2. I chose to do a poster and a magazine front cover for my ancillary tasks. This combined with my trailer I feel is very successful and effective. For my poster I used a picture of my two main characters this means that immediately you can see the link between the trailer and the poster. As the characters are in my trailer consistently. I also included the film name on my poster and the names of the actors who play my characters all of this back ups my trailer and makes it effective. As the title of my trailer, Violet is very clearly put at the end of the trailer. I choose quite basic colours such as brown as again I feel this represents the tone of my movie and the genre better. I also included similar basic colours in my trailer through costumes. I put my logo on my poster and on my trailer so as to link them both to my production company and make it very evident they both come from the same production company.

For my magazine front cover I included a picture of one of my main characters who by now throughout the trailer and poster my audience will recognise and instantly link all 3 of them together, making them more effective. I also clearly put the name of my film on it. This is clearly visible on all 3 of my products again clearly linking them to each other and hence making each one more effective. I again muted a lot of the colour however this time choose to play up the colour purple as I felt it was more appropriate for a magazine cover. I still put the image in black and white in order to reflect the lack of colour in my trailer and poster.

4. I also choose to do DVD extras as I had lots of funny outtakes to use for it. I uploaded my gag reel to YouTube on the same channel as my trailer. I feel that this makes my ancillary tasks and trailer more effective as it shows my characters in it and make my audience laugh and feel more connected with the film as a whole.
