How does your media productHow does your media product
represent particular social group?represent particular social group?
Gender- I have not aimed to promote both gender for my magazine, as its only female that are on my magazine.
My magazine is very gendered as my models are mainly female and would mainly attract to female However, it
subverts to the stereotype of RnB magazine because the artists are usually males. This shows that is doesn’t have
to always be dominated by males, females can do the same as male. Also, would help attract more female
audience. However, the color scheme; black, red, orange, goes with both of the gender as its not a “feminine”
color.
Age- My media product does represents to a particular social group, as my model for my front cover looks
older than she really is, this to attract audience who are at the range of 15-25. My models wore very casual
but trendy clothes, which would draw attention to the young generation.
