1. This is the first page of my contents
page. I used Quark Xpress to create this.
2. I first added a
coloured
background to my
contents page. I
used the colour
Pantone grey which I
also used on my
double page spread.
3. I then went on to add my masthead.
The font I used for my masthead
was Bell sans STD.
4. I then added the website of my
magazine to the top right hand
corner and the issue number and
price all establishing magazines do
this.
5. I then added shapes to
my contents page with
the names of the images
and artists I used to
show the reader who
the image is of.
6. I then added circular shapes
and added my images also. I
done this so that my
magazine would look
individual and look more
represent able to a ‘Indie’
style magazine.
7. I then went on to
add text above my
images stating
‘contents’ as all
contents pages
need to be
recognised as a
actual ‘contents’
page.
8. I then added to my
magazine coloured
rectangle boxes saying
regular and features to add
my text so that my reader
knows that its either a
feature or a regular content.
9. I then added my
text to my
magazine showing
what content is
inside. I then
added registration
red number to my
content so that
my reader knows
which page they
will find the
article.
10. Finally, I added to the
bottom of my page
the name of my
magazine an the page
number.
