Developing Community Tourism Businesses as part of the Tour Operator Supply C...Wild Asia
This presentation is about incorporating sustainable practices that empower local communities into tour operator supply chains. The tour operator working directly with its foundation, is working directly with communities to empower underserved women and youth to access market-driven approaches to create sustainable businesses. There is often a resource gap between non-profit organizations and blended-social purpose businesses that are attempting to benefit the communities in which they work. Without a strong market, these non-profits or community tourism projects often fold and fail. However, when partnered with a for-profit operator, tourism businesses have one of the greatest reaches and spread to provide opportunity for marginalized communities, and allow social enterprises to scale, access knowledge transfer, and develop their first revenue generating programs.

Finding The Social In Fundraising: AFP Northern New England Keynote AddressDebra Askanase
Millennials are cultural and technological influencers, and their adoption of technology has fueled the social web, along with everything we do with it, including fundraising. In this keynote presentation, I look at what the development of tech platforms, coupled with the rise of social citizens, tells us about how donors, fundraisers and other stakeholders want to utilize social communication for fundraising. The presentation looks carefully at people, media, and expectations of nonprofit behavior, and how what we do today as nonprofits must be social. Lastly, I consider: what does an organization need to do now, to support social media fundraising as new communications media matures?
The Exquisite Safaris philanthropic mission integrates a guided visit to a humanitarian outreach project into every private, luxury, epicurean experience we create. These personal introductions create authentic cross cultural friendships that generate trust, respect, and generous donations funding philanthropic travel projects worldwide.

The story of Change Day - a learning report 2013
The purpose of this report is to explore what can be learned from NHS Change Day 2013. Its intent is to summarise the lessons described by those who took part in NHS Change Day; it is not a formal or independent evaluation. The report offers a narrative of what happened, explores the
ways in which people led and pledged their support of NHS Change Day, highlights lessons learned, and discusses the strengths and challenges of this approach. The report draws on interviews with core leaders, clinical and non-clinical staff, the NHS Change Day website and a catalogue of materials. It describes the immediate and ongoing impact of NHS Change Day through examples and stories that raise strategic questions for those involved in future Change Days and similar efforts.
This document describes work undertaken by NHS Kidney Care around young people with kidney disease, and the issues faced by their families and carers. The emergent themes have significant alignment with current NHS Improving Quality and NHS England national programmes, including Long Term Conditions, Experience of Care, Transition from Paediatric to Adult Services and Living Longer Lives.

I recently won a Finalist Award in Africa’s Most Influential Women in Business and Government Programme. For this, I am immensely grateful. The 2014 awards, hosted by CEO Communications, received 9000 entries from 34 African countries.
The Award made me think about the overall impact of women in business. I looked at examples of women who achieve inspirational things. And I asked myself this question:
What legacy can we create through the influence we have each and every day?
For the first time in history, there are four generations involved in philanthropy: Traditionalists, Baby Boomers, Gen X and Gen Y (Millenials). Although each generation is philanthropic, they have individual preferences for how they are engaged by nonprofits. This session will demonstrate how important it is to create lifetime givers by reaching out to the younger generations (under age 40) now as well as define the key characteristics of the four currents generations and their habits for charitable giving. Nonprofit professionals will learn strategic entry points to successfully engage these younger generations in philanthropy, both as donors and in the multigenerational development office. Ultimately, today’s annual donors are tomorrow’s major donors; we need to cultivate them today.
The nonprofit sector is seeing a number of emerging resources on the transfer of wealth happening among generations that will impact philanthropy and how to fundraise from next generation givers. Is your organization ready to work side-by-side with multi-generational staff, board members, and other volunteers to leverage these gifts? This session will focus on how to better work with multiple generations within your organization to raise dollars from donors and funders of all kinds. Join Emily Davis, next generation philanthropy’s thought leader and author of Fundraising and the Next Generation to:
• Identify challenges and benefits of having four generations in philanthropy.
• Learn about similarities and differences in multi-generational fundraising communications.
• Gain specific strategies to fundraise from and with the next generation of donors.

"It takes a village... (to raise a Geekette)" was a keynote for the Womenize (http://womenize.de/) event in Berlin. I tried to answer the questions of value of networks and groups, and how to utilize them as individuals and companies, and what all that has to do with diveristy.

Wells Fargo Targets Diversity Then 'Funds A Giant Bag of Status Quo.' What I ...Hilary Overcash
“Watch” says Wells Fargo “as Five Small Businesses take the next step.” When it came time to put their money where their corporate mouth was, NO ‘female or minority owned business’ took this next step. Surprising? Yes, it's quite a turn around how the bank forgot about the very demographic it targeted for this contest. ..

On May 7, 2019 way high up in the cool SAP Event space above the Hudson Yards overlooking the Hudson and the entire West Side of Manhattan was an event called “Rogue Women.” Conceived and produced by Rogue Venture Partners and VentureFuel, Rogue Women’s mission was to “celebrate, connect with, and learn from the trailblazing women who go rogue to forge new paths and make the impossible, possible.”
For the (very) fortunate 150 women who attended, it was a new venture that garnered incredibly positive feedback for overdelivering on its promise to connect women in business.
For all those who were not there, below are our ROGUE WOMEN LEARNINGS.
A brief powerpoint that explains the how, what, where, when, and why -- and Global Reach Out's place in the world today.
This powerpoint presentation helps explains the reason behind GRO and its delegation process with two different programs (spring break and winter/summer). You will also learn about GRO's long term goals, strengths, and challenges.

today’s business culture we need to reach out to one another to brainstorm, share,
learn, cultivate friendships and YES even help a fellow competitor!
There have been many times during my real estate career that I encountered a
situation where a woman could have helped another woman in her field grow
professionally but she was unwilling to share her experience - what that woman
neglected to see is that her decision, stunted her growth. Simply being open enough
to share ideas, plans, thoughts, and the best of you allows YOU to grow!
I deeply believe in the mindset that what you give will be returned to you many
times over. I have experienced this within my own career for over 16 years. Anytime
I have given time, knowledge or just simple support, the favor was returned many
times over (not necessarily from the same person I shared with or supported but
Karma works in wonderful ways).
NOW, take a moment and imagine a group of women who are driven, passionate,
caring and dedicated to helping one another SUCCEED…. We are actively looking for
members who will enjoy and help our culture explode! Are you one of us? Look no
further, Femfessionals is where YOU belong!!
