2. For my music magazine I decided to name my magazine “NE” which stands for new edge, I
chose this because I thought it suited my genre also the concept of the magazine which is to
have new upcoming artist, tracks, singles, albums and upcoming gigs and so on. I made the
title big and bold, having black and red contrast each other also having them in capitals
which makes them stand out on my magazine. The font style is unique and edgy which
suites my genre and my style and the image of my magazine, I wanted it to be different from
other magazines.

3. For my main image I decided to go for a mid
long shot, and I wanted my model to look quite
fierce, even though she is wearing glasses you
notice by looking at her expression also her
body language that she has power, and has
“comeback”, the image fits in perfectly with my
main cover line. I blurred the background
because It makes my image stand out, having a
blurred coloured background has a massive
effect on the whole image, I purposely had my
model wear a grey plain dress, because it
contrasts with the background and she doesn’t
mixed or camouflage back.
I also edited the sunglasses which I cropped
out the lens and replaced them with extra
additional images of my model.
Overall I was really pleased how my main
image turned out, it really looks professional,
the only thing I would change is the shot, I
should have had a closer camera shot so you
can see the images in the lenses much better

4. Front cover- Completed
My overall layout, was based around my image, I
related the cover lines by my genre. I included
shapes such as flash shapes and extra images of
other artists. As you can see I added the images in
the lens and then brightened my image so you can
see them clearer. I chose to have white text as I
have a multi-coloured background so having my
texts white makes it readable. My masthead was
red and black which went with the background,
even though its blurred my masthead still stands
out.
I didn’t really have a set colour scheme but my
main colour is red because it’s a sexy, bold colour
which attracts the audience, also having a female
artist can appeal to the audience, because she's
giving a fierce look and so is her body language.
I also included boxes behind some significant
meaningful words, making them stand out and
attract the audience

5. Contents
This is the layout I designed for my contents magazine. I used a
template from “Q” magazine to help me design my magazine. I
split the page up into three sections. Having a white
background was good as I had dark texts, I included boxed texts
which made it look more professional and organised.
I also added different font styles and colours so that it would
attract both male and female.

6. O v e r a l l l a y o u t - C o n t e n t s
I added the text I wanted and where I
wanted the sub-heading to go, I could then
add additional texts/ images which I did . I
made the title stand out contrasting with a
grey background and having the name of the
magazine bold and big, I did this because I
thought it looked cool as this magazine
appeals to my age audience as well I made
sure that everything I included I gave my
interpretation and looked from a perspective
of another and thought carefully of what
would attract them.
I added an image of a boys group so that my
magazine appeals to both males and
females, adding a caption inside the image
gave it a professional look

7. I split up my double page spread, so that there was one image of just my model, I
purposely wanted my model to pose in that position as it then links in with the next page
which is just about her.
I used a variety of images of my model posing in different positions and poses to show my
audience her personality, as they would feel more connected. I edited them so they were
blended but still bold in the background as my text was more important, I had the main
image in colour as it was the main cover so it linking throughout my magazine as each page
had some link with this article so it continues throughout which constantly reminds the
audience to have a look, as its an “exclusive” story .
