This document summarizes a research paper on post component analysis of categorical data. The paper discusses testing for associations in contingency tables with more than two categories by identifying significant or non-significant associations between pairs of categories. A simulation study was conducted on 3x4 and 4x4 tables to analyze the pattern of "reversal association" between sub-tables and the original table. The results showed that over 90% of 2x2 sub-tables exhibited reversal association, compared to higher order sub-tables. This provides a method to understand associations between different categorical levels in contingency tables.
