 For the website and poster for the film Black
Swan there is clear synergy between the two
texts.
 They have used the same fonts, design and
colour scheme. They’ve used mainly light
colour that contrast with the small darker
sections.
 I have combined my main product and ancillary texts by having a similar
design and layout.
 I used the same fonts for my poster and website to create a steady flow.
 The font that I used for the credits on my website is the same font used
for the credits on my poster.
 I’ve used the same colour scheme of black and white for all the text on
both the website and poster.
No one in our group used the same font in our posters an website, therefore
we couldn’t find a font for the trailer title shot that matched all of 3 of
our designs, so we chose one that looked very similar to all 3. Even
though fonts I used are completely different there is a clear link between
the two, they both share the same disjointedness / fracture within the
letters. Even though I used a different font to the trailer for my poster
and website, I feel like there is still a clear link between the 3
as the font is still quite similar.
 I’ve also used a similar colour scheme across all of my ancillary texts and
main media product.
 I used lost of dull, cool, faded tones which add s a chill to the
atmosphere.
 Having a similar colour scheme makes it easier for the audience to create
the link between all 3 products.
 However, the trailer does have a few bright colours in some of the
scenes, if we had more time I would have adjusted the colour scheme so
it would be more similar to my ancillary texts to create clearer synergy
between the texts.
 I have used the same still images from the trailer in my website on the
‘Gallery’ Page.
 For the background of my website I used a small clip of footage that was
cut out of the trailer, however there is a very similar shot in the trailer
which was shot at a different angle. This shows a clear connection
between my website and the trailer.
 You can view the trailer on my website as well as clicking the link to go
to the YouTube page, I have uploaded this to the ‘Trailer’ page on my
website.
 You can also go on the social media pages I created, and put links to in
the top right corner of my website, to go and share your thoughts with
other viewers.
 We created a YouTube, Twitter and Tumblr
page for our trailer. The colour scheme and
font for the social media pages have been kept
the same to make sure that the match the
trailer.
 It is very important when promoting something
that there is a connection with social media
as most of the population is on the internet in
someway.

 I have tried to use lots of broken shadows in all 3 texts to show Blair’s
fractured personality, the shadows clearly show a hidden darker side to
our main character. I used different versions of shadowed clips for my
website on the ‘Home’ and ‘Gallery’ Pages, as well as for my poster. This
highlights the link between all 3 texts, it also shows the link to the
narrative of the trailer.
