compete without the assistance of performance enhancing drugs such as steroids (Tynes, 2006).
Yet, professional athletes choose to cheat by taking illegal substances, which results in the death
of some players and a wide variety of health problems. The Federal Government realized that the
use of anabolic steroids is a form of cheating and defrauds the players and fans of real competition.
As a result, for the concern of the athletes health and concern for the ethical standards of the game

for illegal steroid substances in 2000. Due to the test results and rumors of the athletes, the U.S
Anti Doping agency began their operation during the same year. In 2002, the Federal
investigation of the BALCO Company began. A narcotics task force received tips that
professional baseball players were doping and receiving undetected illegal performance
enhancement supplements from BALCO s founder, Victor Conte. Later in 2003, a disgruntled
sprint coach, Trevor Graham turned over a sample of the drug tetrahydrogestrinone (THG)

the Fall of 2003, federal agents raid BALCO offices where HGH (human growth hormones) were
found. As a result of the raid athletes were accused and fingers were pointed. Many athletes
involving baseball players Barry Bonds, Jason Giambi, and track and field athletes Marion Jones

Truck Drivers
Truck drivers or truckers are considered transporters because their work entails driving container
loads of various products to designated locations. Trucking companies ensure that people living in
remote areas get the supplies they need for daily living. This means truck drivers put in long hours,
face season changes the best way that they can and brave the rather insecure nature of their trade to
meet their deadlines.
Qualifications for Truck Driving
1.CDL For you to apply for trucking company jobs you must acquire a Commercial Driver s
License (CDL) which permits you to operate a commercial motor vehicle. Commercial motor
vehicles weigh 26, 000 pounds or higher while the vehicle in tow should weigh more than 10,000
pounds. A more inclusive definition of commercial motor vehicles incorporates school buses,
vehicles carrying sixteen or more passengers ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
If your CDL classification is Class A, you need your own insurance because you will most probably
qualify for local truck driving company jobs. Class B and C CDL may guarantee you CDL trucking
jobs like driving a tour bus or school bus and your employer may provide insurance as a work
benefit which is an advantage.
3.Physique There is physical labor involved while working for trucking company jobs such as
loading and unloading of supplies and fixing small mechanical problems that arise while you are on
the road. It would be prudent to ensure you prepare your body through lifting weights and strength
training.
Types of Trucking Company Jobs
You can choose from various trucking company jobs such as a heavy tractor trailer truck driver
with a high school education and a CDL or an oil field truck driver, who sometimes hauls
hazardous materials and attracts a higher salary due to the dangerous nature of the work.
Other truck driving jobs include:

Sony And Its Effects On The World Essay
I.INTRODUCTION
In 2006, Sony; the second largest manufacturer of laptop batteries in the world was in the headlines
as major laptop manufacturing companies such as Apple, Dell, Compaq, and Lenovo were forced to
recall their products containing the faulty batteries manufactured by Sony, due to safety concerns.
[1], [2], [3], [4]
A.Saftey Concerns
Between December of 2005 and August of 2006 there were six fires in Dell laptop computers,
including one that burst into flames at a conference in Osaka. [1] This incident was caught on tape
and viewed worldwide, prompting Dell to recall 4.2 million laptop batters on August 14, 2016 [1],
with this number rising later in the year to almost 10 million.
Apple also recalled some 1.8 million batteries on August 24, 2006 [after] nine reports of batteries
overheating including two incidents of minor burns. [1] Companies such as Fujitsu, Lenovo and
Toshiba also reported incidents similar to the previously mentioned and undertook similar
measures. [1]
II.BACKGROUND
A.Lithium Ion Batteries
A Lithium ion battery is a battery where the negative electrode (anode) and positive electrode
(cathode) materials serve as a host for the lithium ion (Li+). Lithium ions move from the anode to
the cathode during discharge and are intercalated into (inserted into voids in the crystallographic
structure of) the cathode. The ions reverse direction during charging. [2]
In a lithium ion cell, alternating layers of anode and cathode are separated

I Am Legend
The movie I am Legend is a great movie. I really enjoy I am Legend because it is a story about
Robert Neville (Will Smith) and his dog Samantha, a German shepherd, surviving in a zombie
apocalypse in the heart of New York City. Now these are not your normal zombies they are more or
less just infected, but they cannot go into sunlight because it burns their skin very quickly. They are
infected with a virus that started out having the ability to cure cancer, but then later mutated the

That night the infected find their way to Robert s house, they start to attack and get inside.
Robert, Anna, and Ethan go down to his lab in the basement, and lock themselves in a protected
room with the infected that he captured. The infected he capture was not infected anymore and
was slowly becoming human again, but the other infected started beating on the glass trying to
break their way into the room. So Robert takes a blood sample, which has the cure in it, of the
captured infected gives it to Anna and Ethan. He then locks them in a smaller emergency locker,
and tells them to get the cure to other scientists and fix it all. He then shuts the door and pulls a
grenade out of a desk drawer. Looking at all the infected in the room he pulls the pin and opens
the door ending his life and killing all the infected in the area. Anna and Ethan then find their way
to other people and scientists and were able to save the world because of the work of Robert
Neville. In my opinion, the movie I am Legend is a fantastic movie for many reasons being from
plot, to characters, and to the producer. The plot was based on a 1954 horror book I am Legend by
Richard Matheson. This story is what he is most well known for and made him popular. Richard
had many great works and those got him the chance to write sixteen episodes for the popular
television show The Twilight Zone. This television show aired from 1959 to 1964 with five
seasons and 156 episodes. Making the book into a movie shows that it was a good enough story to

The Diversity Myth Essay
The Diversity Myth
The idea that diversity is one of the country s great strengths is now so firmly rooted that virtually
anyone can evoke it, praise it, and wallow in it without fear of contradiction. It has become one of
the great unassailably American ideas, like democracy, patriotism, the family, or Martin Luther
King.
The President of the United States glories in diversity. In May, 1995, in a message recognizing the
Mexican holiday, Cinco de Mayo, William Clinton said, The Fifth of May offers all of us a chance
to celebrate the cultural diversity that helps to make our nation great. A few days later, when he
designated May as Asian/Pacific American Heritage Month, he said, With the strength of our
diversity and a ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
and Mrs. Clinton are promoting is a great advantage for America is one of the most obviously
stupid propositions ever to see the light of day.
Nevertheless there is one kind of diversity that is an advantage. A contractor, for example, cannot
build houses if he hires only electricians. He needs carpenters, plumbers, etc. a diverse work force.
However, functional diversity of this kind is not what the Chief Executive is on about. He is
talking about largely non functional differences like race, language, age, sex, culture and even
whether someone is homosexual. One might call this status diversity.
What advantages would a contractor get from a mixed work force of that kind? None. What are the
advantages the United States gets from a racially mixed population? None.
The idea that status diversity is a strength is not merely a myth, but a particularly transparent one.
Explaining why diversity is bad for a country is a little like explaining why cholera is bad for it; the
trick is to understand how anyone could possibly think it was good.
In fact, diversity became a strength after the fact. It became necessary to believe in it because
skepticism would be racist. Otherwise intelligent people began to mouth nonsense about diversity
only because of the blinding power of the race taboo. After diversity began to include sex, mental
disabilities, perversions, and everything else that was alien or outlandish, to disbelieve in the power

Four Methods Of Job Design Essay
Four Methods of Job Design
Job specialization
Job specialization is one of methods of job design. The basic idea of job specialization is to get
the employee to stay on one specific task they are assigned do. As stated by Pride, Hughes and
Kapoor, job specialization is the segregation of all the organizational activities into individual tasks
and the allocation of different task to different people. (Pride, Hughes and Kapoor, 2013). For the
HR management to perform job specialization they will first have to start on an organizational
structure. Which is to determine each job, its purpose, and where it reports to in the organization.
This will allow a company to execute proper operation procedures and will help company attain
their aim. Benefits of job specialization include employee being able to master his task and quality
control cost is also lower to due to specialization (Study.com, 2015)

employee a greater work load through a wide range of task performed at that level. According to ...

Job enrichment basically means to expand the employees work by increasing the range and
intricacy they are told to complete. According to Koontz, what job enrichment does is to inject
into jobs, more challenge and accomplishments (Koontz, 2010). One of the positive outcome of
job enrichment is employees are more motivated. This is because, with the company giving them
the chance to grow and upgrade themselves through job enrichment, they feel more motivated
knowing they are advancing. The task they are enforced with are made easy due to the increase
of skills level for the employee. However there are also it s limitations. Most of the employees do
not want the type of challenge or responsibility that it handed to them. After all, it is basic human
tendency to want to walk away from a responsibility (Mbaofficial.com,

My Baby
I continued to watch my mama as her face began to turn crimson and her eyes grew imbued with
moisture, and I knew right away that something had happened to my step daddy. I mean, who
else could it have been she was talking about? My mama, then said, Okay... Okay... Okay... We ll

saying, Thank you, to the person on the other end and hanging up. Anxiously I asked her, What is

elements because the hood had peeled away as the front end crumpled in on itself. My mama
didn t even let the officer finish what he was saying about the accident before she started
frantically asking him where he was, He of coursing being my Step Daddy Cade. The officer
then pointed to one of the two ambulances that were already on scene. I watched my mama
quickly run over to the back of the one he d pointed to, and I followed her in pursuit. She then
opened the ambulance s back doors without even knocking and inside was two men who just
stared back at us with surprised looks on their faces while my step daddy lay unconscious on a
gurney between them. My mama cried out, Cade! in a hysterical sob filled voice when she saw
him and the men then quickly ushered her inside the cab. As my mama climbed in, I remained
just outside the doors of the bus standing in the rain because there really wasn t enough room left
inside for me also to climb on board, and I didn t want to be in the paramedics way. As I stood in
the drizzle, I looked over my step daddy as he laid helplessly all cut up and covered with blood.

Battery Park Research Paper
Battery Park City is a mainly residential, 92 acre community, located on the southwestern tip of
Manhattan. The community is built mostly on landfill made of soil and rock excavated during the
construction of The World Trade Center. Geographically, the area is surrounded by the Financial
District on the southeastern side, Tribeca on the northeastern side, and by the Hudson River on the
west side.
Named for its historic park, Battery Park actually did not exist 50 years ago. The park itself got
its name in 1623, when early Dutch settlers landed and placed battery cannons in order to protect
the land. In the 1800 s, the land was mostly used as an immigration center. Once Ellis Island was
established as an alternate immigration center in 1892, Battery Park lost its role. Battery Park
contained many shipping piers, which latter lost its purpose with the creation of air travel.
By the 1950 s, many private firms proposed that the area be reconstructed through landfill, which
governor Nelson Rockefeller agreed with. The plan became complicated, as Rockefeller wanted to
redevelop the land as a separate project. In 1966 Rockefeller proposed what would become Battery
Park City, and hired Wallace K. Harrison as the architect in order to create a balance of residential

The Importance Of Resilience In My Life
For an individual to be a success, it requires more than intellect. To flourish in your career and in
life, your character must move you toward your aspirations. Throughout life, several experiences
have formed me into a person of resilience, empathy, and composure. Such qualities have allowed
me to reach my goals and serve my community. In addition to my intelligence, these qualities render
me an exceptional student and employee.
The ability to be resilient is at the core of who I am, and the challenges that have created this
resilience have taught me empathy. Because of my weight, I was the subject of bullying in school
and found relief in sports and exercise. Eventually, I lost fifty pounds and ascended the social
ladder. With new friends and popularity, I attended a party and tried alcohol, at the adolescent
age of fourteen. At the party, the star football player asked me to come talk to him, alone.
Afterward, he led me into a room and shut the door. At that point, I began to feel suspicious, but
overcome by alcohol, fell unconscious, then eventually wakened to him on top of me. Being so
immature, I had no idea how to cope with the event and concealed it from everyone I could. The
students that knew about it and even a few parents harassed me. Walking through the hallways of
the school, I tolerated endless derogatory remarks. Ashamed and humiliated, I began skipping class
and isolating myself from people. My family did not know about the incident for two years, until

Examples Of Harmonizing A Harmonic Melody
How to Harmonize a Tonal Melody
Ultimately, harmonizing a melody is a matter of personal taste. Nevertheless, although you have
some leeway in the selection of chords, a certain standard of musical communication, known as
style, prevents you from exercising complete freedom.
Harmonizing a Chorale Phrase
The following general principles will guide our choice of chords for a Chorale harmonizations as
much like those of Bach as possible:
1. You must use half (I V, IV V, or ii V) or authentic (V I) cadences for the final two notes of each
phrase.
2. You should use circle progressions throughout in each phrase. Circle progressions are more often
longer and more abundant near the cadence than at the beginning of the phrase.
3. Harmonize each melody note with one chord. It is possible to repeat chords occasionally, but
adjacent repeated chords are usually in different ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
A typical melody will have no more than one or two structural tones per measure. (The other notes
are connecting or embellishing notes.) The chord you apply to a structural tone should include the
structural tone as one of the three notes of the basic triad.
Now comes the work of fitting chords to these structural tones. We could apply one of three chords
that include the structural tone in the triad. As we continue on in this fashion, we can come up with
any number of interesting chord progressions. Once you ve assigned the chords to the structural
tones, return the melody to its expanded state. Note that when using the structural tone method,
there is no right or wrong way to decide which chords to apply Other Tips for Harmonizing a

Comparing Two Different Versions Of Greek Myth
In ancient Greece, Greek mythology was passed through each generation and is an important part
of daily life. It was believed that the powerful gods and goddesses were responsible for everything,
such as weather, emotions, agriculture, entertainment, and the creation man and Earth. Myths are
traditional stories that teach lessons that have been retold many times. which had created multiple
versions of each myth. By comparing any two versions, many similarities and differences can be
found. There are many similarities and differences between the versions of Phaethon s myth.

One of these differences is in Phaethon written by Evslin, Evslin, and Hoopes tells about how
Epaphus and Phaethon argue that Phaethon s father Apollo, had taught him to drive his sun
chariot. Phaethon says that his father is letting him drive it alone on that night. Epaphus thinks
Phaethon is lying, so he tells Phaethon to prove it. Phaethon says You ll know me. When I pass
the village I will come close and drive in circles around your roof. You ll see me alright. Farewell.
In the other version, Phaethon by Moira Kerr and John Bennett, the boys do not make a bet.
Instead, the story begins by saying Phaethon, whose father was the sun god, Apollo, was taunted
about his parentage by Epaphus, a youth of the same age whose father was the mighty Zeus. In this
version of the story, Epaphus insults Apollo in front of Phaethon, and he becomes determined to
meet his father and make him proud. Another difference in this story is how Apollo s horses and
chariot were described. In the story Phaethon by Evslin, Evslin, and Hoopes, the story says Fire
white horses with golden manes, golden hooves, and hot yellow eyes. When they neighed, the
trumpet call of it rolled across the sky, and their breath was flame. The sun chariot was an open
shell of gold. Each wheel was the flat, round, disk of the sun as it is seen in the sky. In the second

D.Single Sign On (SSO)
Most users have multiple accounts in various Service Providers with different usernames and
passwords which in turn leads to lost productivity and apply more overhead on administrators. So,
there is a need to use the SSO technique in which an authorized user uses only a single action of
authentication to access all related systems or applications of same trust domain [34]. In cloud
based SSO system the central authentication server hides a multiplicity of user s account
information into a single account to be sent to the needed server of the system or application
whenever the user intends to use it [35]. The concept of SSO can be deployed within an Intranet,
Extranet or Internet using Token or PKI based SSO protocols for single credentials or set of other
protocols for multiple credentials as declared in the following Figure:
Binu et al. [34] Proposed a Cloud authentication model with Single Sign on (SSO) functionality that
uses a password and mobile token stored within a mobile phone as the authentication factors. This
model uses a Secure Access Markup Language SAML protocol running on the authentication server
to support access across multiple domains.

In relation to Australia, the term Indigenous peoples refers to two distinct cultures of people who

new diseases from European settlement, Government policies of dispersal and dispossession, the

They extracted only what was necessary and provided the land with enough time to regenerate. The
Indigenous Australians worked to maintain the fragility of the environment, following the
traditional belief that they were the guardians of the land who were to maintain and preserve it for

Aboriginals also had their own system of law based on customs and beliefs, which worked like any
other in resolving disputes, acknowledging family and other relationships and protecting traditions
and beliefs. However, their laws were not documented in writing but rather passed down orally
from elders to children, as well as communicated through art.
Upon settling, the Europeans failed to recognise the Indigenous system of law, as well as the deep
attachment that the Aboriginal people had to the land and the traditional methods of maintaining it
which had been perfected over thousands of years such as fire stick farming. Consequently, the
indigenous Australians were considered a primitive race, with no obvious system of local law, and
Australia was deemed uninhabited land under the doctrine of Terra Nullius thereby, allowing
Britain to claim sovereignty over it

Abina Mansah: An Overlooked History Abina Mansah, like many other women in her time, was a
young Akan woman who was wrongfully enslaved by her captors. Although slaverywas made
illegal in 1875, many important men continued to seize youthful slaves female ones in particular,
because they were less likely to run away and seek liberation. Despite this, Abina refused to be a
slave under the authority of her master, Quamina Eddoo. With the help of court interpreter James
Davis, she attempted to force the court system to hear her voice. Young enslaved women like Abina
are often talked about in history, but never the ones to write historical documents themselves. Their
voices are hidden beneath the voices of important men, and this left women like Abina frustrated
and angry. As a student of the history of gender, Abina s story and her initiative to challenge the
authority others had over her shows us the importance of being heard, and how young women s
expressions are often disregarded and deemed less significant than those of important men.

buried under an Important Man s was the case in court. Quamina Eddoo, Abina s master who had

Rock N Roll On American Culture
Music is often considered the universal language. Throughout history, it has symbolized love,
brought people together, and mobilized millions. In the 1950s, a new form of music entered the
American music industry that drastically changed the culture of the United States (U.S.): rock
music. In the U.S., it began as rock n roll, an originally black musicgenre that was then taken and
promulgated by white Americans. After World War II (WWII), many Americans especially
teenagers struggled with the newfound societal conformity and normalcy, and rock provided them
with a form of rebellion. From its beginning, rock united the younger generation of Americans,

Before the 1960s, black artists were largely ignored, and black music frequently only gained
popularity if a white artist covered it.4 The Motown Record Company, located in Detroit, turned
this all on its head. Motown s owner, Berry Gordy Jr. groomed and prepared his company s
artists for mainstream success by studying successful white artists, polling on the street for
interest in certain sounds, and having Quality Control, in which every song had to be approved
by Gordy and a panel of other company members.5 Motown, also known as Hitsville USA,
helped stars like Diana Ross, Stevie Wonder, and William Smokey Robinson make it big in an
industry where white individuals dominated. Moreover, the British Invasion of the 1960s, in
which British Rock bands such as the Beatles and the Rolling Stones captured the hearts of
millions of Americans, led not only to a decrease in the former national sentiment of U.S.
superiority, but also, increased respect for black music.6 Musicians like the Beatles who initially
covered black American artists songs such as Anna (Go to Him) by Arthur Alexander claimed that
American rock n roll served as a initial model for their music.7 This led to a small but meaningful
increase in the credibility of black artists in the U.S. music scene as Americans began questioning

The Islam Of Islam And Islam
It is interesting to note that in the religion of Islam today, there is a general that women are
considered to be oppressed and deprived from becoming successful and powerful women. There is a
claim within the Muslim community that Islam helped to elevate the status of woman with the
creation of the religion in 610 A.D. The Muslim woman in Islam, specifically the married Muslim
woman is not protected in Islam through the Quran. They are not considered to be of equal status
of their male counterparts.. Many people in Islam believe that women are supposed to be seen and
not heard. A woman in their opinion has no voice within the religion and are not on equal footing as
men. It is my belief that due to the strict teachings of the Quran and Hadith, the status of women
within the religion has placed restrictions and limitations on them. Their position in society has not
improved or elevated. Women in Islam have no more religious freedoms today than they had before.
Whether you are a mother, wife, daughter, or a sister in Islam, you are looked at differently.

Examples Of Ethos In Jfk Speech
The number one thing most people fear is writing a speech and auditioning it publicly. Many
people would rather die than to present publicly. Writing speeches to persuade people is not only a
skill but art there needs to be a little bit of everything, The 3 common things in every persuasive
speech is Pathos, Logos, and Ethos. Pathos is what appeals to the emotion or what tugs on the
heart. Logos is something that has to do with statistics or logistics like financial cost and funding.
Lastly, Ethos is using a credible source such as the former President John F. Kennedy. Analyzing
JFK speech to fund NASA, I can take a look on how this 3 aspects appeal to a great persuasive
speech. To begin, John F. Kennedy s speech contains innumerable amount of Pathos that really

Ethos is an appeal to ethics, and it is a means of convincing someone of the character or
credibility of the persuader. This for one greatens the trust and reliability the audience feels hence
the effectiveness of the speech. A perfect example of this is the speaker, John F. Kennedy, the
former President of the United States. He is a great example of reliability and trust being elected
the representative of the free world. Also because of his young age at election he appeals to
majority of taxpayers around his age. President Kennedy is not the only Ethos throughout the
speech he mentions another within his speech like, ...choice which this country must make...under
the leadership of the Space Committees of the Congress. This example of Ethos mentions the
Space Committees of the Congress. A group of individuals that have been educated and are
determined to use taxpayers money efficiently and wisely. This little blurb within the speech gives
taxpayers comfort that their money is going to a reliable place. Ethos is an important aspect in
every speech because it provides credibility of the persuader furthermore, earning

After graduating from Ohio Central College, Harding tried out several careers, like teaching,
law, and the insurance business. But he did not find anything he liked until he went into the
field of journalism. Harding had actually worked on a newspaper during his college years called
Iberia Spectator. This experience helped him later in life in his journalism career. Warren G.
Harding first worked for the Marion Mirror, but his Republican views clashed with the
Democratic paper and he was fired. Later on in the year, the Marion Star went bankrupt and with
the help of his father, Harding bought out the newspaper. His newspaper was a such a success that
Warren published a weekly version of the newspaper called The Weekly

always a good thing. We see that some of these women only want to dwell in the past, to never
move forward, always hoping to move backwards instead. They are still living in the past
because the present and the future seem scary. O Connor introduces Mrs. Hopewell, the
Grandmother, and Julian s Mother who are main characters in her stories. Each of these women
believe in something that does not exist anymore. O Connor does not allow us the privilege of

The Consumer Trends Of The Students Of Coventry University...
Introduction
This empirical study looks to investigate the consumer trends of the students of Coventry
University London Campus (CULC). The aim of this study is to see what the students at CULC
prefer in terms of technology. Today a smartphone is able to do all the functions that a computer
can normally do and with the passage of time, we see the grasp of smartphones and tablets getting
firmer on our lives.
According to Ahmed (1991, p.25) a clear and strong brand image of can drastically increase the
confidence of the consumers and it can also convince the consumers to purchase the Smartphone

It helps them to better understand the customer segment that is probably the largest chunk of their
market share. They understand as to what brand is preferred by students, what their age and gender
is and most importantly, how much are they willing to spend on technology. This helps them to
make future decisions that can be vital for the company. Alongside this, it also gives them an
understanding of competition and helps them analyze how far ahead or behind the market they are
and accordingly steps can be taken in the future by the company.
For this study, we used surveys using surveymonkey.com and a sample of 66 students was taken
altogether. This sample helps us analyze the student preference for brands and the time and money
they spend on technology.
Sample
The survey that was conducted on surverymonkey.com was circulated to the students of CULC on
1st November 2014. The responses that we got were from 66 students and the pie chart below
shows the gender of the respondents:
The chart above shows us that 68.18% of the respondents were males and the remaining 31.82%
were females. Overall the responses that we got from the survey were satisfactory and they give us
a reasonable representation of the student preferences for technology here at CULC. However, we
must recognize that this sample is not an entire representation of the student body here at CULC.

Exoticism In Carmen And Benjamin Britten s Death In Venice
Ralph P. Locke s theory of musical exoticism takes form through a spectrum that ranges from pure
musical exoticism to transcultural composing. However the main requirement of exoticism is the
notion of conjuring up a specific place or group of people as being perceived as different from
the audience culture. In terms of pure exoticism, the composer willingly incorporates exotic
sounding elements in order to mark a specific group or place as foreign. Transcultural composing
is the other facet of exoticism. It is different in that it is not intended to marginalize any exotic
group, rather it is a mix of Western and non western styles. While both George Bizet s Carmen and
Benjamin Brittens Death In Venice incorporate exoticism, they each take on an opposite form of
exoticism. Bizet s use of stereotypical gypsy music, as well as the portrayal of Carmen, explicitly
marginalize and construct Carmen as different. Carmen s lack of Spanish descent and her Gypsy
ethnicity are constructed as different via musical and performative aspects of the opera. Within the
exoticism framework, Bizet s carmen is an example of pure exoticism. In contrast, Britten s Death
In Venice is an example of transcultural composing because the other being marginalized is
homosexuality, which is an identity that Britten is apart of and is not exclusive to any one group.
George Bizet s Carmen was an opera that followed a Gypsy woman named Carmen in Seville,
Spain. Carmen was characterized as being a gypsy

As the family settles into their new home the wife sees a need for a new kitchen. There is an
abandoned schoolhouse on the corner of the property that could serve for some of the wood to

Chesnutt has titled this story Po Sandy. In this story Uncle Julius tells of a strong, hardworking
slave, Sandy, that was tired of being sent away to wok for the Master s grown children. His wife
Tenie, conjure woman, places a spell on Sandy turning him into a tree. Sandy continued to have
problems in this state. Tenie decides to turn him back and run off with him one night.
Unfortunately, Tenie was sent to nurse her master s daughter in law and by the time she returned
the tree had been sent to the mill. Sandy was used to build the kitchen, that later became the old
schoolhouse at the corner of the plantation. Tenie died on the floor of that schoolhouse mourning
her husband.
This story so disturbed Annie that she refused to use any old lumber from the schoolhouse. At the
conclusion Annie also admits that she has given
Uncle Julius permission to use the old schoolhouse for meetings of the new

of his tales. This leads the reader to believe that he had this ulterior motive in mind the

Antonio Vivaldi Research Paper
Antonio Vivaldi
Antonio Vivaldi was born in Venice on March 4th of 1678. He is known primarily as an Italian
composer and rightfully so since he composed in all the major genres of the era such as opera,
concerto, and in addition educational pieces (Antonio Vivaldi , n.d.). His most popular concertos
are the four that make up The Four Seasons which were part of an even larger publication. Not
only was Vivaldi a composer, but he was also teacher and performer as well. Vivaldi lived an
extremely active life right up until his death on July 28 in 1741 (Grove Music Online Vivaldi,
Antonio, n.d.).
Vivaldi s life was interesting right from the start. On the same day as his birth, Vivaldi had an
impromptu baptism that was performed by one of the midwives. ... Show more content on

The four concerti were actually published with eight others in the Amsterdam publication Il
Cimento dell Armenia e dell invenzione, translated in English is The Trial of Harmony and

Vivaldi truly took his time composing these concerti and enjoyed every bit of the time it took
(Vivaldi s Four Seasons, n.d.). With this set of compositions Vivaldi really wanted to show that
music could depict and showcase scenes and images. The four concerti, in order, that comprise the
set are Spring, Summer, Autumn, and Winter. Each was written to showcase its specific season and
followed the expected fast slow fast movement structure of concertos at the time (Schwarm,

The Role Of Performance Enhancing Drugs In Professional...
If you are an avid sports fan and there is a chance to make superstar athletes whom you admire
much faster, stronger and better, would you be in favor of that opportunity? Performance enhancing
drugs have been a very controversial topic ever since American professional athletes introduced
them into the sports world during the 1990 s. Many athletes have experimented with these drugs
over their careers and have been tested, and ultimately caught, but does this really put the MLB in
the direction they and the fans want? Although some researchers and critics may consider
performance enhancing drugs a method of cheating, PEDs actually benefit professional leagues by
increasing fan interest, revenue, and levels of play. If performance enhancing... Show more content

Some athletes are hard workers, and others use PEDs, but players will do anything possible to
gain an advantage over their opponents. Because of this known fact, Higher level athletes are
always going to do everything they can to get an edge, to beat the competition, and extend their
shorts careers (Kolosky). Players careers are relatively short due to injury or fatigue. If players
were to use steroids, their bodies can recover from injury at a faster rate and build up more strength
to avoid fatigue. Fans may complain about how player statistics from different eras are now not
comparable, but it s important to note that historical statistics are already antiquated. Baseball has
changed over time, so records set by Babe Ruth or Roger Maris are obsolete. Rule changes
radically modified baseball at the end of the deadball era, ... Simply put, professional sports have
evolved so much over the years that it s mostly nonsense to directly compare statistics across
eras, regardless of steroid use (Smith). This implies that because of the more frequent use of
steroids among players, it is now not possible to correctly compare players from decades ago to
the modern day stars, but with of all the rule changes and defensive schemes used, it would not
be possible to compare players anyways; even without PEDs. Finally, many critics believe that
an unfair level of play is created because of the handful of innocent players but if we really want
to level the playing field, it may be time to head in the other direction, legalize performance
enhancers... Not only would the playing field suddenly be even for all players, it would be at a
higher level (Smith). A proposed solution underscores the fact that if all players used PEDs, a fair
level of play would be created and it would be at a much higher level than ever

  • 2. The Song Analysis OfHey, Jude, By Paul Mccartney Hey, Jude was written by The Beatles band member, Paul McCartney in 1970. McCartney originally titled the song as Hey, Jules as an ode to John Lennon s son Jules, who was in the forefront of his parents divorce. McCartney ultimately decided to change the title to Hey, Jude after hearing the name in a movie and liking the sound of the name. The voice of Hey, Jude is encouraging and urges Jude to not give up during hard times. Paul McCartneyacts as the persona, taking an influential role in Jude s life. Hey, Jude contains poetic elements that add to the overall effect of the song, including rhyme, symbolism, and multiple sound techniques. Paul McCartney added rhyme to Hey, Jude while coming up with the lyrics on his way to... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Multiple sound techniques are used in Hey, Jude to aide the song to take a poetic feel. McCartney, the lead singer, physically sings the song in a happy, almost encouraging manner. John, George, and Ringo, the other band members, add backup vocals to aide McCartney in bringing forth an encouraging tone. The tempo of the music is 3 beats per measure, which is moderately fast. Given that the fast tempo helps give the song an upbeat and encouraging tone, it contributes to the effect of the song. The stanzas of Hey, Jude are relatively similar in length, each having a similar rhyme scheme. The words of the song follow a pattern of stressed and unstressed syllables, which is referred to as rhythm. The rhythm greatly affects how the listener interprets that meaning. Repetition of phrases like, Hey, Jude, and, Then you can start to make it better, are used to emphasize the phrases importance in the song. The repetition allows listeners to remember the line and, because of this, is considered a way McCartney manipulated sound. McCartney used tricks within the music, like rhythm and repetition, to create a poetic feeling. The feeling the music brings forth adds to the overall effect of the song. All things considered, the comprehensive meaning of the song Hey, Jude has changed for me as I carefully listened for the McCartney s use of poetry. Paul ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. The Crisis And The Eurozone Crisis In dealing with current EU hot button topics, solutions are as many and varied as there are countries in the European Union itself. There are many aspects to a countries point of view on such issues including location, history, economy, political outlook, and so on. Because of these influences countries sharing similar histories, locations, economic standings, and etc. band together to create voting blocs in order to get their agendas pushed forward. This paper will discuss the viewpoints of Albania, Bulgaria, and Romania with respect to the refugee crisis and the Eurozone crisis as related by several meetings of representatives from each country. With the help of the United Kingdom and other countries, this wall will be replaced and construction for a new wall along the Greek border will also begin (BBM As an Alt. Route). Several policemen and the army are currently in place at the two borders (BBM As an Alt. Route), though their job is to maintain order only.. If the refugees manage to enter legally they are sent to one of three detention centers where they are met with appalling conditions: filthy surroundings, overcrowding, abject poverty, and no interpreters (BBM Legal Org). For those who enter illegally, they often experience intense violence, getting beaten, shot, and/or killed by police or even average citizens (Amnesty International). This hatred stems in part from jealousy over the plight of refugees taking away from the troubles of impoverished Bulgarians and in part from hatred of the Bulgarian Muslim/Turkish minority. When the three countries came together on this issue a bit of push back was experienced as views on the refugees range from open to unsure to closed. Albania has taken over 75,000 refugees already and they wish to take in more, but they cannot support any more people economically. At this point, their Prime Minister wishes to close their borders but they cannot afford to deploy their army and their ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

How can this information be applied in the future? If there is more data and supporting documents available that provide more precise information about the HLA incompatible kidney transplantation and its results, the technique can be practiced in future to contribute towards the increased demand on kidney supply at the end stage of renal disease, so that more patients have access to kidney on fair chances and more patients have faster access to kidney. There can be more advanced laws and acts to protect the ethical side of the transplantation. And as we know, the Middle East has been an oil rich region from the start, therefore, the whole world wangled around the Middle Eastern countries to meet their oil consumption needs by getting their hands on this natural resource. Saddam s Rule and Petrodollar era: Same was the case with Iraq, which is an oil rich country and has the second largest oil reserves on the Earth. By the end of 1970, Saddam Hussein rose to power in Iraq and established himself as its head. He did not approve of the radical islamic ideas booming in Iran and slowly making their way to Iraq and it was during this time when Iraq invaded Iran, over the disputed Shatt Al Arab waterway that divided both the countries. The US, Europe, and other countries of the Persian Oil gulf financed Iraq in this war, and crowned Saddam as The Defender of the Arab World . • 10. Adaptation Of The Film Industry Article Critique: Adaptation in the Film Industry From the very outset, it is worth noting that the article s central theme is the practice of adaptation. Adaption is used in the article to describe the practice of transforming an already existing work of art to come up with a new form of art. In essence, adaptation involves developing a new work of art (such as a film) from an existing one (such as a novel or play). The new work of art is said to have transformed or adapted the original. As such, it is inevitably referred to a reproduction or adaptation of the original. In this sense, the focus of the article is on how different artistic and literary works have been transformed into films through adaptation. It is very evident that the author of the article was very passionate about the subject of adaptation. This can be deduced from the manner in which he approaches the subject. Subsequently, it is only logical to conclude that the issue of adaptation was a very interesting one at the time the article was written. If for nothing else, then there is a high possibility that adaptation was an issue of great concern (and even a source of controversy) among people in the film industry. Otherwise there may have been come competing interests at stake. These competing interests may have pitted those opposed to adaptation and those in support. Although the article does not say for real, it is highly probable that those in the film industry supported adaptation while those in ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Newton s three laws were one every object in motion stays in motion until acted upon by force, the second is force equals mass times acceleration, and the third is to every action there is an opposite reaction. He also wrote gradational theory with the help of Kepler s previous work. He became inspired by the sight of seeing a falling apple. This got him curious and wanted to know more. He also was known for the first reflecting telescope, which allowed him to play around with the colors and prism that came from the spectrum to see. • 12. The Methodical Approach Of A Doctoral Program As a graduate student choosing a research design on a research topic is very important to the completion of a doctoral program. Often times as research students they struggle with the research process in which they require additional help or assistance on a chosen topic. Many students depend upon their instructors and the additional assistance of the school library and the dissertation center. In choosing a subject to complete researchone of the most important factors is the methodical approach in which will be sought in the research process. (Vankatesh, Brown, Bala, 2013). The methodical approach implied provides assistance in examining, whether the information researched was initiated and properly researched. When the researched information has been proven the outcome becomes more prominent and reliable in other research subjects. This is important because it shows the value of the research as well as its reliability and predictability. When a researcher applies the proper methodology and research design the comparison among fact and theory can be verified and it will also provide the researcher ethic procedures needed for the research to be achieved (Vankatesh, Brown, Bala, 2013). The researched information will give the strength and weaknesses of an envisioned research design and method that will be used on the discussion of the effects of marketing on social media websites. Justification for the method and design will also be provided. The avid need for businesses to ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The Diversity Myth Essay The Diversity Myth The idea that diversity is one of the country s great strengths is now so firmly rooted that virtually anyone can evoke it, praise it, and wallow in it without fear of contradiction. It has become one of the great unassailably American ideas, like democracy, patriotism, the family, or Martin Luther King. The President of the United States glories in diversity. In May, 1995, in a message recognizing the Mexican holiday, Cinco de Mayo, William Clinton said, The Fifth of May offers all of us a chance to celebrate the cultural diversity that helps to make our nation great. Nevertheless there is one kind of diversity that is an advantage. A contractor, for example, cannot build houses if he hires only electricians. He needs carpenters, plumbers, etc. a diverse work force. However, functional diversity of this kind is not what the Chief Executive is on about. He is talking about largely non functional differences like race, language, age, sex, culture and even whether someone is homosexual. One might call this status diversity. What advantages would a contractor get from a mixed work force of that kind? None. What are the advantages the United States gets from a racially mixed population? None. The idea that status diversity is a strength is not merely a myth, but a particularly transparent one. Explaining why diversity is bad for a country is a little like explaining why cholera is bad for it; the trick is to understand how anyone could possibly think it was good. In fact, diversity became a strength after the fact. It became necessary to believe in it because skepticism would be racist. Otherwise intelligent people began to mouth nonsense about diversity only because of the blinding power of the race taboo. • 45. Exoticism In Carmen And Benjamin Britten s Death In Venice Ralph P. Locke s theory of musical exoticism takes form through a spectrum that ranges from pure musical exoticism to transcultural composing. However the main requirement of exoticism is the notion of conjuring up a specific place or group of people as being perceived as different from the audience culture. In terms of pure exoticism, the composer willingly incorporates exotic sounding elements in order to mark a specific group or place as foreign. Transcultural composing is the other facet of exoticism. It is different in that it is not intended to marginalize any exotic group, rather it is a mix of Western and non western styles. While both George Bizet s Carmen and Benjamin Brittens Death In Venice incorporate exoticism, they each take on an opposite form of exoticism. Bizet s use of stereotypical gypsy music, as well as the portrayal of Carmen, explicitly marginalize and construct Carmen as different. Carmen s lack of Spanish descent and her Gypsy ethnicity are constructed as different via musical and performative aspects of the opera. Within the exoticism framework, Bizet s carmen is an example of pure exoticism. In contrast, Britten s Death In Venice is an example of transcultural composing because the other being marginalized is homosexuality, which is an identity that Britten is apart of and is not exclusive to any one group. If you are an avid sports fan and there is a chance to make superstar athletes whom you admire much faster, stronger and better, would you be in favor of that opportunity? If performance enhancing... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Some athletes are hard workers, and others use PEDs, but players will do anything possible to gain an advantage over their opponents. Because of this known fact, Higher level athletes are always going to do everything they can to get an edge, to beat the competition, and extend their shorts careers (Kolosky). Players careers are relatively short due to injury or fatigue. If players were to use steroids, their bodies can recover from injury at a faster rate and build up more strength to avoid fatigue. Fans may complain about how player statistics from different eras are now not comparable, but it s important to note that historical statistics are already antiquated. Baseball has changed over time, so records set by Babe Ruth or Roger Maris are obsolete. Rule changes radically modified baseball at the end of the deadball era, ... Simply put, professional sports have evolved so much over the years that it s mostly nonsense to directly compare statistics across eras, regardless of steroid use (Smith). This implies that because of the more frequent use of steroids among players, it is now not possible to correctly compare players from decades ago to the modern day stars, but with of all the rule changes and defensive schemes used, it would not be possible to compare players anyways; even without PEDs. Finally, many critics believe that an unfair level of play is created because of the handful of innocent players but if we really want to level the playing field, it may be time to head in the other direction, legalize performance enhancers... Not only would the playing field suddenly be even for all players, it would be at a higher level (Smith). A proposed solution underscores the fact that if all players used PEDs, a fair level of play would be created and it would be at a much higher level than ever ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
