1. How do the elements of your
production work together to
create a sense of ‘branding’?
2. How we achieved a sense of
branding
We achieved a sense of branding through creating a
consistent look/feel across your different products. We did
this through techniques such as choices of colour and why,
fonts, layout, images and logos.
3. Choice of colour
Choice of colour is extremely important when it comes to creating a
sense of branding because it needs to be attractive to stand out to the
audience. The colour we choice is like a blend between purple and pink.
The reason behind this is because we thought that it would stand out the
most and contrast really well with a white background and we didn’t
want to use a dull colour like grey because it portrays the film to be
quite negative and boring.
4. Fonts
For our choice of font we didn't’t want to make it too childish or too
fancy because it is aimed at relating to everyone about a serious topic.
So the font we went for was ‘Jeepers’ for our movie title as we felt as if
the movie title needed a bit of flair to it and for our website we went for
‘Georgia’ because we felt as if it was the most simplistic font that isn't
too drastic either way and is very clear to read.
5. Layout
For our layout we followed a conventional short film
website layout because it related to our project and was easy
to achieve. We used the website ‘Wix’ to do this. What we
did was have images and links at the bottom and at the top a
range of selection of categories, along with our film title big
and bold and these categories have drop down menus to
make it easy to navigate around our website and for all
these drop down menus we have our production company
logo present on each page to provide a consistent sense of
branding.
6. Here is our home page for our website:
Consistent use
of production
logo over the
whole website
Sub headings – making
it easy to navigate
Consistent use of movie
title throughout the
website
7. Images and logo’s
Images and logo’s have a big part in consistent branding because they
are vital to the audience to create a visual sense of branding. For our
project we used as many images as we can to create a visual pleasure
for our audience and little text in order to engage more with them. We
used our production company at the top of every page to give a constant
reminder to the audience who the film is produced by, so by doing this it
will create a sense of branding across our film website.
8. Consistent use
of the
production
company to
attempt to
create a sense
of branding
Use of lots
of images
to create a
sense of
visual
pleasure
Use of
conventional
drop down
menus for the
layout. – makes
it easier to
navigate.
Use of bold
colours to grab
the viewers
attention. To
draw them into
the website and
make the website
visually
attractive.
9. Postcard
We integrated all of these things together to
create a sense of branding through our film
festival postcard. For our postcard we
followed the same colour scheme of
pinkish/purple and also added our
production company logo once again to
create a sense of branding through all our
products not just our film.
