This document outlines the evaluation plan for answering questions about a media product. It discusses using different technologies like SlideShare, Spider Scribe, Photoshop, and Prezi to present information for each question in a concise, visual, and creative format. The plan explains how each technology choice suits the type of content needed for the specific question. It also addresses some limitations or constraints of the technologies.

2. IN WHAT WAY DOES YOUR MEDIA PRODUCT
USE, DEVELOP OR CHALLENGE FORM AND
CONVENTIONS OF REAL MEDIA PRODUCTS?
I will use Slide Share as it will allow me to
present the information in short concise format
with the aid of images. This will make it more
interesting as there is a lot to cover for this
question. This will also allow me to present my
comparison in a creative way, by highlighting
specific elements I enforced or developed.
Furthermore, by using slide share I will be able
to answer the question on PowerPoint and then
export it to slide share.

3. HOW DOES YOUR MEDIA PRODUCT
REPRESENT PARTICULAR SOCIAL GROUPS?
I decided to use spider scribe, because it is a new
technology that I have used only once before. By
using spider-scribe I will be able to present the
information in a simple and creative way. This will
allow for an elegant looking design/format.
Since this question requires a lot of information, I
believe the use of this technology will best suit the
needs to answer this question as it will present the
copious amount of information and make it look
interesting.
However, there are some constrictions to using this
service. This is caused by the fact that they require a
subscription to use it. Luckily, they have a 30 day
free trial period. This means that during this time I
will have to complete the project.
Whilst looking through the website I
found that if you went straight to
“login” then clicked “sign up free now”
at the bottom of the page, you could get
a free subscription.
This subscription will most likely be
missing a few features, to force you to
buy the more premium versions.

4. WHAT KIND OF MEDIA INSTITUTIONS MIGHT
DISTRIBUTE YOUR MEDIA PRODUCT AND WHY?
This question doesn’t require a lot of writing so
I’ll be able to make it as colourful and simple to
read as possible. This will allow me to present
the information in a unique way. Furthermore,
the information being presented on this page is
related to the publisher and distribution
methods, where I will talk about Bauer and
social media groups that I will use to advertise
and distribute my magazine.
This means that when talking about this I will
have to make it as artist as I can without going
over-board. This is because if I don’t there will
end up being more text, and this will cause it to
look boring.

5. WHO WOULD BE THE AUDIENCE FOR YOUR
MEDIA PRODUCT?
Most of the magazines have media kits as it
makes them appear more professional. When
I was doing my case study on Kerrang! and
Uncut. I used their individual media kits to
aid me via providing the correct pieces of
information.
Furthermore, this question pertains to the
media kit as it asks for the information that
is found in a media kit.
The media kit will have to be created on
Photoshop as it will allow me to edit quickly
and create a more professional looking media
kit.

6. HOW DID YOU ATTRACT/ADDRESS YOUR
AUDIENCE?
I decided to use slide share because it resembles
the features found in a presentation, which will
allow me to convey my ideas in a creative way
with visual aid, this will allow me to make it
more interesting and attractive.
In addition, it will be done in a short and concise
format, I will also be able to create separate
slides featuring my; layout, photography and
colour choices. There may be two slide for each to
demonstrate how I got inspiration from each of
the two magazines (from task 2) and combined
them to make mine.

7. WHAT HAVE YOU LEARNT ABOUT
TECHNOLOGIES FROM THE PROCESS OF
CONSTRUCTING THIS PRODUCT?
During this stage I have decided to use the
technology that presents the information in the
best way, Prezi. By using this I will be able to
dedicate a slide to each technology I used to create
my magazine.
Within the slides I will be able to mention the
various tools and skills I have learned when using
them. Obviously, I wont be able to mention all the
skills I have learned on each individual technology,
as there are too many technologies and as a result
will take more than one slide. This will then make
the question go on for too long.

8. LOOKING BACK AT YOUR PRELIMINARY TASK,
WHAT DO YOU FEEL YOU HAVE LEARNT IN THE
PROGRESSION FROM IT TO THE FULL
PRODUCT?
I am considering to use spider scribe as this
question definitely require the most information
to be presented. This meant that by using a
spider diagram-like format I am enabling myself
to present the information in a clear and
understandable format.
When answering the question I will be able to
create a new section for each of the specific
examples I will be discussing. By presenting it in
this way, I will also be able to give a detailed
comparison between my own magazine and the
college magazine.
