2. Image
The image on my front cover is very
distinctive, as the artists isn't dressed in the
normal clothes that an artist wears. Instead
he is wearing a pink/purple gilet jacket, and
normally they look smart and
sophisticated, but I broke those
boundaries, as wanted the artist to look
normal, and comfortable.

3. Masthead
The masthead is big and bold, which makes
it stand out from the rest of the magazine,
and I have decided to make it teal which
isn’t normal as it is very different. Magazines
normally have their mastheads in red or
black, but I had it teal because I wanted my
magazine to stand out from the crowd and
be different.

4. Colour Scheme
At first I didn’t have an actual colour scheme, and
then I put the masthead in teal and I thought that It
looked good. From that I chose to have it as my
colour scheme, but used a lighter shade as the
background and the same colour on the contents
page.
This would attract the audiences attention because
it is a bright vibrant colour and is automatically eye
catching, it is the magazine that the audience will
instantly look at as it stands out.

5. Cover lines
The cover lines that were chosen were chosen because I
didn't want there to be too many on the front cover. I used
a quote from the artist, and that lures the audience in
because audiences want to see what artists have to say,
and what they are actually like.
The pull quote that I used was ‘From rags to riches’ and I
decided to use this because this is what the audience want,
they want to see where an artists is coming from, and their
background.
I didn't want to put too many cover lines on the front cover
because I didn't want to bombard it with too many cover
lines. Another thing is that in my research I found that my
audience arent willing to pay more than £2.00 for a
magazine so I decided to make the price of my magazine
£1.70.

6. Contents Page
I attracted the audiences attention on my contents
page, with the colours that I used, the colour that I used
was the same colour as the masthead on the front page. I
decided to use the same colour because I wanted my
magazine to look professional, and the same throughout.
Another thing that attracted the audience with my
contents page is the simplicity, I wanted my contents page
to look very simple and not over done. So therefore I
added two images and didn't enlarge them, by doing this
it wasn't dominating the page. I also added an editors
letter and that attracts the audience because they want
to see what the editor has to say about the magazine, and
it brings everything together, it completes the magazine.

7. Double Page Spread
I attracted the audiences attention on my double page
spread with the background colour that I chose, I chose to
have it pink, because to show the artists feminine side, also
I wanted it to match with the main headline which was a
darker shade of pink from the background.
Also another thing that I did was, follow the typical
conventions of a double page spread, by doing this it
made my page look much better, and much more
professional. Also underneath the artists name it has a little
subheading introducing the artist a little bit, and this
attracts the audiences attention, and makes them want to
continue reading and see what the interview involves.
