What kind of media institution might distribute your
media product and why?
I am going to be using…
FRONTLINE
Frontline
After researching a range of media institutions, I found
one that I believe that would represent my genre and is
also well established and popular. Frontline is a media
distribution company that also distribute ‘Kerrang’
magazine, which is one of the UK’s most popular rock
music magazines. Although Frontline already distribute a
poplar music magazine I think my magazine will be better
at appealing to an audience who like a different genre of
music and wouldn’t have to compete with ‘Kerrang’.
Frontline
Frontline is also a company that has influences
on new media. I think this is important for my
magazine, as it would appeal to my younger
target audience who are heavily influenced by
modern technology. Other institutions that I
researched mainly focused on only print based
media and I don’t think this would have fit with
my magazine that is largely targeted at a
younger audience who would be more likely to
use modern technology in their everyday life.
