The Art Pastor's Guide to Sabbath | Steve ThomasonSteve Thomason
What is the purpose of the Sabbath Law in the Torah. It is interesting to compare how the context of the law shifts from Exodus to Deuteronomy. Who gets to rest, and why?
We all have good and bad thoughts from time to time and situation to situation. We are bombarded daily with spiraling thoughts(both negative and positive) creating all-consuming feel , making us difficult to manage with associated suffering. Good thoughts are like our Mob Signal (Positive thought) amidst noise(negative thought) in the atmosphere. Negative thoughts like noise outweigh positive thoughts. These thoughts often create unwanted confusion, trouble, stress and frustration in our mind as well as chaos in our physical world. Negative thoughts are also known as “distorted thinking”.

The French Revolution, which began in 1789, was a period of radical social and political upheaval in France. It marked the decline of absolute monarchies, the rise of secular and democratic republics, and the eventual rise of Napoleon Bonaparte. This revolutionary period is crucial in understanding the transition from feudalism to modernity in Europe.

2. What have you learned
from and how did you
use the audience
feedback?
During my project I have learnt how to construct a movie trailer, a
poster and magazine front cover, I have therefore learnt how to use
each of the programmes to help construct each media text (Adobe
Premiere Pro, Photoshop CS6, Illustrator). I have also learnt the codes
and conventions for the 3 media texts and how to adapt them to my
own work.
I have also learnt from the audience feedback I got at the start of my
project. The audience feedback that I received enabled me to create a
media product that is more appealing to my audience.
3. At the beginning of my research and planning stage, I sent out a
questionnaire to a few people to get their feedback on my proposal
for my movie and what genre they prefer to watch, I also asked if I
should have a sad or happy ending. I asked this question because I
wanted my movie to appeal to my audience and if they wanted a
fairy tale happy ending I would create an ending to do that. This
really helped me in the planning stages of my project because I
wanted to create something that appealed to my target audience.
What have you learned
from and how did you
use the audience
feedback?
More than half of the people I sent my questionnaire to say that they
liked the title of my movie, so I kept that the same because my
target audience said that they like the title and it was appropriate for
the plot of my film.
4. What have you learned
from and how did you
use the audience
feedback?
I asked this question in my questionnaire because
I wanted to know which gender my trailer would be
targeted at. Most of the people that completed my
questionnaire were females, so I know that most of
the questions that were answered were by
females.
I also wanted to know how old my target audience
is, so I asked this question and by looking at the
chart above, more than half of the people who took
my survey were aged between 16-18.
5. To go with this question I asked the people who
said no to give me some more suggestions for
movie titles. However because more than half said
that they liked the title, I kept it the same. By
asking this question it enabled me to see if the title
of my trailer would appeal to my target audience
and that it was appropriate based on my movie
proposal.
What have you learned
from and how did you
use the audience
feedback?
Move than half of my target audience said that they wanted
to see a happier ending over a sad one, I have challenged
this part of my feedback and created the end of my trailer so
no one knows how it will end, It looks like it could end badly
but they won’t find out until they watch the full film. I did
this because I wanted people to want to see my movie, and I
wanted to attract a wider audience. By creating this survey I now know what sort of
people my trailer will be aimed at, the majority of
people said that their favourite genre of film is
romantic/rom com, this allowed me to finalise the
genre of my own movie in the planning stages.
