3. FESTIVLE IN BANGLADESH
• Festivles have always played a significant role in the life of
the people of Bangladesh.
• Those are parts and percels of Bangalee culture and tradition.

4. FESTIVLE IN BANGLADESH
• The main festivle of Bangladesh are:
• Pohela Boishakh.
• Pohela Falgun.
• Nobanno. Etc.

5. POHELA BOISHAKH
• Pohela Boishakh is the first day of the Bengali calendar.
• It is celebrated on 14 April.
• This day started Rabindranath Tagore song “Echo he Baishakh”
by Chhayanat Under the banyan tree at Ramna.

6. POHELA BOISHAKH
• Panta lliish a Popular dish of the Pohela Boishakh festival.
• An integral part of the festival is Mongol Shobhajatra.
• Organised by the students of the Faculty of the Fine Arts.
University of Dhaka.

7. POHELA FALGUN
• Pohela Falgun is the first day of Spring of Bengali month Falgun
of the Bengali Calender.
• This day is marked with colourful celebration and traditionally
• Women wear yellow saris to celebrate this day.

8. NOBANNO
• Nobanno is a Bengali harvest celebration in Bangladesh.
• It is a festival of food: many local preparations of Bengali Cuisine
like pithe are cooked and offered.
• The festival is celebrated with mela called nobanno mela.
• It is a numerous festival gave the name “baro mase tero parbon”.

• Eid ul fitr is celebrates for one,two or three days.

• Saraswati Puja. etc

13. DURGA PUJA
• Durga puja is celebrates for five days.
• It is one of the biggest religious festivals of the people of Hindu.
• Durga puja is celebrated in Bangladesh and other country such
as India and Nepal

• Buddha Purnima
• Madhu Purnima
• Kathin Chibardan

15. BUDDHA PURNIMA
• Buddha Purnima means that Buddhas Birthday.
• It is celebrated in baishakh month of the Buddhist calender.
• This day celebrated the people of Bangladesh and other country
such as China, Japan, korea, Vietnam. Etc.

17. BORO DIN
• On this day,Christians in Bangladesh give gifts and cards to each
other.
• People of Christians attending prayer in Church.
• Churches are decorated with small paper triangles.
• Christans visit Churches and celebrates this day.
