Florence and The Machine
Digipak Analysis
Front Cover
A large image covers the whole of the front cover rather than the use
of lots of small images, focussing more on the artist than anything else.
The lungs on her chest are visible relating to the name of the album.
The use of the bands name in their typical font is used at the top of the
album, showing the logo that the band is known for.
Back Cover
The back cover again features a pair of lungs relating back to the album
Underneath the lungs we see the song titles of the album but not in a
list layout like we are usually used to seeing on the back of an album.
The barcode, record label and other copyright information is included
at the bottom of the page which is a typical convention of a digipak.
Disk Page and Inside Page
The disk page again carries on the theme with a pair of lungs. However,
they are being held in somebodies hands, possibly suggesting that the
life is being crushed out of them which could be a theme in the album
that the band are trying to put across.
The inside page is another photograph of the main artist of the band
which is simplistic and does not include any writing on it. We could
possibly assume that this is a booklet that is able to be taken out of the
digipak and contains more information in it.
