The preschool class will spend the week exploring the topic of pets through various learning centers and activities each day, including looking at photos of pets in the library, drawing pictures of classroom pets in art, and reading books about pets in blocks. The teachers will lead daily discussions about what the children know about pets and where they can be seen near the school. Throughout the week the class will focus on letter and word recognition skills as well as science inquiry and observation.
