2. Firstly, I opened Indesign and selected a three column
arrangement as was what I needed for my contents page
layout.
3. Secondly, I selected the rectangle tool to create two boxes for my
text and then changed them to red so they would match my
colour scheme. I added the ‘regular contents’ to show the
audience that it is a contents page. I then created my masthead
again with the text tool, however in a smaller size. After that I
then added my text to the bottom coloured box, this was just
some text to get the reader to subscribe to my magazine.
4. Next, I used the rectangle tool again to select five
more boxes and changed the colour to black to also
match my colour scheme. I then selected the text
tool and added in the text for the ‘headings’ for all of
the information that will be on the page.
5. Next, I began to add in the text underneath the headings to show
what will be included inside the magazine and what pages
everything will be placed. All of this text includes different features
that will be included in the magazine. Also, the regular contents and
everything that will regularly be in the magazine. This also includes
the editors letter, which introduces the magazine as it is the first
issue.
6. Next, I added the images on my contents page as
they correlate with the features on the contents.
The colours on the images of the band match my
colour scheme and they stand out as they are
bright.
7. This is my final product of my
contents page. I did also add
on the date that the magazine
would be released as well.
