Fate In Romeo And Juliet Essay
Crafting an essay on the theme of fate in Shakespeare's "Romeo and Juliet" is undeniably
challenging. The intricacies of the play, the depth of the characters, and the profound exploration
of destiny make it a complex subject to dissect and analyze.
To begin with, one must grapple with the multifaceted nature of fate as portrayed in the play.
Shakespeare weaves a narrative where destiny is both a guiding force and a malevolent
puppeteer. Untangling these threads requires a keen understanding of the characters' motivations,
the cultural context of the time, and an appreciation for the literary devices employed by the
playwright.
Moreover, delving into the philosophical aspects of fate demands a careful examination of the
characters' agency versus predestination. How much control do Romeo and Juliet truly have over
their lives, and to what extent are their choices influenced by external factors? Addressing these
questions requires a nuanced exploration of the text, requiring a deep dive into the nuances of
Shakespearean language and dramatic techniques.
The essay must also navigate the interplay between fate and free will, drawing on critical
interpretations and scholarly insights. Analyzing various perspectives on the role of fate in the
tragic outcome of the play adds layers of complexity to the writing process. Constructing a
coherent argument while acknowledging the multitude of interpretations demands meticulous
research and thoughtful engagement with the source material.
Additionally, the essay writer must be adept at weaving together textual evidence, critical
analyses, and personal insights into a seamless narrative. Synthesizing complex ideas and
presenting them in a cohesive manner is no small feat, particularly when dealing with a topic as
rich and multifaceted as fate in "Romeo and Juliet."
In conclusion, tackling an essay on the theme of fate in "Romeo and Juliet" is an intellectually
demanding task. It requires a deep understanding of the play, a keen analytical eye, and the
ability to navigate the intricacies of philosophical discussions surrounding fate and free will.

The Representation Of The Housewife In Popular Culture
The representation of the housewife in popular culture has long been perpetuated
through various forms of media such as film, television and commercial advertising.
Advertisements depicting women within the domestic sphere were prevalent long
before the turn of the twenty first century and were instrumental in internalising the
notion of domestic space.
The term housewife became widely popular in the 1950 s, created as a positive
and recuperative result of the postwar era. The introduction of television shows
such as The Donna Reed Show, I Love Lucy and Leave it to Beaver established
women firmly within a domestic realm. Portrayed solely as wives, mothers and
home makers. In particular the widely popular show I Love Lucy is an important
example ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
However in spite of the changing outlooks, the repetitious nature of the life of a
housewife still remains relevant in popular culture today as the ties between
domesticity and the housewife have long been evident. The writing of professor
Laura J. Miller often explores these connections and she states that many Americans
believed that the suburbs were the most promising place for the family to flourish, but
often led to the isolation of the housewife from larger society. The trend of
portraying the happy housewife amongst Hollywood films during the 1960 s
attempted to address some of the issues of the discontentment of women, however
ultimately still cemented their image as being trapped in domestic isolation. A
particular example of this is the film The Thrill of It All that was released in the
1963, just a few months after the publication of Freidan s The Feminine Mystique.
Whilst still adhering to the conventional model of the housewife the film touched on
some of the issues surrounding a women s place within the home that were
becoming prevalent around this time. Beverly Boyer played by Doris Day is
portrayed at the beginning of the film as being the perfect wife and

background 1.1 Summary That performed laboratory session on bending moments
and shear forces requires good understanding and sufficient knowledge of axial
forces. Bending is defined as a behavior of any structural element that undergoes the
external load, which is applied perpendicularly to longitudinal axis. That experiment
helps us to find the maximum load that can be applied to the beam with rectangular
cross section. Moments are calculated by using statics theory, or multiplying
perpendicularly directed load by the respective distance to the pivot point. 1.2

Thar resulted in the maximum bending moment occurred. Moment was calculated in
the same manner as in the previous example with only the difference in direction
for positive moment. ∑MR1(left)= ∑MR1(right) ; R1*0.2 P2*0.34=(R2
P3)*0.24; The resultant bending moment was found to be maximum at the point
where shear forces are minimal and thus equals to approximately +0.3856 N.m
Regarding the moment about the cut, here our group was able to find the minimum
difference between the measured and calculated values applying the same formulas
and assumptions. The resultant moment was calculated to be 0.225N.m , which is
approximately 3% difference and thus can be neglected. It is clear from the
bending moment diagram that there is a point except ends where bending moment
equals to zero. Such a point have a different of bending moment on its two sides
(left and right) is known as a point of contra flexture. It can be easily found by using
moment equation about that point and equate it to zero. Taking that reference point
as X , we obtain: ∑MX(left)= ∑MX(right); 5.26*(X 0.14) = 1.962*X Thus the
point of contra flexture for those specific loads equals 0.223m or 223mm from P1

Satanic Cults In The Late 1900s
During the late 1960s stories of satanic cults and abuse became common. These
tales included mutilation of animals and humans under the full moon at places
dedicated to Satan. The stories featured robes, candles, knives, alters and other
Satanic accoutrements. Prominent news and entertainment figures reported the
stories as fact. The Satanic stories became so numerous the FBI formed a task
force to investigate satanic cults and abuse. Satanic Activity Satanic activity is
thought to have occurred through the ages. It s common for groups outside the
norm to be accused of practicing satanic rituals. Any group could direct these
allegations toward anyone they wanted to demonize. Fictional Literature In the
late 60s a series of books with Satanic overtones became popular and made into
popular films. Rosemary s Baby by Ira Levin in 1967 was the first of these big
bestsellers. The Exorcist by William Blatty followed in 1971, and The Amityville
Horror by Jay Anson in 1977. All were all huge bestsellers and hit movies. The first
two were fiction, but The Amityville Horror claimed to be true, even though there
were portions of the book that are inconsistent or nonexistent with police records.
Other books with satanistic themes that followed and these books set the tone for
satanic abuse allegations. Michelle Smith In 1980 Michelle Smith co wrote the book
that triggered the modern Satanic abuse era. Canadian Lawrence Pazder was Smith s

Should university education be free for all students?
Free education refers to education that is funded through taxation or charitable
organizations rather than tuition funding . This essay will focus on China s
educational policy. In China, there are nearly 200 million people living under the
poverty line , and education is a tough problem for those people struggling to survive.
This essay will present the background of Chinese education and examine some of
the advantages of free university education, such as improving social mobility,
solving potential social problems and contributing to the economic development of
China. Comparisons will also be made between China and some developed countries.
The present situation of education and these advantages suggest that we are in urgent
need of adjusting our education policy and setting university education free of charge.
In 1986, the Chinese government passed a compulsory education law, ... Show more

The preceding paragraphs show some of the advantages of free university education.
To start with, more students can receive university education and they can earn
more money than before, which will take them to a higher class and greatly increase
social mobility. People can change their family conditions through hard work and
then the gap between the rich and the poor will decrease. As a consequence, crimes
resulting from poverty will reduce and some potential social problems will be solved.
In terms of the economy, free university education creates more technology talents,
changing the economic growth mode from labor intensive to technology intensive.
These advantages above prove that free university education will lead to an
organized and happiness society and conduct faster economic development in China.
The government should work on it and try its best to carry out the policy as early as

Introduction Wellness requires a balance between mental health and physical health.
Researching the effect between exercise behaviors and physical self esteem on
eating behaviors looks at one facet of this relationship. Exercise behaviors that will
be looked at will take into account intensity of exercise, exercise frequency, and
motivations for exercise. Self esteem is multifaceted, but focusing on physical self
esteem pinpoints the physical appearance factors. Eating behaviors will be defined as
the presence of significant eating disorder symptomology further detailed in the

Individuals who have appearance driven motivation for exercise experience a more
negative body image (O Hara, Cox, Amorose, 2014). Health centered motivations
make it less likely for an individual to objectify themselves (O Hara, Cox, Amorose,
2014). Self objectification is an indicator of body dissatisfaction (Stuart, Trepp,
Kuhle, Slaugh, Murtaugh, 2015). One common measurement used to assess body
dissatisfaction is a somatotype scale test. The distance between what an individual
deems to be an ideal somatotype and the somatotype they identify themselves as
having represents their body image. A higher difference in the identified somatotypes
indicates a lower body image. A causation relationship has not been established, but a
lower body image is associated with disorded eating behaviors (Ferreria, Pinto
Gouveia, Duarte, 2013; Stuart, Trepp, Kuhle, Slaugh, Murtaugh, 2015). This
connection has been commonly addressed during treatment sessions for eating
disorders. Additionally to further enhance treatment, it has more recently been seen
that amount of exercise is no longer related to body image when motivation has been
taken into account within a non eating disorder population (Holland, Brown, Keel,
2014). Proving that this same relationship exists within an eating disorder population
may change treatment tactics. It would allow focus during exercise therapy to shift
from controlling the amount of
The Disposal Methods Of Medical, Electronic, And
Hazardous...
In order to maintain a high quality of life, we must address the importance of
managing waste disposal. Waste disposal refers to the proper recycling and jettison
of discarded or discharged material. There are different methods of handling
unwanted products that have reached their end of life. Logistics plays an important
role in the disposal of these materials. Therefore, the purpose of this paper is to
explore the disposal methods of medical, electronic, and hazardous waste.
On average there are over 3.5 million tons of medical waste generated per year by
the United States alone, according to reports in 2004. Medical waste, as classified
by the World Health Organization, is waste that is generated in the diagnosis,
treatment, or immunization of human beings or animals. If not properly disposed
of, medical waste can cause risks for the healthcare personnel as well as the public.
Logistics pays a role in planning, managing, and controlling the flow of medical
waste until it is properly disposed of. Medical waste is segregated before disposal
into different color bins and bags. The correct method of storage is also important.
There is also a need for proper labeling, especially if the waste is hazardous.
The Medical Waste Management Program was established to protect the public and
environment from potentially infectious diseases. According to the California
Department of Public Health, the program regulates the generation, handling, storage,
treatment, and disposal of
The Effects Of Sexual Offending On Adult Offenders
Introduction Most research on sexual offending focuses on adult offenders, however,
juveniles also engage in such behaviors. Official records indicate that juveniles are
responsible for 17 to 20 percent of all sexual crimes, except prostitution, and victim
reports, as well as, youth self reports suggest even higher rates of juvenile sexual
offending (Letourneau Borduin, 2008). Although it remains clear that there is no
specific cure for sex offenders, various treatment programs and punishments have
been put in place as remedies to limit sex offending (Letourneau Borduin, 2008). The
following provides further insight on the most common treatment programs being
utilized for juvenile sexual offenders today: cognitive behavioral treatment programs
(Terry, 2006). Main Body Cognitive Behavioral Treatment As scholars began to
recognize the prevalence of cognitive distortions, such as, denial, minimization, etc.,
amongst sex offenders, cognitive behavioral treatment programs surfaced during the
1970 s as a means to overcome such distortions (Terry, 2006). Cognitive behavioral
treatment was the first multimodal treatment utilized for sex offenders to address
their cognitive, social, and behavioral issues (Terry, 2006). More precisely, these
programs involve a problem focused approach that aids offenders in identifying and
changing their faulty beliefs, thoughts, and patterns of behavior that led to their
offense (Letourneau Borduin, 2008). This form of treatment
Mobile Phones And The Cell Phone Industry
Introduction The cell phone industry, like the internet, is one of the fastest and ever
developing industries. Since 1994, the production of cell phones has increased from
24 million to 182 million in wireless phone apparatuses. With 162 million
established cell phone users in the United States the cell phone market is rapidly
increasing . This rapid increase is due to the current and ongoing development of
technology and innovation in perfecting the cell phone. Throughout the history of the
cell phone industries collaborations have arose in order to stay lucrative in the fast
changing field. Worldwide wireless companies have been compelled to collaborate.
This collaboration is due to a wide array of reasons that all relate to the firm s
attempts to stay lucrative. Wireless companies have the tendency to acquire market
share via both products and accessories. When these companies merge they can then
share their markets and products and offer a superior service. Without working
together smaller wireless companies at times fall victim to what is known as
predation. Therefore, collaboration is necessary within the cell phone industry to
maintain profits and increase assets. One of the ways that cell phone companies
maintain profits and increase assets is through the addition of new and emerging
technologies to cell phones. Considering that computers and the Internet are highly
sought after, the wireless companies incorporate access to fast speed Internet through

Essay on Generation Gap
How many times have you felt that your parents don t understand you, that they
have no respect for you as an individual? How often do you shake your head in
frustration and blame it on the generation gap ? Parents! They are like aliens from
another planet altogether! You and they are in different camps; strangers forced to
live under the same roof Right? Wrong! There is a way of bridging what appears to
be a yawning chasm. If you genuinely want to improve your relationship with your

Generation gap means difference in attitude, or lack of understanding between
younger and older generation. This generation gap has always been there but these
days it has reached to an explosive stage. The values and patterns of life have
changed to a great extent. Today, everybody likes to live and behave in his own way.
This attitude has widened the generation gap, which can never be filled. It is now
destroying family life completely. The elders look after the children and make all
sorts of sacrifices to bring them up. Naturally, they feel they have a right over them.
They want their children to follow their instructions as they have certain expectations
from them. But the children, when they grow up, want a complete freedom in their
thoughts and actions and unfortunately their thoughts and actions are just opposite to
those expected by the elders. They revolt when any kind of restrictions are imposed
on them. Consequently, the family breaks up and everything gets ruined.
In India, we are yet in the initial stages, but the gap has appeared and it is going to
grow bigger day by day. So it is not only the responsibility of the younger but also of
the elders to fill this gap with their love, affection and trust. The

adolescents as they come of age throughout the novel. In the former, Alexie writes
about Junior s struggle to come to terms with both his place in his Native American
heritage and his new found home in an all white school. The later contains the story
of a young Hispanic girl striving to defy the gender roles set in place by her family
and society. The role of society in both of these books, plays a key role in how their
respective main characters view themselves and their names. In The Absolutely True
Diary of a Part Time Indian and The House on Mango Street the characters struggle
with an identity crisis relating to their names, and the stereotypes that are associated
with them.

Descriptive Essay About Mexico
Mexico is an astonishing place full of adventures awaiting to be found by people
that are willing to visit. It s a very large country that consists of vast subregions that
offer different climate, vegetation, and overall feel depending where you are.
Mexico is very prepossessing, the cities and culture are what makes this country so
astounding to visit as I did. I last visited Mexicoon a cruise in the summer of 2015,
and the cruise made its voyage toward the destination of Mexico. The first stop was
Progreso, and it s a marvelous city on the northern tip of the Yucatan peninsula of
Mexico. It offers a rich history and great views for people to enjoy. Docking in the
long white concrete port, I saw miles and miles of the dark blue ocean, it looked
just like the clear blue sky, waves gently struck the vessel. The town boasts a
population of about 50,000 people, which makes this city not a largely populated
city, but a favorable size that makes it impeccable for travelers of all kinds. This is
a great spot for people to relish in without having to encounter the busy city life like
the ones back home. Progreso s battered streets offer character that other places can
t provide. Winding through these narrow streets are many people trying to make a
living of their own. As the streets go farther and farther, they eventually lead up into
a tropical environment that is like it s out of a movie scene. There s hefty, green, and
lush tropical trees that give a very soothing feeling

The Everyday Is Important For Sociological Research
This essay will argue that the setting of the everyday is important for sociological
research. Through its investigation it becomes evident how various types of social
structures and institutions have an ability to influence behaviours and emotions of
individuals. The sociological research of the everyday covers a diverse range of
theories, as individuals live and conduct themselves by various standards, contexts,
and structures (Heller, 1984, p. 3), and it is this kind of interaction that is taken for
granted and thus in need of exploration. It is through the examination of the
socialisation occurring in the everyday between individuals, institutions, rules, and
culture, that it becomes evident that the obvious is often not so obvious (Newman et
al., 2013). This essay utilises the sociological imagination to express this importance
of the everyday through the exploration of three aspects of socialisation, these being
employment, mass media, and social deviance. It is these kinds of socialisations
occurring in the everyday that illustrate how social structures and institutions
influence behaviours and emotions, and hence also prove the everyday as an
important setting for sociological research.
Have you ever wondered whether your thoughts and feelings are your own?

The Role Of Sports Coach A Good Leader
An important role of a sports coach is to be a motivator. A motivator is someone
who encourages and creates an incentive for someone, such as a performer, to do
well. A motivator may prompt a performer by emphasising their progress in a
positive way such as praising them on a good performance therefore inspiring them
to want to do well again. An example of a motivator would be Kelly Holmes. Not
only has she achieved gold in both the 1400m and the 800m in the 2004 Athens
Olympics but she has set up the Dame Kelly Holmes Trust which engages with more
than 3,000 vulnerable young people aged between 16 and 25 and provide them with a

Responsibilities
Management and planning:
A coach has a lot of aspect to manage and plan, from equipment and the facility to
transport and competitions.
Many sport accidents occur as a result of activities taking place in unsafe or
inappropriate facilities. Learning to recognize potentially dangerous situations is
therefore an important responsibility for any coach. Prior to the start of the season
the coach should ensure that the facility meets minimum safety standards and also
plan that the facility should be inspected regularly and maintained in safe condition.
A coach should also undertake an accurate equipment inventory at the start of the

Judicial Waiver, And Statutory Exclusion
Judicial waiver, direct files, and statutory exclusion are the three mechanisms used to
transfer juvenile offenders to adult criminal court. Although direct files and statutory
exclusion are used from time to time, it is judicial waiver that is used in most
juvenile transfer cases. Judicial waiver is the most common mechanism used and it
gives juvenile court judges the authority to table certain juvenile cases to the adult
criminal court. In the last few decades, 48 states, including District of Columbia, have
gained the authority to waive juveniles to criminal court. 37 states have the authority
to use statutory exclusion which orders juvenile prosecutions in adult courts. The last
mechanism is direct files and 10 states approve of it as a mean to transfer juveniles to
criminal courts by warranting the prosecution the power to charge the juvenile as an
adult. These three mechanisms differ due to the level of discretion that each provides
to the courts and actors of the courts. One gives the discretion to the judge while
other two leave it either up to the judge or the court itself to determine whether or not
the juvenile should be transferred. All 50 states, including District of Columbia,
allows at least one out of the three mechanisms to transfer juveniles to criminal courts.
The intended goal for trying a juvenile in adult criminal court is to intensify the
punishment and deter the juvenile from relapsing into their criminal behavior.

My Apollinaire s Speech
Most Important: I heard the sound of his voice. I think there is here something
essential for a musician who does not want to betray a poet. Appolinaire s timbre,
like his entire Е“urvre, was at the same time melancholic and joyful. There was, in
his speech, sometimes, a point of irony, but never le ton pince sans rire [tongue in
cheek] of a Jules Renard. That is why one must sing my Apollinaire s songs without
insisting on the comical soundof certain words. (Bourin 253)
Poulenc s music embodies the aspects of his influencers as well as their art in terms
of poetry. Apollinaire would become The first poet [he] set to music (Dobson 51).
The concept of Apollinaire s joyful and melancholic timbre is a key feature in
Poulenc s Opera Bouffe, Les Mamalles De TirГ©sias. The opera is based off of
Apollinaire s play Les Mamelles de TirГ©sias, originally subtitled Drame
surnaturaliste before being revised as Drame surrГ©aliste (Schmidt 49).
Schmidt speculates that Françis had met Guilaume at Valintine Hugo s home, but

Symbolism In A Rake s Progress By William Hogarth
Because you are women, people will force their thinking on you, their boundaries
on you. They will tell you how to dress, how to behave, who you can meet and
where you can go. Don t live in the shadows of people s judgement. Make your own
choices in the light of your own wisdom. Amitabh Bachchan
With society embedding far fetched expectations for women based solely on
patriarchy standards, it establishes partial perceptions that result in gender power
imbalance. In the text, A Rake s Progress by William Hogarth, it displays a series of
events that is a symbolism of __________. Through a detailed analysis, the English
artist tells a story of a young man who inherits a fortune on the death of his father. He

In the third painting of A Rake s Progress, The Orgy or Tavern Scene, the man can
easily be identified as the subject. Tom, the man in seen throughout all of the
paintings, is engulfed by females who take interest in his appearance and idolize
him. The text portrays women as being submissive to men and fulfill the title of
being second class citizens. Moreover, the image of men relies on the
misrepresentation of women. The exploitation of women in mass media dismembers
their existence (physically and mentally) as for men who are overrepresented for their
masculinity and domination. In Scene 5, The Marriage, Tom is getting married to an
older woman as the woman from the previous painting, Sarah, is being held back
from entering the building. Simultaneously, both of the dogs in the background
symbolizes marriage as it creates parallelism to the dogs displayed in Marriage A La

The Death Of Socrates And Jacques-Louis David
The Death of Socrates was painted by the French painter Jacques Louis David during
the Neo classical era in 1787. The painting illustrates the execution the Philosopher
Socrates as told by Plato in his Phaedo. In 399 B.C, the Athenian court had put
Socrates on trial for talking about things in the sky and below the earth, corrupting the
minds of the youth, and not believing in the gods, but in other spiritual things.
Socrateswas then sentenced to death by drinking a poisoned hemlock. In Platos
Phaedo Death Scene and Apology, both works recount the trial and death scene of
Socrates. David, later on, paint the death scene of Socrates inspired by the Phaedo

The establishment of the French regime began to deteriorate as the economic and
social difficulties began to increase. Not only that but the enlightenment quest to
promote reason as the basis for legitimacy and progress began to grow. The
philosophes were a group of people who emphasized the idea of thought and
challenged the authority of the monarchy and the church. The enlightenment era
included the age of Neoclassicism, a movement in attitude toward art and human
existence. Many neoclassical paintings showed emphases on the distribution of light,
serious theme and realistic. Various arts were reproduced or imitated from the
structures and times of Greek and Roman originals.
Jacques Louis David s Death of Socrates plays a significant role in the time of the
French revolution. As the citizens were frustrated with the injustice being brought
upon them by the nobles, David s painting of Socrates is there to awaken the
people to hold on to their beliefs and never deviate from the path of what is just to
them. In Plato s dialogues Apology and Phaedo Death Scene, Socrates was always
portrayed as sedately accepting death, as he states in his defense ...a man who is
any good at all should take into account the risk of life or death; he should look
only to this only in his actions, whether what he does is right or wrong. (Plato. 28b)
Socrates is clearly not concerned whether he lives or dies but preaches to the people

Brute Force Attack
1 Introduction The amount of information being processed and stored has grown
significantly in recent years. This makes organisations a prime target in which they
frequently fall victim to cybercrime, reasons being cybercriminals are often
financially motivated. One of the main issues organisations face, users often create
easy passwords to remember, which makes their credentials susceptible to various
brute force attacks. Cybercriminals use elaborate tools and techniques to crack user
credentials which may later be used to perform an attack to the systems on the
network. Authentication attacks occur on a daily basis which affect victims and
corporations all over the world. The effects of a breach could result in sensitive
information being compromised or a significant financial loss. There are various
reasons that are thought to be correlated to authentication attacks. Some examples
include, users using weak or the same passwords across multiple websites,
organisations not salting and storing passwords in plain text. This aim of this report
shall investigate the current tools and techniques used to conduct brute force attacks
over both standard and SSH connection as well as offline. A number of usernames

positive characteristic is dictionaries contain a considerable amount of passwords
that have previously been tried and tested, however, the downside is simple

Georges Seurat Research Paper
Georges Seurat was born in Paris, France on December 2, 1859, into a rich Parisian
family. His formal art education began in 1875 under sculptor Justin Lequien. Seurat
then enrolled in Г‰cole des Beaux Arts, a famous art school in France, in 1878,
where he studied under Henri Lehmann. However, he left shortly after to study on

the science of color, line, perception, atmosphere, and light. In 1883, Seurat

Since working with Conte crayon requires the artist to be extremely detailed, this
influenced Seurat s paintings. He often began his paintings by sketching strong, brief,
corresponding shapes, which outlined the subjects of his art.
When Seurat later developed an interest in the science of color, he displayed this in
his works. One of his theories of color presented that, when two colored dots are
placed next to each other, a third color would be seen by the human eye. This
prevented the mixing of paints and kept the colors as vivacious on the painting as
they were when they in the tube.
Seurat s use of color reflected his learning of color and conveyed different
sentiments. His choice of color was meant to induce certain emotions.
Experimentations with colors fascinated Seurat. He developed a way to communicate

Medical Malpractice And Its Effects
Medical Malpractice and Its Effects According to the American Bar Association
Medical malpractice is defined as negligence committed by a professional health
care provider a doctor, nurse, dentist, technician, hospital or hospital worker whose
performance of duties departs from a standard of practice of those with similar
training and experience, resulting in harm to a patient or patient s . Medical
malpracticemakes it hard for physicians to do their job without having the fears of
getting sued. This can impact their judgment and distract them from getting their jobs
done the right way. When people think of medical malpractice they only see how it
impacts the victim or the person who is suing the doctor, but do they ever wonder
how it affects the doctors and those who are in the medical field? Do they think about
how medical malpractice impacts the administration of proper medicine? Now, this is
the reason why society should care if our medical personnel are failing to do their
job or why you should it care collectively about a physicianwho was sued in the past,
but won the case? Medical malpractice doesn t only have negative effects on the
patient. I understand that the patient has to deal with emotional and/or physical
distress as well. Their entire lives are uprooted and they have to make a lot of
adjustments as necessary. I am sympathetic to the families who are affected. I feel the
same for the affected physicians who have won their and

most Africans who take the risk on moving to Europe. This film explores the
different complex dynamics of a post colonial period through the eyes of a
Senegalese servant named Diouana. She is painfully reminded of her racial identity.
It starts with a ship arriving in a harbor in France. She has heard great things about
moving to Europe also known as the colonial motherland. The film shows her having
flashbacks that take place in Dakar before her upcoming trip. She talks about
shopping and and new fashionable clothing she will buy. She dreamed of her family

refusal to serve. It is a reproach to her masters, who exploit her and do not even
recognize their exploitative practices. Her refusal to continue in a condition of
servitude is representative of the necessary refusal of other Africans, equally
uneducated and imbued with false illusions, to identify with the white oppressor. Her
death symbolizes the desired destruction of this old way of life as Sembene diagnoses
The Benefits Of Video Games
The Benefits of Videogames
Over the years there has been a huge controversy over video games; the number one
being the effect on the development of children, and this seems to be used a lot as a
way to stigmatize gaming as something entirely destructive. In general, there are
many misconceptions about video games. The Entertainment Software Association
estimates that around 60% of Americans, around 145 million people in all, currently
play some type of video game. Despite the common view of video games as being
for kids, the average age of a video game player is actually around 29 years old.

Video games are also being used to increase problem solving skills. For example,

The Importance Of Renaissance Education
The Renaissance was a time of brilliant scholars and great achievements. The
thorough learning during this Golden Age resulted in philosophical, cultural, and
technological advancements that helped later generations. The Renaissance was a
significant rebirth that changed life in many aspects after the Middle Ageswhere
society was weak and feeble minded because of the lack of education. Understanding
ancient Greek and Roman education, religious learning, and having an influence on
society were some of the purposes for education in the Renaissance, and the value of
Renaissance education was positively impactful because the achievements survived
the test of time while being changed for the better over many generations. Greek and
Roman thinking had individualistic ideas about the ordinary, but potentially great
man. Erasmus, a northern humanist, stated that if a student studied the literatures of
ancient Greece and Rome, he would understand that all his greatness lies within
himself (Document 3). Comprehending ancient works meant that the man would
recognize the humanistic way of living which gradually made European morale more
optimistic after the morose Plague. Of Presumption was an essay denouncing
education, but it did state how the system included the best Greek and Latin works
(Document 5). One of the most important men who contributed to the recovering of
Greek and Roman works was the father of humanism, Petrarch. He used his
knowledge of ancient thinking by
The Human Condition Essay
The Human Condition
Does life ever seem pointless and discouraging? In Albert Camus s The Myth of
Sisyphus, Camus describes the correlation between Sisyphus s fate and the human
condition. In the selection, everyday is the same for Sisyphus. Sisyphus is
condemned to rolling a rock up a mountain for eternity. Camus s The Myth of
Sisyphus forces one to contemplate Sisyphus s fate, how it relates to the human
condition, and how it makes the writer feel about her part in life.
Camus states if this myth is tragic, that is because its hero is conscious (Camus).

Instead, he starts to find meaning in his fate, starts to enjoy what he does, almost
to take pride in his work, like a true laborer. Thus, Sisyphus is the absurd hero,
because, like people he has a goal he believes that he can ultimately accomplish
(Camus). He, in his own small way spites the gods by taking delight in pushing this
rock over and over again.
How might one feel about this essay and her position in life? The writer feels as
though life in essence is futile and hopeless (Camus). For example, day after day
the writer continually gets up and goes to school. Many will feel disheartened by
another day of doing things he or she may not want to do. Nevertheless, one would
rather go to school and endure the torture of being in school than sitting at home
for hours on end doing absolutely nothing or at a job she may not enjoy. Hence,
why students welcome the summer, but after a few weeks they yearn to be in
school again or why the depressed are depressed. The writer is no different. One is
happiest when there are responsibilities to fill one s day rather than a day without
promise.
Life can seem futile and hopeless. However, it only seems that way to people who
don t take pleasure in what they do. Sisyphus realizes that if he just sat around all
day instead of pushing that rock, he would never
Human Nature In The Lion, The Witch And The Wardrobe
The book The Lion,The Witch and The Wardrobe is the first book in The

characters in the book are non humans they can still show a lot about human nature.
Although good and bad are really only concepts and nothing is set in stone we still
use them to describe almost everything. Throughout the book the children,Susan,
Peter, Edmund and Lucy seem to take on the roles of heroes or saviors in the story.
Lucy specifically also represents the innocence of children and how naturally good
humans are at young age. Overall throughout the book C.S Lewis shows that human
nature is basically good in this world. In Narniathere are many creatures that help
create a whimsical and fun story but, none of the creatures are human. The only
people in Narnia are the four visiting children who are called Daughters of Eve and

the most kind and compassionate child and the real leader of there decent into

Pipeline Failures Are Caused By Undetected Corrosion Of...
The majority of pipeline failures are caused by undetected corrosion of the pipe
(1). A real time corrosion detection technique that does not require access to the
entire pipeline would allow for maintenance and repairs to be done before a failure
occurs, saving time and money, reducing or negating environmental damage, and
easing political pressure and social stigma on pipelines. Pipeline failures can relate
to each aspect of the STEEP model. When a pipeline fails, it effects the
surrounding environment by leaking hazardous gas and hydrocarbons into the
ecosystem. In addition to the environmental affects, the economical effects are
drastic. Between 2002 and 2009, pipeline companies spent over $600,000,000 on
pipeline failures (1). Social and political stances on pipelines are very crucial right
now, as pipelines have a stigma in the media because of the damage and loss of life
failures cause. If we can reduce or negate these failures, social and political support
for pipelines should grow, enabling more pipelines to be built across the world. From
my research, I have not found any corrosion detection techniques out there that do
what I am proposing. A real time corrosion detection technique would allow
companies to detect corrosion in underground/underwater piping systems without
having to excavate, or dive and inspect them. A wireless technology that can be

The revolution resulted, among other things, in the overthrow of the Bourbon
monarchy in France and in the establishment of the First Republic. It was generated
by a vast complex of causes, the most important of which were the inability of the
ruling classes of nobility, clergy, and bourgeoisie to come to grips with the problems
of state, the indecisive nature of the monarch, impoverishment of the workers, the
intellectual ferment of the Age of Enlightenment, and the example of the American
Revolution. Recent scholarship tends to downplay the social class struggle and

Evolution Of Database Management Systems
EVOLUTION OF DBMS
1.INTRODUCTION
As technology is rapidly emerging and changing, organizations are quickly adapting
to it, and with this technology and software advancement includes database
management systems. Database management systems have become a crucial tool in
every organization. It will be rather more surprising to see a company not using
DBMS in this age. As organizations emerge and grow by years, they have numerous
data sets to handle and database management systems is a software application which
helps organizations perform this mundane task easily. It collects, organizes the
databases and also stores and performs functions on the databases making it easier for
users to access. Now days, an organization wouldn t survive without data and
information. The way this data is important for an organization, to manage this data is
equally important. Database management systems has become a part of every field
right from schools, libraries, medical centers, airlines, chemical plants etcetera. With
the effective use of database management systems software in organizations, it comes
with advantages and disadvantages which will be later explained in the findings
section of this paper.
The research would concentrate more on how database management system
applications have progressed since the past decade. The research objective is to study
the evolution of DBMS and learn about the emerging alternative applications for this
traditional system. The positive and negative effects

depression, anxiety, anorexia, and bulimia. Women will often turn to dieting,
exercising, eating disorders, and cosmetic surgery in order to change their body
which reinforces sexist notions about an ideal woman. Everywhere you turn, there
are advertisements telling us what it means to be desirable. Personally, the saddest
part of this sexist marketing is it s no longer about women fitting into a man s
perception of beauty but their perception has become our reality. We have accepted
that we are deficient, flawed and not pretty enough. We also place society s beauty
standards on other women. Not only are we the victims of body shame but we are
also the new perpetrators.
We are constantly receiving mixed messages about true beauty. Is it in the eye of
the beholder? Do we need to see the beauty within ourselves and not base it
conditionally on society s standards? How are we to love ourselves and have high
self esteem when every ad, commercial, TV show and other experts of beauty are
constantly objectifying women
Analysis Of Fareed Zakaria On America s Education System
Fareed Zakaria found opportunities in America s education system that he never
would ve had in his home country of India. America s open minded way of life
amazed him even when he was growing up and being influenced by American
entertainment. Zakaria s love for America was sparked by his family ties to
America, his passion for American films, and the opportunity to live out his
dreams instead of being tied to a specific career. Zakaria developed a fascination
for America at a young age. Hollywood was one of the main reasons he gained so
much knowledge for America s culture. He gained a passion for American television
and film. He watched films and shows such as The Poseidon Adventure, Kramer vs.
Kramer, Dallas, and I love Lucy. Zakaria himself writes, The hottest show at the
time was Dallas, which we all devoured. The scenes during the opening credits
were my window into the American dream: shining shots of gleaming skyscrapers,
helicopters landing in office parks, men in ten gallon hats getting in and out of
cavernous Cadillacs (34). Zakaria s point is that shows such as Dallas allowed him
to gain knowledge of the American Dream and America s culture which lead to him
wanting to gain his own taste of American life. Zakaria eventually ended up
attending Yale. He gained much knowledge of literacy and philosophy at Yale due to
their outstanding teachings in liberal education. Zakaria was fascinated by
Hollywood s films which led to him living his own American dream and
MSU Personal Statement
From a kid till the end of my senior year of college I was treated as a princess my
parents never let me do hardships and give me whatever I want. That was why I
was so dependent. I can vividly remember when my parents finally let me go and I
have to enter adulthood. When I arrived to MSU, it was like Adulthood 101 to me.
I learn how to budget and prioritize what is important, I learn the basic of cooking
and finally have responsibilities. This actually shocked myself because I finally
become independent, now I have to worry taking care of myself or manage on
living on my own. I don t consider it as a bad thing at all, I actually like this change.
I live in Belleville, Michigan before coming to MSU. Living there, I felt like I was
trap in a fishbowl. The city was predominantly white, so I did not have a lot of
friends I can embrace my culture or relate to. There were not a lot of open minded
people and not many opportunities for me to expand and discover myself. That was
why I decided to go to MSU. I know this school is big and have a lot of diversity. In
order to build a strong resume for my future occupations, internship and opportunities,
I know MSU can help me with that ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
I was never interested in my Vietnamese culture until I came to Vietnam. Looking
deeper into my childhood scene, I realized how my trip to Vietnam changed me
completely. Back then I was mostly into Korean culture, but coming to Vietnam
made me appreciate my culture and be proud of being Vietnamese descent. I
struggle in finding my own culture identity because I did not grew up with Asian
people. Now that I m at MSU I met more Asian people and can relate to them on
Asian American issues. I finally found a community I belong and a broad amount of
people who share the same problem as I do. Together we raise Asian Awareness,
which was something I never had a chance to do in high
Tangerine Quotes
Flashbacks, lightning, and sinkholes is some things Paul experiences in his new
life in Florida. Paul, the main character, in the book, Tangerine, by Edward Bloor,
faces three major consequences in his life that will affect him in the future. Paul is
a seventh grade boy, who moves to Tangerine County, Florida, and loves to play
soccer. His family believes he has an issue with his eyesight, but Paul thinks
otherwise. Paul choices lead to a variety of consequences, good and bad. Moving
schools, sticking up to his brother before he murders him, and telling the truth are
just some of the situations. Paul s choices and the consequences of the choices,
affects the development of his character. To begin, an IEP might ruin Paul s soccer

The police arrive at the Fisher s home to declare Arthur under arrest for killing Luis
Cruz. Arthur s dad mortify face explains to the deputies Arthur s anecdote. The dad
continues with Luis does not belong up there, he is there to pick up a fight. Arthur
just gave him one good smack in the face, that is it. He keeps on looking back at
his son to make sure this is correct. Arthur stands there, sullen, shaking his head up
and down. Paul has enough of these lies and calls out from the crowd of people. He
belonged up there! The weapon he used to kill Luis Cruz was a blackjack (284). Paul
continues and says that Erik Fisher commands him to do it. The deputy asked Do
we have your statement son? (285). Paul is not done yet, and responds with, I wasn
t brave enough, but when called upon he will. In the beginning of the story Erik
scares Paul, but by the end Paul finds the confidence inside of him to stick up for
himself.
To conclude, Paul s choices affect himself in many ways. The book,Tangerine, by
Edward Bloor shows that Paul s choices in life lead to many positive and some
negative consequences. Being able to play soccer, sticking up for himself, and not
being afraid of his brother anymore, are just some things Paul receives from his
choices throughout the
The Lie About College Diversity Summary
In The New York Times, the article The Lie About College Diversity. by Frank
Bruni discusses his theory on college diversity. Bruni explains that colleges are
trying to enhance their campus. The college fails to get these diverse groups to go
outside their comfort zone and intermingle. There are places where these groups can
go to feel comfortable like housing environments, groups, fraternities, and clubs.
However, they fail to go outside these groups. The colleges should help make it
possible for these different diverse groups to interact, socialize, and drive cohesion.
This will help collegestudents integrate better into real world diverse environments.
Even if the colleges are achieving their goals to get a diverse student body to the
campuses, they fail to get those groups to interact. In the article The Lie About
College Diversity, Bruni s interpretation on diversity explains that common college
diversity programs are categorizing students together with similar backgrounds. Only
a number of programs accept students to interact with fellow diversity students with
different cultures, backgrounds or ethnic groups. These programs do not motivate
students to reach out and share their thoughts with other groups because they could
get rejected. By learning other points of view and having diversity in the learning
environment, it also helps individuals communicate better. It also opens minds to
ideas and concepts they might not have considered and provide them with

Fate In Romeo And Juliet Essay.pdf

  • 1. Fate In Romeo And Juliet Essay Crafting an essay on the theme of fate in Shakespeare's "Romeo and Juliet" is undeniably challenging. The intricacies of the play, the depth of the characters, and the profound exploration of destiny make it a complex subject to dissect and analyze. To begin with, one must grapple with the multifaceted nature of fate as portrayed in the play. Shakespeare weaves a narrative where destiny is both a guiding force and a malevolent puppeteer. Untangling these threads requires a keen understanding of the characters' motivations, the cultural context of the time, and an appreciation for the literary devices employed by the playwright. Moreover, delving into the philosophical aspects of fate demands a careful examination of the characters' agency versus predestination. How much control do Romeo and Juliet truly have over their lives, and to what extent are their choices influenced by external factors? Addressing these questions requires a nuanced exploration of the text, requiring a deep dive into the nuances of Shakespearean language and dramatic techniques. The essay must also navigate the interplay between fate and free will, drawing on critical interpretations and scholarly insights. Analyzing various perspectives on the role of fate in the tragic outcome of the play adds layers of complexity to the writing process. Constructing a coherent argument while acknowledging the multitude of interpretations demands meticulous research and thoughtful engagement with the source material. Additionally, the essay writer must be adept at weaving together textual evidence, critical analyses, and personal insights into a seamless narrative. Synthesizing complex ideas and presenting them in a cohesive manner is no small feat, particularly when dealing with a topic as rich and multifaceted as fate in "Romeo and Juliet." In conclusion, tackling an essay on the theme of fate in "Romeo and Juliet" is an intellectually demanding task. It requires a deep understanding of the play, a keen analytical eye, and the ability to navigate the intricacies of philosophical discussions surrounding fate and free will. • 2. The Representation Of The Housewife In Popular Culture The representation of the housewife in popular culture has long been perpetuated through various forms of media such as film, television and commercial advertising. Advertisements depicting women within the domestic sphere were prevalent long before the turn of the twenty first century and were instrumental in internalising the notion of domestic space. The term housewife became widely popular in the 1950 s, created as a positive and recuperative result of the postwar era. The introduction of television shows such as The Donna Reed Show, I Love Lucy and Leave it to Beaver established women firmly within a domestic realm. However in spite of the changing outlooks, the repetitious nature of the life of a housewife still remains relevant in popular culture today as the ties between domesticity and the housewife have long been evident. The writing of professor Laura J. Miller often explores these connections and she states that many Americans believed that the suburbs were the most promising place for the family to flourish, but often led to the isolation of the housewife from larger society. The trend of portraying the happy housewife amongst Hollywood films during the 1960 s attempted to address some of the issues of the discontentment of women, however ultimately still cemented their image as being trapped in domestic isolation. A particular example of this is the film The Thrill of It All that was released in the 1963, just a few months after the publication of Freidan s The Feminine Mystique. Whilst still adhering to the conventional model of the housewife the film touched on some of the issues surrounding a women s place within the home that were becoming prevalent around this time. Beverly Boyer played by Doris Day is portrayed at the beginning of the film as being the perfect wife and

Bending Moment Lab Report Applied mechanics laboratory report Measurement of bending moment and shear forces for structural analysis Azamat Omarov ID201102658 1.Theory and background 1.1 Summary That performed laboratory session on bending moments and shear forces requires good understanding and sufficient knowledge of axial forces. Bending is defined as a behavior of any structural element that undergoes the external load, which is applied perpendicularly to longitudinal axis. That experiment helps us to find the maximum load that can be applied to the beam with rectangular cross section. Moments are calculated by using statics theory, or multiplying perpendicularly directed load by the respective distance to the pivot point. 1.2 Objective The main objective... Moment was calculated in the same manner as in the previous example with only the difference in direction for positive moment. ∑MR1(left)= ∑MR1(right) ; R1*0.2 P2*0.34=(R2 P3)*0.24; The resultant bending moment was found to be maximum at the point where shear forces are minimal and thus equals to approximately +0.3856 N.m Regarding the moment about the cut, here our group was able to find the minimum difference between the measured and calculated values applying the same formulas and assumptions. The resultant moment was calculated to be 0.225N.m , which is approximately 3% difference and thus can be neglected. It is clear from the bending moment diagram that there is a point except ends where bending moment equals to zero. Such a point have a different of bending moment on its two sides (left and right) is known as a point of contra flexture. It can be easily found by using moment equation about that point and equate it to zero. Taking that reference point as X , we obtain: ∑MX(left)= ∑MX(right); 5.26*(X 0.14) = 1.962*X Thus the point of contra flexture for those specific loads equals 0.223m or 223mm from P1 Figure 7. Individuals who have appearance driven motivation for exercise experience a more negative body image (O Hara, Cox, Amorose, 2014). Health centered motivations make it less likely for an individual to objectify themselves (O Hara, Cox, Amorose, 2014). Self objectification is an indicator of body dissatisfaction (Stuart, Trepp, Kuhle, Slaugh, Murtaugh, 2015). One common measurement used to assess body dissatisfaction is a somatotype scale test. The distance between what an individual deems to be an ideal somatotype and the somatotype they identify themselves as having represents their body image. A higher difference in the identified somatotypes indicates a lower body image. A causation relationship has not been established, but a lower body image is associated with disorded eating behaviors (Ferreria, Pinto Gouveia, Duarte, 2013; Stuart, Trepp, Kuhle, Slaugh, Murtaugh, 2015). This connection has been commonly addressed during treatment sessions for eating disorders. Additionally to further enhance treatment, it has more recently been seen that amount of exercise is no longer related to body image when motivation has been taken into account within a non eating disorder population (Holland, Brown, Keel, 2014). Proving that this same relationship exists within an eating disorder population may change treatment tactics. It would allow focus during exercise therapy to shift from controlling the amount of

Waste disposal refers to the proper recycling and jettison of discarded or discharged material. There are different methods of handling unwanted products that have reached their end of life. Logistics plays an important role in the disposal of these materials. Therefore, the purpose of this paper is to explore the disposal methods of medical, electronic, and hazardous waste. On average there are over 3.5 million tons of medical waste generated per year by the United States alone, according to reports in 2004. Medical waste, as classified by the World Health Organization, is waste that is generated in the diagnosis, treatment, or immunization of human beings or animals. If not properly disposed of, medical waste can cause risks for the healthcare personnel as well as the public. Logistics pays a role in planning, managing, and controlling the flow of medical waste until it is properly disposed of. Medical waste is segregated before disposal into different color bins and bags. The correct method of storage is also important. There is also a need for proper labeling, especially if the waste is hazardous. The Medical Waste Management Program was established to protect the public and environment from potentially infectious diseases. According to the California Department of Public Health, the program regulates the generation, handling, storage, treatment, and disposal of

Official records indicate that juveniles are responsible for 17 to 20 percent of all sexual crimes, except prostitution, and victim reports, as well as, youth self reports suggest even higher rates of juvenile sexual offending (Letourneau Borduin, 2008). Although it remains clear that there is no specific cure for sex offenders, various treatment programs and punishments have been put in place as remedies to limit sex offending (Letourneau Borduin, 2008). The following provides further insight on the most common treatment programs being utilized for juvenile sexual offenders today: cognitive behavioral treatment programs (Terry, 2006). Main Body Cognitive Behavioral Treatment As scholars began to recognize the prevalence of cognitive distortions, such as, denial, minimization, etc., amongst sex offenders, cognitive behavioral treatment programs surfaced during the 1970 s as a means to overcome such distortions (Terry, 2006). Cognitive behavioral treatment was the first multimodal treatment utilized for sex offenders to address their cognitive, social, and behavioral issues (Terry, 2006). More precisely, these programs involve a problem focused approach that aids offenders in identifying and changing their faulty beliefs, thoughts, and patterns of behavior that led to their offense (Letourneau Borduin, 2008). • 19. The Everyday Is Important For Sociological Research This essay will argue that the setting of the everyday is important for sociological research. Through its investigation it becomes evident how various types of social structures and institutions have an ability to influence behaviours and emotions of individuals. The sociological research of the everyday covers a diverse range of theories, as individuals live and conduct themselves by various standards, contexts, and structures (Heller, 1984, p. 3), and it is this kind of interaction that is taken for granted and thus in need of exploration. It is through the examination of the socialisation occurring in the everyday between individuals, institutions, rules, and culture, that it becomes evident that the obvious is often not so obvious (Newman et al., 2013). This essay utilises the sociological imagination to express this importance of the everyday through the exploration of three aspects of socialisation, these being employment, mass media, and social deviance. It is these kinds of socialisations occurring in the everyday that illustrate how social structures and institutions influence behaviours and emotions, and hence also prove the everyday as an important setting for sociological research. Have you ever wondered whether your thoughts and feelings are your own? Judicial waiver is the most common mechanism used and it gives juvenile court judges the authority to table certain juvenile cases to the adult criminal court. In the last few decades, 48 states, including District of Columbia, have gained the authority to waive juveniles to criminal court. 37 states have the authority to use statutory exclusion which orders juvenile prosecutions in adult courts. The last mechanism is direct files and 10 states approve of it as a mean to transfer juveniles to criminal courts by warranting the prosecution the power to charge the juvenile as an adult. These three mechanisms differ due to the level of discretion that each provides to the courts and actors of the courts. One gives the discretion to the judge while other two leave it either up to the judge or the court itself to determine whether or not the juvenile should be transferred. All 50 states, including District of Columbia, allows at least one out of the three mechanisms to transfer juveniles to criminal courts. The intended goal for trying a juvenile in adult criminal court is to intensify the punishment and deter the juvenile from relapsing into their criminal behavior. According to Steiner, in his article

This makes organisations a prime target in which they frequently fall victim to cybercrime, reasons being cybercriminals are often financially motivated. One of the main issues organisations face, users often create easy passwords to remember, which makes their credentials susceptible to various brute force attacks. Understanding ancient Greek and Roman education, religious learning, and having an influence on society were some of the purposes for education in the Renaissance, and the value of Renaissance education was positively impactful because the achievements survived the test of time while being changed for the better over many generations. Greek and Roman thinking had individualistic ideas about the ordinary, but potentially great man.
