2. PRE-PRODUCTION
• During the Pre-production phase of creating our media product we used technologies
such as Blogger to start up our blog where we posted all the things that we have done
through the different stages of production. We also used search engines such as
Google or Bing to help us research our type of genre, other films and elements that we
could incorporate into our film. For example we looked at crime, comedy and the sub-
genre crime-comedy films so we could see what they had done. It allowed us to be
able to get ideas for scripts, editing ideas, screen plays etc. We also used Adobe
Photoshop to create our production and film logos. Photoshop is quick and easy to
use but it also allowed us to create professional looking logos.

3. PRODUCTION
• During the production of our film we used a Panasonic HD Handheld Camera to record our
film. The camera was ideal for us a it was a light weight compact device that was easy to
used but it did also offer us high definition resolution to give us a better quality film. Also
due to it being a hand held camera it was easy to set up and we were also able to use some
handheld shots within our film.
• In addition to the handheld devices we also used a voice recorder to dub in some of the
lines. This can be seen in the first minuet of the film we see the audio being used when
Jacob walks into the store. The reason we used in with in this scene was to give us better
quality of sound as the shot it is said in is a long shot away from the store so we had to put
the sound in anyway but it was an idea we had from the pre-production stage.
• We also used Adobe Premier Pro to edit our film. It was an easy program to use and
allowed us to edit our film quickly and effectively.

4. POST-PRODUCTION
• During post production we used YouTube to upload our finished film. We also used
Microsoft Word and PowerPoint to state our actions during filmmaking and write
about what we have done through each process.
