Harry-Stephen Weedal
I have chosen a large age gap between my
target audience of between 16 and 28.
I have chosen this because I think it is suitable
to the genre of music magazine that I am
presenting.
I have also made sure that the price range is
affordable for people between this age
category. For example if a younger person
wanted to go and buy the magazine it may
seem quite expensive
The gender of my target audience is aimed at
both male and females, but mainly males. My
reasons for this are mainly because many of
this genres popular Artists and Bands are male.
Also the songs they produce are very male co-
ordinated, not meaning that girls cannot like
them or relate to them too, but it just seems as
if they are more targeted at males.
In my conclusion, my target audience is anybody who enjoys and appreciates
the music I am promoting.
It could be people older than my target range or maybe even younger.
The reason I aimed it at middle class people, means that people often enjoy
going to bars or pubs of an evening, that quite often have live music played
on an acoustic guitar. Acoustic guitars are often associated with Indie
music, therefore whether it be a group of friends attending university or a
group of older friends, the people going to the pubs are liekly to be middle
class and listening to Indie Rock music.

Evaluation 4x

  • 2. I have chosen a large age gap between my target audience of between 16 and 28. I have chosen this because I think it is suitable to the genre of music magazine that I am presenting. I have also made sure that the price range is affordable for people between this age category. For example if a younger person wanted to go and buy the magazine it may seem quite expensive
  • 3. The gender of my target audience is aimed at both male and females, but mainly males. My reasons for this are mainly because many of this genres popular Artists and Bands are male. Also the songs they produce are very male co- ordinated, not meaning that girls cannot like them or relate to them too, but it just seems as if they are more targeted at males.
  • 4. In my conclusion, my target audience is anybody who enjoys and appreciates the music I am promoting. It could be people older than my target range or maybe even younger. The reason I aimed it at middle class people, means that people often enjoy going to bars or pubs of an evening, that quite often have live music played on an acoustic guitar. Acoustic guitars are often associated with Indie music, therefore whether it be a group of friends attending university or a group of older friends, the people going to the pubs are liekly to be middle class and listening to Indie Rock music.
