1. Focus Group Feedback Questionnaire This slideshow will include answers and quotes from the audience that watched our film opening.
2. What type of film do you think it is? “ I think it was a thriller” I wasn’t really sure but it could have been a thriller or maybe a mild horror” “ What I saw looked like it could be a romantic film because of the music” 49% actually said it is a thriller when they watched it.
4. What were the film's technical strengths? “ The titles fit in well with the film” “ The shot transitions flow well together and help make the film flow” “ I thought that the location choices were good and the way that the outside location shots were framed” “ The music starts and ends at appropriate points and it fades in well”
5. What were the film's technical weaknesses? “ The framing of the board shots were out of place” “ At some points the camera wasn’t held steady and I wasn’t sure if this was for effect or an error” “ I felt that the production company appear too quickly” “ I don’t think that enough of the background story was shown so it may not have gripped the audience as well as it could”

How? “ Yes, because I wanted to know what had happened to the character” “ I don’t think there was enough mysteriousness behind the opening to make it thrilling” “ It did in a way but I think it could have been more thrilling by adding in extra information” 36% of the audience said it thrilled them. “ I think the framing let it down because it doesn’t look realistic enough”

Were the titles successful in introducing the film? “ I think that the way Simply Twisted was made was good in helping to establish the genre” “ The titles were good but I think that there could have been more” “ They were a bit vague and real films would have more titles” “ The titles fit well with the music and shot transitions” 56% of the audience thought titles were successful.

What would you do to improve the film? “ I think that the character should have looked a little but more solemn because she has a dark secret” “ The locations could have been more mysterious” “ Make sure that the framing is realistic in each shot” “ By keeping the camera steady unless it is needed for effect” “ I think that there could have been more titles” “ There could have been some more subtle indications as to what the rest of the film was about”
12. Overall I think that if we were to do this project again, we should make sure that the framing is suitable, we have an appropriate amount of titles and ensure that the technical and mise-en-scene aspects of the video were accurate and fit into the conventions of the genre chosen. Summary. . .
