The document discusses the various technologies used to create a music magazine. These include a Canon DSLR camera for photos, lighting equipment, Adobe Photoshop for image editing, internet research using YouTube tutorials and a blogger, and PowerPoint for organizing research. The author learned how to properly use these technologies, such as camera functions, lighting setups, Photoshop tools, and organizing platforms, to produce high quality images and presentations and effectively complete the magazine project. Without the use of these technologies, the author would not have been able to successfully create and organize the information for the magazine.

The French Revolution, which began in 1789, was a period of radical social and political upheaval in France. It marked the decline of absolute monarchies, the rise of secular and democratic republics, and the eventual rise of Napoleon Bonaparte. This revolutionary period is crucial in understanding the transition from feudalism to modernity in Europe.

June 3, 2024 Anti-Semitism Letter Sent to MIT President Kornbluth and MIT Cor...Levi Shapiro
Letter from the Congress of the United States regarding Anti-Semitism sent June 3rd to MIT President Sally Kornbluth, MIT Corp Chair, Mark Gorenberg
Dear Dr. Kornbluth and Mr. Gorenberg,
The US House of Representatives is deeply concerned by ongoing and pervasive acts of antisemitic
harassment and intimidation at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Failing to act decisively to ensure a safe learning environment for all students would be a grave dereliction of your responsibilities as President of MIT and Chair of the MIT Corporation.
This Congress will not stand idly by and allow an environment hostile to Jewish students to persist. The House believes that your institution is in violation of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, and the inability or
unwillingness to rectify this violation through action requires accountability.
Postsecondary education is a unique opportunity for students to learn and have their ideas and beliefs challenged. However, universities receiving hundreds of millions of federal funds annually have denied
students that opportunity and have been hijacked to become venues for the promotion of terrorism, antisemitic harassment and intimidation, unlawful encampments, and in some cases, assaults and riots.
The House of Representatives will not countenance the use of federal funds to indoctrinate students into hateful, antisemitic, anti-American supporters of terrorism. Investigations into campus antisemitism by the Committee on Education and the Workforce and the Committee on Ways and Means have been expanded into a Congress-wide probe across all relevant jurisdictions to address this national crisis. The undersigned Committees will conduct oversight into the use of federal funds at MIT and its learning environment under authorities granted to each Committee.
• The Committee on Education and the Workforce has been investigating your institution since December 7, 2023. The Committee has broad jurisdiction over postsecondary education, including its compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, campus safety concerns over disruptions to the learning environment, and the awarding of federal student aid under the Higher Education Act.
• The Committee on Oversight and Accountability is investigating the sources of funding and other support flowing to groups espousing pro-Hamas propaganda and engaged in antisemitic harassment and intimidation of students. The Committee on Oversight and Accountability is the principal oversight committee of the US House of Representatives and has broad authority to investigate “any matter” at “any time” under House Rule X.
• The Committee on Ways and Means has been investigating several universities since November 15, 2023, when the Committee held a hearing entitled From Ivory Towers to Dark Corners: Investigating the Nexus Between Antisemitism, Tax-Exempt Universities, and Terror Financing. The Committee followed the hearing with letters to those institutions on January 10, 202
2024.06.01 Introducing a competency framework for languag learning materials ...Sandy Millin
http://sandymillin.wordpress.com/iateflwebinar2024
Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.

Overview on Edible Vaccine: Pros & Cons with Mechanism
Evaluation: Question 6
1. Question 6
WHAT HAVE YOU LEARNED ABOUT TECHNOLOGIES FROM THE
PROCESS OF CONSTRUCTION OF YOUR PTODUCT?
2. Technologies used
While producing my magazine, I had to use many technologies which enabled me to complete
my production task. I’ve also had to learn how to use them properly to be able to make my
music magazine at the highest quality that I can. Below is a list of the main technologies I have
used:
Canon Camera Lighting Adobe Photoshop cs3
Internet: research
and blogger PowerPoint
3. Camera: Canon 700D
This is an SLR camera which enabled me to see the photos straight after they were taken during
the photoshoot. Therefore, I was able to see if lightning or another factors such as zoom had to
be adjusted to receive the best image possible. I had to research the best ways to take photos
this is where I used the internet of mainly watching tutorials on YouTube, some of these are
shown on my blogger. When I done my research about this camera I found out the best
functions I should use including the ISO levels, aperture as well as the shutter speed this was
very important for achieving high quality images. I’ve also had to use a tripod to be able to get
steady images, this also helped with the improvement of its quality.
5. Lighting
The first part of my photoshoot was done indoors therefore I felt like it would be for the best to
create artificial light as the quality of images would be very different in comparison to using
normal lighting. Though my research I’ve found out that many music magazines used very high
key lighting so I felt like I should go along with the convention. Also, in my research I found out
the best light positioning for the photographs I want to take and how much and the amount of
light should be applied to create the best image possible.
6. Adobe Photoshop cs3
The whole production task was created on Adobe Photoshop. Throughout the process I was able
to add text, change contrast, brightness and improve the models skin by using spot healing tools
and other functions. I watched many tutorials in order to be able to understand how many
features of Photoshop can be used most efficiently and to the best quality. This shows that
Photoshop gave me the ability to manipulate an image and make it seem as that was the
original, this is what print media uses continuously, throughout their magazines. Most of my
photo editing was done to the cover image.
7. Internet
I used the internet for my indicial research of codes and conventions and my planning where I watched many
tutorials on YouTube which enabled me to widen my understanding of Photoshop, how to use camera and
lighting etc.
I used blogger to be able to post my work and the research I have done. This was very convenient for me as I was
able to collect any of my findings very quickly and efficiently. I learned how to organise the blog and hoe to
change the layouts as well as how to share information from social media and other websites.
The PowerPoints I had created for my evaluation and codes and conventions I was able to post on SlideShare
which later enabled me to post it on my blogger, this created an organised look and was very convenient.
8. PowerPoint
I used PowerPoint for my codes and conventions research and my evaluation, I was able to
organise each question and part of research into separate PowerPoints and slides, this makes it
clear where which information is put and is easy to find. PowerPoint also enabled me to put
photos and information on each slide which I needed to be able to show my analysis of my
product and other music magazines.
9. Without the use of technology I wouldn’t be able to produce my magazine, as everything
that I have used has been though the use of technology. This shows that technology is a
massive part of print media. If I wouldn’t be able to access some of the technologies which I
had used the quality and professionality of my magazine would be much lower. I was able to
improve my skills on many of the technology I used and learned how to use it effectively and
efficiently as well as creating an organised outlook throughout.
