TO MY PRESENTATION
 First of all I want to say Bangladesh is a land of festival . During
hole year here festivals comes one after one & all of us enjoy-
celebrate that festivals.
 One thing is special in Bangladesh . Many of religious festival are
celebrated & those festivals celebrated by all the peoples of all
religious . There is a verse in Bangla about it “ ধর্ম যার যার উৎসব সবার “.
The advent of bangali new year is gaily observed throughout the
country.The day mid april is a public holyday.Most colorful day
long gatherings along with arrangement of cultural program and
traditional pantaat Ramana park,Dhaka is a special feature of
pahela baishakh.Turnaments,boat races etc. are held in cities and
villages amidst great jubilation.Many fairs are held in Dhaka and
other towns and villages.
The biggest muslim festival observed
throuthout the world . This is held on the day
following the Ramadan or the month of
fasting.In Dhaka big congregations are held at
the national eidgah and many Mosque.The
biggest eid jamat held in Solakia moidan,in
Kishorganj district.
EID-UL-FITR
Second biggest festival of the muslims.It is held marking
the hajj in mecca on the 10th zilhaj,the lunar month.Eid
congregations are held throughout the country.Animals
are sacrificed in reminiscence of Hazrat Ibrahim’s [AM].
Preparedness for the supreme of his beloved son to
Allah.It is a public holyday.
Muharram procession is a ceremonial mournful procession
of muslim community.A large procession is brought out
from the Hussaini dalan Imambara on 10th Muharram in
memory of the tragic martyrdom of Islam Hossain [RA] on
this at Karbala in Iraq.Some observation are made else where
in the country.
Durga puja, the biggest festival of the Hindu community
continoues for ten days,the last three days beings
calmination with the idol immersed in rivers.In Dhaka the
big celebration are held at Dhakeswari temple,where a fair
is also held and at the Ram Krishna Mission.
Vesākha (Pali; Sanskrit: Vaiśākha), also known as Buddha
Purnima and Buddha Day, is a holiday observed traditionally by Buddhists on
different days in India, Sri-
Lanka, Nepal, Tibet, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Indonesia, Philippines, Singapore,Viet
nam, Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, Malaysia and Myanmar and in other places all
over the world. Sometimes informally called "Buddha's Birthday", it actually
commemorates the birth, enlightenment (nirvāna), and death (Parinirvāna)
of Gautama Buddha in the Theravada or southern tradition.
