The document summarizes feedback received from audience surveys on a poster and digipak design project. For the poster survey, most responses were from females and preferred larger images over smaller ones. For the digipak survey, most responses were from males and felt images were more important than color. Both surveys indicated using consistent branding and minimal text.
2. Before creating my poster I created a questionnaire using Survey
Monkey. This allowed me to post links to my survey online and
opened up my questionnaire to a wider audience in order to get
more diverse results. 69.23% of my responses were from females
so the results I received were more female heavy. 76.92% of my
responses leaned towards using bigger images on the poster than
smaller ones so this helped me to choose what I wanted to
design for the poster. I’d already had an idea of wanting to use
the same image on my poster as what was on my digipak but my
survey results came back that 100% of the people who took my
survey agreed that if I used the same image or design on the
front cover of my digipak and my poster that it would make them
both more memorable. Clip Art was a more popular option than
photographs in my survey which was helpful when designing my
poster, however, I still decided to use both. A dark colour scheme
was more popular than a light colour scheme so I decided to use
a darker colour scheme for my poster. Regarding the amount of
text that was going have on my poster 69.23% of people decided
that only necessary points should be included on posters so I
decided that would be best.
3. Before creating my digipak I created a digipak
questionnaire in order to gain information of
what people thought would be most appealing
on my digipak.
54.55% of my responses were from men,
therefore the other 45.45% of responses were
from women, meaning that my results were
more men opinion based. 72.73% of my
participants said that the main attraction of a
digipak are the images rather than the colour,
meaning that when making my digipak I had to
take this into consideration. 81.82% of my
responses said that they would prefer to see
both images and lyrics inside of the digipak,
therefore I decided that would definitely be
something that I would include. 81.82% said
that minimal text should be included on the
digipak.
4. Music Video
When I finished my music video I picked out two students from my sixth form that fit my target audience. They
watched my music video and then I asked them some questions about the video:
• Did you enjoy my music video?
• What was your favourite part of the video?
• Do you think that the lyrics fit well with the video?
• Did you find the video relatable to situations that you have been in yourself?
• Did you feel a connection to the characters in my music video?
The video of my Audience Responses is on my blog to watch.
